So thank you again for this review, I really appreciate it! I think weirdly the language is the thing I like best about this story, at least in the earlier two or three parts, I think I’ve got it less right later on. Thanks again for urging me to write it! I hope to do the MF Ball the Midwife story sometime too!

With two years passed the OP may not be back, so I had a search out of curiousity – google says the only story with the term hairy armpit in the games subdomain is http://games.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600088734 It’s a Tomb Raider story posted before this thread and has a BDSM tag so I’m going to guess that one.

Hopefully all it needs now then is for us to re-click the yes option to get anon reviews back! BW’s games story Samahlen is a great story by the way, folks. It’s so good that it got me to buy and try Dragon Age Origins – BronxWench – it looks like your issues have deleted past reviews (including mine!) and also led to some of your reviews on other stories turned to anon? S’a shame, because it had some richly deserved reviews. Did you have to reload stories? As I say, real shame. I hope you got to keep some/all of the old reviews!

I’ve checked again while logged out and it’s still showing reviews allowed. Funny thing, must have reset itself but seems to be retaining now at least.

I don’t have a Final Fantasy story written yet, but I’ve started thinking up ideas as I’d like to get one done after finishing my current TV story. This is part of my quest to one day have a story on every AFF subdomain (with Celeb and NE probably being drabbles) Some of the other domains will also likely be prompt/flashfic onceshots, but for FF I feel I can do something longer. I played both FFVII and FFVIII on the original playstation, an FFIII on the SNES (numbered as FFVI in Japan… I think?) and viewed/heard footage and the like for other games. I think I even saw Advent’s Children, but wished I hadn’t. My main idea is for the FFVIII OTP of Zell and Angelo, having a little time out together in one of those big train meeting rooms. I figure Angelo goes into heat, catches Zell alone, and encourages him into sticking it in her. I mean, his defining characteristic was liking Hot Dogs, right? Some folks would say that it’s a barking idea, but I think it’s got legs. At least six. For FFVII, though, there’s also a story I could do with Aeris* and Cloud, but I suspect Cloud laying her body to rest has been done a bunch of times already. Otherwise sticking on FFVII, Barret getting a new gun arm attachment that has a mind of its own, and won’t… ahem, leave him alone. Anyway, once It’s done and up I’ll link it to this thread for any review replies, and it’ll be fun to see which one I got done. *I played the original mistranslated version so Aeris it is.

I’ve checked and as you say it’s updated and now showing anon reviews allowed on your story Samahlen. I guess this shows the same pattern with the issue as I had. It will be interesting to see if it remained set to anon reviews allowed in 24 or 48 hours for you – I’ll be checking my stories while logged out to see as well. I guess it depends if there was a one off system event that turned them anon reviews for some of us, or if it’s something that keeps happening despite the ‘yes’ setting. If AFF has lost the anon review settings for many users who haven’t noticed (as I hadn’t!), or is no longer retaining them for long afer clicking, then this could maybe be a reason for review amounts dropping off! I’m sure I used to get more anon than logged in reviews. Thought I ought to raise it for archive tech support either way. Thank you for your time (and that of any other folks!)

And a further note here – sorry still messing about – although alllow anon reviews was already set on Yes for me, I have clicked it again and logged out and now it appears Anon reviews are allowed for my stories. Checked back on BW’s Samahlen – still showing as log in requried. Possibly it has just re-set itself for some users, or something else has happened? Not sure now if it will be working for others for anon reviews on mine, or if it is something I need to select on a daily basis? I will check in 24 hours and see what is showing then!

Hi there, I just had a look at one of my stories while not logged in and it said you had to be logged in to review this story – I am sure I have always previously had anon reviews allowed (checking previous stories, there’s a buncha anon reviews!). BronxWench mentioned in a thread the other day that she allows anon reviews for her proile also, so I checked one of her stories and it also said you have to be logged in. What’s weird is this isn’t domain wide seemingly – BW’s Games story – insists you must be logged in BW’s LOTR story – allows anon reviews My LOTR story – doesn’t allow anon reviews I didn’t check all my stories, but couldn’t find one of mine that allowed anon reviews. The only difference with BW’s LOTR story was that it was co-authored. Has something turned off anon review for everyone for some domains? If so, please can mine be turned back on because a lot of folks don’t like commenting openly on my horrific crimes against humanity. I can do some screencaps if needed? I am using latest version of firefox because Google’s motto changed from “Do no evil” to “HAIL SATAN.”

I remember those word processers. My parents hHad a similar one in the house until we got our 486 PC in about ‘94/95, and then it probably went into a cupboard or classified ad. With my shorter flashfics up to 1000 words I often just have a rough idea, or a bit of word play, or a shit joke, and start typing to see what happens. Sometimes something pretty good happens. Other times it’s a load of horse cock. With my longer stories I’ve tended to come up with as many ideas and concepts to use, type ‘em in a text file, and then try and get them into a rough chapter plan order to work out how I’m going to do it, the plan will often include turns of phrase I’ve thought up to use. The plan will also sometimes get mixed around a bit with things being moved to other chapters or deleted. My current story plan is messed up a bit because I’ve found I can’t fit everything I wanted in part 3, so I’m rejigging part 4 and so on. Even with all that I sometimes have a really hard time getting things down as they are in my head. I sometimes sit here for minutes trying to find the right frigging word that’s on the tip of my tongue – sometimes I try and google for it. I don’t have any character sheets either, which probably means I’ll contradict the shit out of myself one of these days. Another thing with me was I did a lot of request stories for other people, and for some of those they had a paragraph or two about what they wanted to see so that part of the work was already done, in a way. To take an example from the forum – If I did one of T_B’s requests, say. These usually have a plot outline, a few details of characters to be included, and indicate the main fetish or fetishes involved. All I’d be doing there would be hanging the descriptions and whatever perversity occurs to me off that skeleton, and crediting T_B for it. I guess with requests like that, it’s like someone’s dug down three feet by six and you the author just have to dig another three by six. Sometimes it could be difficult because I’d say to the requester, “What about if X does Y?” and they’d say that they would never know arousal again, you monster, Harry would never felch Amelia, but otherwise it’s basically easier developing someone else’s story idea with those.

Isn’t it great? That’s a thing I love about AFF, you can be in some random subdomain (in my case I had been checking a detail on one my own stories under the paranormal > general catagory and clicked general at the top and saw this’n, since it’s the most recent story, sat right about You!) and find something awesome. This story is so gloriously crazy it works! In case anyone here is wondering why I haven’t posted promos for your stories I’ve gushed over it’s because you’re here and can do yer own you lazy bums, but this author isn’t on the forum. I’m sorry to disappoint and say that I don’t accept commissions, and it’s not just because AFF has a rule against them. Although that’s part of it. I’m sure you can find an author with higher self-regard and no moral qualms to do it outside AFF. Probably even inside AFF if the mods aren’t looking. On the free request front I’m afraid I’m too busy to start on Lady Grantham filth at the moment (although I’m sure O’Brien getting a firm bare bottomed spanking from her Ladyship would have gone down well with prime time audiences)– If you have specific ideas for a Downton Abbey story I would suggest starting a thread in the TV challenges/requests subforum and seeing if anybody is able to take ‘em. Cobbled streets, gyroscopic-like ability to stay upright, and a saddle that seemingly self adjusts for the rider are just the ticket to get a well bred midwife dripping like a fucked fridge, as the poet chappy has it. There’s a physical influence on Chummy – the riding is getting her body aroused which in turn has a distracting impact on her mind. It’s not meant to be mind control, free will is important for what’s happening, she has to make choices, like the choice to respond to kissing, and to go along with Jenny’s sudden sexual advances – but it’s all visions in her mind, sort of like showing her her possibilities, testing how she reacts while physically aroused and faced with willing offers and of course building her long repressed lusts to the old fever pitch but with orgasm denial. Sort of like a lucid dream where if she cottons on to it being a dream she can be more actively in control. She could be keener to ask questions during the next erotic reverie, and probably actively angry during a third, perhaps suggesting that whatever’s behind it is somewhat lacking in direct experience at the corruption gig. Bit new to the role. No doubt Chummy’s heightened-lust fuelled imagination is focussing on other midwives due to mining Chummy’s half forgotten teenage dreams about girls from her school. And not just because I fancied writing femmeslash. Ok, mostly that. She definitely has a good imagination, I’d say. I might change the last line of dialogue in the dreamstate though. It’s supposed to indicate Chummy being ‘woken’ before she gets off (the orgasm denial thing), not that it was being directed, but I don’t think the intent is clear. Definitely one of the bits I’m not entirely happy with in part 2, and generally I’m finding it tough going pulling the overriding ideas into a coherant whole that makes sense. Still, if I fuck it up with huge plot holes and the whole thing proving pointless as a plot, there’ll at least be some fair to middling bits of porn description and fun dialogue to pull out. I am trying to do each part completely in a week, a bit like the old dribs drabs prompt style (though cheating on the order of prompts and knowing what comes next). I’m really glad you’re enjoying it and finding it captivating and I hope other readers like it too! If I ever get on to do my Ball the Midwife idea, at least that one won’t be femmeslash!
