I got one of those! I googled a chunk of the wording, and it seemed someone just obtained the data from the previous hack and used it to spam every email address from the database with the the same text, but the related password pasted in. I just ignored it - I mean, I don’t even have a webcam. Mirrored surfaces like lenses crack around me.

I’m not upset at you at all! Sorry if it seemed that way, but it was one of those things last year that was endlessly frustrating. In the scheme of things, it wasn’t a big deal although we had a few people who wanted to make it more than it was. Quite frankly, I was a LOT more worried about the big players—Equifax, banks, phone companies—because those guys DO have data on me. AFF is not in possession of any information that will lead back to me without some effort, and even then, I’m not all that worried about people knowing where I play and read. I’m too damned old to care what they think about me.

Actually I think you should worry less about lack of progress now and instead feel proud about the remarkable many good stories you have finished so far this year. You have delivered lots of quality stuff and it is given that you cannot keep that pace forever. Keep looking for inspiration and things will start to fit together again.
I would love chatting about story ideas if it helps your story muse going again, but it will probably need to be a bit later. Currently the family is packing for the two week trip and I will have limited internet and less private space than normal for a while.-

Oh, man, that poor woman. She has all the horror of losing her baby and getting over that, and then they arrest her. Some real animals walking around calling themselves lawmakers out there.
I have the ideas, I know what I want to do, I just can’t seem to get it written down. But thanks, I guess I did do some good stuff this year, maybe it’s not so bad having another break!
I hope that trip goes well for the family there – I’m off on a bit of one myself for a few days the week after next and will be short of internet connection too!

Reds Under The Flower Bed is one of my oldest stories writing as JayDee – it was one of the first I loaded to AFF, back before I took my stories down and and then re-loaded a bunch on the same day in 2007. Near the start it says “Additional Credit: The idea for this came from an internet discussion with reikorikku and Deathstalker.” I no longer have any recollection of the discussion, and it even has the old story codes for using other than on AFF at the start. Ayy. It's short and unpleasant, like hungover toad. ...and now I remember the discussion a little. I’m 99% it included “Hey, I wonder what lines I could put in that would really get Godawful Fanfiction users spitting feathers?” Thanks for your review! I just had a quick scroll down it and I couldn’t face reading the fucking thing again, so good for you on managing it. ...hearing Toad say that would be just about the funniest thing ever written. In isolation, it's hilarious, complete with a mental image of Toad with a hammer and sickle flag appearing behind him and the Soviet national anthem blasting in the background. In context, though... As usual, you have a serious talent for giving the reader just the right sensory details to perfectly communicate pain, and there is actually something deeply unsettling about brutal murder taking place while happy music plays and the torturer features a happy, childlike smile. It was likely intended to be funny, and sometimes it can work for dark comedy, but there's also something kind of Orwellian about it. I think it was intended to be a trollfic originally, when it went on the grey archive. Then I think I posted it here because, fuck it, some folks like it. I have no such excuse for my later Piranha Plant snuff flashfic, Phytoerotic Asphyxiation. I mean, an actual communist revolution would be pretty bloody in Mushroom Kingdom – no wonder they took Koopa and co out as well! I haven’t played any lately. Most recent one I owned was Mario 64, which was a heck of a lot of fun but, what 20 years ago? The old NES ones were great fun in the late 80s/early 90s for little kids. Hard though. Yeah, absolutely have a lot less character establishment with fanfic, because you figure the fans know ‘em! But also with it being one of my earliest snuff fics I guess I just didn’t have a lot to work into it. Hell, I’d wonder why someone who did like snuff bothered. I couldn’t do more’n skim it. I bet about now you’re wishing you had continued not remembering it? I guess it all worked out in the end, as if you hadn’t gone for it we wouldn’t be getting The Woman In The Statue! The angel did come out of it not entirely broken thanks to you Thank you again for this unexpected review! I appreciate it.

Mike Rapes A Dyke is in a lot of ways the least defensible thing I’ve ever written in terms of themes and content. On the other hand, it gave us Declan who gets a nice minor role in Twinpregnation so maybe it’s not all bad. Thank you for this review! It’s always cool getting reviews for the old stuff/ Michael is one of the biggest pieces of shit I ever wrote. I always intended to do more stories with him, but never got around it. There isn’t really anybody related to him who isn’t a piece of shit either, except for his poor brother and sister in law. At least with decent parents the baby might grow up ok. If the girlfriend hadn’t cheated on her she might never have got in that situation. Bad business all round. Lily appeared in a part of a later story having made a deal with a demon to use her inventiveness to punish more minor demons so she’s definitely lacking in some innocence… She definitely didn’t deserve it tho really. I totally get where you’re coming from tho! Haha! Guy’s boasting about his junk there Nah, they’re just Declan’s Irish Mafia associates. Sure they’ll make you an offer ye can’t refuse. It’ll be grand. Thanks for the review! I appreciate it. I’ll re-read Mia’s new part later and post a review for that S’a quality story that one.

She could go with an establishing narration that the gender is unclear, followed by constructions like “The blond\e” or “s\he ran”, or just have the original fair haired thing and then after that go for non gendered descriptors like “stranger” or “helper” or “helpful stranger” similar.

Shame they didn’t take down all the copied and pasted stories when the first few were raised with ‘em though! “Oh, yes, genuine misunderstanding. It wasn’t nailed down so we figured ‘public domain,’ could happen to anyone, look at Melania with that speech... By the way there’s another baker’s dozen we did the same with, so we’ll delete ourselves...” Would have saved the guest and yourself a ton of work and time identifying and deleting the rest. That’s time you could have spent writing a new work of literature, wandering lazily through beautiful scenery, interacting with family or friends, or even reading fanfic about cute elves wearing each other’s assholes out! Honestly, I do respect the time and effort the staff put in here (and that anonymous guest too, for this case!). I’d always been far, far too lazy.
