This is probably pedantic of me, but probably any technical innovations that are out of patent or have otherwise somehow become genericised. Patent expiry in the united states apparantly takes 17-20 years depending on factors. Edit - Also, your problem with logging into the forum. Someone else once indicated they were trying to log in with their fiction archive username/password, but you have to re-register for the forum. Not sure if that's your thing, but if it is, hope it helps!

bloodravyn - Thanks for your review on The Witch's Lust - Hey now, it's a scary game, feels like need to have a little of that in a fan story Glad you found it kinda sexy too!

Apollo: Thanks for your review on the Poppy prompted story. Like I noted about I pretty much had to go with Oz for this one, Poppy field! I like being literal with it I guess... Tin Man is definitely a strange figure, he's the only one who carries a lethal weapon, well except maybe the Lion's claws and teeth...! Now that'd be a buddy cop movie: "The Tin Man carries a Lethal Weapon, The no-longer-Cowardly Lion Is one!"
-
Apollo Thanks for your review on the drowsy story - I think it's a fair point about the prompt use being a little heavy, it's something of a tendancy I have had with the prompts to pretty much take a really unsubtle use and bash people with it - like all the poppy mentions in the most recent I did, or all the moons in the Luna story! And of course, it is just based on a folk tale. There is no real Jenny Greenteeth... at least, not since she was eligible for NHS dentistry.
-
Apollo - Thanks for your review - You can always rely on Luna to see things from a different perspective. Or possibly a differently sane perspective.

Some parents have weird ideas about what's a good idea to put their kids in for. And that goes double for celebrity parents. Your friend's reaction was the smart one! I doubt anybody would want to act out that story. Maybe a big fan of violent movies. Oddly, I'm sure I read a story once about a teenager reading his older sister's diary, finding she wanted to screw him, and them ending up getting it on... now I kinda wanna go look for it. Was a pretty good story. Bah.
-
I can see there's a funny side, but everytime I think about it all it comes back to the poor woman finding all this stuff out about how her brother feels and thinks. Give me a few weeks I'll be totally laughing at the unexpected weirdness of it all. Requests known fictional characters are still good - I'm pretty sure this forum's KZ-01 isn't Felicia Hardy's brother, say, so I'm not worried about that story
-
The other would be asking them to just post domain/number such as Story is at: "movies" and "600090719" and asking readers to change another link to find the story, but even I can see most readers would find that too much hassle. I had a bunch of hard problem/stiff challenge viagra spam gags but there wasn't a good one amongst them. Sorry 'bout these assholes. I guess it'll just need to be a case of deleting them when they appear?
-
Happy to point it out - is it possible to disable the links for guests even there, but ask guest prompt-writers to post their story link without http so it appeared as : movies.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600090719 rather than a hyperlink, and ask readers to copy and past them to their browser bar. Or would posting it like that still be blocked as an attempted guest link?

Forum's here, so, eh... Lets see, I don't write real person stories/rpf/celeb whatcha wanna call it. I used to, and not all of 'em were especially violently themed. There was a Wrasslin' story that was pretty funny, and another one that seemed unpleasant but was an in character roleplay (which, got stolen and had the names changed by another "author" who then got banned from another site for submitting his version). Anyway, I took all my real person stuff down where I had posted it - except for one site where the admin refuses to remove any stories, but, hey, it's the internet ya don't stick stuff on the internet if ya don't want it to stay there in one form or another. I also used to do a lot of requests, celeb requests, fanfic requests, a couple original stories... I still would be 'cept I don't really get the time for writing like I used too. I liked requests, and they're about the only stories I write where it feels important to get a decent chunk of feedback from somebody, specifically the requesting person. Sure it's nice to get feedback on other stories, good or bad (gotta love funny flames), but I'm really not bothered not to get a review for most. I skimmed through and have 7 stories that never got a single review on AFF, though I know some of them got comments elsewhere, didn't stop me posting to AFF! Requests though, ya do a request someone wants, you try and get it close to what they want, and for them to not even tell you they don't like it (if that's the case) is sorta annoying. That's kinda a tangent though. The two points are: Used to write real person stories, and used to have time for requests. Anyway, back in early 2007 or so there was a guy who used to post on another forum who had an incest fetish. Not a "some stories with incest are kinda interesting" take on it, but basically it seemed that if it wasn't incest it wasn't sexy for him. Hardcore fetish type, ya know? He did a bit of artwork and he liked incest stories and I think he probably quite liked the Luke/Leia story I did, so he asked me to write him a story. It was pretty obvious that the male character was "him" or an idealised early 20s him anyhow. It was basically a self insert OC and so back then I had it in the originals catagory here. I'd also donet two other stories with his self insert because, as much as anything, I liked the feedback I got off him. As I say, seemed to count more with requests. A month or so after taking down my real person stuff - co-incidently, I figure - someone reviewed complaining he knew the guy's art online and since it was a real person it should've been in the other section, fair point. I hadn't thought about it when taking down the other stuff, because it was in originals. So I deleted it and being non-celeb/non-scifi/non-superhero etc it wasn't availailable in any of the other special interest places I posted my stuff, so getting it off AFF was enough. It had been on a gory story board, but I didn't think it kept stories on that were too old. Anyway, he seemed to drift away from other forums I'd seen him at and what with not doing any more stories with his self insert I pretty much forgot about it all until last sunday, when I got an email. The stories were visible in a subsequently posted archive from the old gory site and came up as first search result for the two characters names. One of the three had almost been randomly reposted on a music forum by one user trolling another, and that was the second result. Even on safe search. Now, the person sending the email was the current partner of the person who requested the stories, and she explained a few things such as 1) His self insert used his real name. It's kinda a rare name and sort of cool, so that and the fact that requesting dirty stories that are identifably about you for the internet makes no sense, meant I'd always assumed it was a fake name. 2) The sister character (these being tales of incest) was... his... real... sister. Real name, all the details and shit, were hers. Very much hers. This is slightly less belieable in taking a request from someone than them using their real name but then I did once see this guy say he admired Governer Palin (as was), so, y'know, alarm bells. 3) They have another brother who discovered the requesting brother's incest fetish and, more specifically, the sister's central and focussed part in it. (Remember how their names brought up my old stories first of all? Well, I gotta assume that may have had a part in this amateur sleath's discovery. I mean, "I'm Feeling Lucky" has never been such a poisoned challace...) 4) Said Brother told the rest of the family. I bet their aged Mom wasn't about to submit my writing to oprah's book club, that's all I can say about that get together. Oh, that and I feel very bad for the sister, you might think me incapable of empathy/sympathy... all of them except apathy, but I feel bad about this. That's not the kinda shit you want to read about you and your brother (or indeed, see depicted in Mr artistic genius' apparantly facially accurate artwork.) The places it was still being unexpectedly hosted removed the copies but it'll still be showing in web and search engine caches for a while to come to that family's irritation. Google auto remove copies from their engine at the click of a request button, but there's dozens more out there waiting for bots to re-spider across and update the caches. Anyway, long story short, a story I wrote back in 2007 partly to be nice to a guy and partly because I wanted me some feedback came back and boned me. Suprise booksex, even. And didn't buy me dinner first. I'm not posting for sympathy, ya don't write what I write and look for sympathy, but it's a cautionary tale. If somebody wants an original story writing.... tell 'em you're gonna pick the damn names. Unless it's something totally furry. Oh, and the other caution note is: If you want to request a writer do a story about your fantasy of your sister, use a few fake details, huh? Incidently, while looking into how many copies were around of that story I also found a celebriry fakes site that has taken one of my old and particuarly poor quality stories, made about half visible and has a link saying users have to register for more. If that's the level of their sales enticement they're lucky to still afford their domain hosting fees because it's a pretty shit story. Boy, I used anyway a lot in this here journally rant thing.

Difference in trolling and opinions.
JayDee replied to DarkInuLord's topic in Personal Rants & Journals
Huh, given that post is a shade under two years old said bubble may already have been burst. -
In this thread I will reply to reviews for any of my movies based stories. Wow, 18 prompt stories in before doing something movie related. Yeah, there's been all kinds of media for the Wizard of Oz but the prompt story "Poppies! Poppies!" was written with the 1939 movie starring Margaret Hamilton (oh, and Judy Garland...) firmly in mind. Easy enough to avoid an original book based story as the only books I've read are Gregory Maguire's much later take The movie also has the advantage that Judy played an older Dorothy, being 16 when they started filming. It's purely a personal thing and I mean nothing against other writers, but I'd feel squicky writing it with the book version. In the end though, what can I say, it has a scene in a poppy field! I know I did a sleeping rape story not too long ago, but I think this one was sufficiently different. Especially with the monkey. I had to refer to the Wicked Witch of the West just as "Wicked Witch", or I would have needed an extra three words each time (at least by that stage in the film she's the only known living Witch - you'd have to be a necrophiliac foot fetishist to go for the WWotE, not that there's anything wrong with that fantasy if it moves ya...) Only 100 words, dang it! Anyway, reviews: bloodravyn: Glad it appealed to you, thanks for the comment. Awesome porn is the best kind pittwitch: Heartless/evil, what's the difference? Weirdly the first image I had was zombies bursting out amongst the poppy fields of Flanders a little while after the first world war... Ding, Dong, the Witch got head... I'm constantly impressed that you manage to stomach this stuff, so thanks as ever for your kind review. Fairy Slayer: Thanks for your review! I didn't remember a full explanation for the curse in the movie - just figured he was all tinny (but not Tiny, if ya know what I mean) but I was reading about it afterwards and, wow, some of the Tin Man stuff in the earliest book fits in the old "messed up fairy tale" tradition! Going through that sort of thing you'd expect him to be more messed up with violence, really. He just needed the skirt out the way without taking off the whole dress, although the poppy leeching inside thing is a good idea. If anybody else asks I'll say sure, that's it "riveted for her pleasure" - haha I like that, ya gotta find a way to work that into a story of some sort The reason I made a point of saying no rivets was because I figured if I went down that route then it would have ended up a lot gorier, blood everywhere. Especially if they were rough edge rivets. Probably it could be specifcially described as being more like one of those bumpy dildos, but there is the word limit stopping too much detail.

Is there such a thing as AdultFanArt.net?
JayDee replied to Tigro Spottystripes's topic in Aimless Babble
There's a large number of free adult fanart sites. Listing any them will probably get this page moved to the site promotion room, but off the top of my head: wwoec.com (specifically, the guest artists area of the linked forum wwoecforum.com for most users - is also geared towards cartoons, but other stuff accepted). hentai-foundry.com (fan art, original art, quality standards apply meaning this one has a high standard of artists producing stuff.) rule34.paheal.net (as well as individual artists posting their work, lots of other fan art gets uploaded too, no quality standards only requirement is that it must be fan work, not original characters.) ...the list is endless. Really endless. Google image search is all very well, but you can occasionally find what you need by going to the regular search and typing something like "Where all the free fan art jpegs at?" ...or possibly more keyword based, and asides from the permenant galleries like those above and others you've got image sharing chan boards such as fchan (furries) or gurochan (uh, no furries there. at all. sadly.) and so on. and on. I personally would fucking hate to see AFF start being an art plus stories site. The stories always take second place and are seen by visually-oriented fappers as worth less than the most anatomically distorted scrawl. "You spent hours on it? Fuck you, that stick figure with titties is better!" Plus, in costs terms, a picture takes more bandwidth to download than most stories. -
Thank you kindly.

Catagory name: The Wizard of Oz (1939) Section catagory to be in: Movies Do you have any stories for it?: Yes - http://movies.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600093953 (If you think it would be better, instead of being specifically for the iconic 1939 movie, it could be named (All) for all movie versions or just no date at all...)

I can verify that older computers don't care for the RTE. I do most of my writing on an old laptop, for familiarity as much as anything, and used to be able to upload to the site from it. I can now, but it runs extremely slowly (many minutes between each click to react) and I found that trying to paste directly from wordpad rtf adds an extra line between each paragraph, which then was taking a very long time to edit out so I had to cancel uploading. Had a similar problem with the change to the new forum software - which is why my earlier prompts were often posted from "jaydeeloggedout" 'cos clicking to log in seemed to take too long! The forum hardly loads at all since the shoutbox/sidebars so I stopped coming on the laptop This isn't really an issue for me because I can just send a copy to the newer PC and upload from there, but I don't know what percentage of users are accessing from older PCs as their sole access, who may find it slowing down to frustrating levels, so I thought I'd better just offer confirmation of K.Blood's experiance. On the whole though I am in favour of the RTE functionality and remain grateful for it being added.

I heartily endorse this request! And I haven't even seen Camp Scare so I'm kinda going off old Velma, but even so! Wish I had the time to write it

Thread in wrong forum? (I did that as well not long ago...) Seven lessons? Well, seven is a magic number they say. Also - didn't feel let down with the Drowsy prompt for you
-
It's a good title and I see you already changed it. Really fits the story... Now I'm a go read the new part for Drowsy

What have you found out about the new store?
JayDee replied to ApolloImperium's topic in Aimless Babble
The 21 Billion figure shows up under the Global Economy overview (at least, it does for me so I guess that is what you're seeing?), the 2 Billion or so is what you actually have. Go back and click the tab for 'My Portfolio' as the starting tab is the global one. -
12 chapters in, and more to come! Whoo! With the story firmly established as an ongoing plot, have you thought about adding a title that says more than the AFF prompt connection? Certainly, with the way you've weaved the prompts into the continuing story it is become more than the sum of the prompts. I wonder if putting the current title as a modified A/N inside chapter one below a more plot/theme related title would deservingly draw in more readers too, though the summary probably helps there already. Please don't get me wrong! There would be nothing remiss in leaving the title as it is, it just occured to me is all when I was looking through again today.

Possibly I should clarify intent: I was really getting at how the old forums, or more specifically, since the software wasn't a whole lot different, large groups of the old forum users seemed to have some fairly hefty periods of downright unfriendly social interaction... I think there's a nostalgic tendancy to miss that, probably helped by the general placid nature of remaining older registered users. I hadn't even thought about it until the thread title here popped up. The reference to moms / childfree was so I could jokily sign off with a reference to how one group seemed to have changed/grown specifically recently and the *stir, stir* a jokey suggestion there ought to be lotsa fightin' again like in them days. I picked that particular topic only because of all the kids related shoutbox comments I glimpsed recently, and it might have easily have been something about more roleplayers / anti-role players for the purpose of the joke... Ain't nothing wrong with trying to be friendly, but I pretty much get by with downright rudeness and hope for best...
