Not a problem, I do try to answer these questions as quick as I can, but some days I have other things which require my undivided attention. I apologize if I was not quick enough in response.

Finalized general structure for the subdomain
DemonGoddess replied to DemonGoddess's topic in General
Where possible, I have mirrored the structure for the top level Angel category in tv, to match it to the top level Angel category in buffy. I've also moved almost all the stuff OUT of the buffy subdomain that did not belong there. Still working on one more, but it's 42 chapters, and that TAKES awhile. -
Flaming is flaming. It's where someone states something in an effort to cause an argument (flame war), and/or to hurt the person they're posting to. In other words, malicious posting. So, yes, flaming as you know it for the forum, would also apply to review boards. Having said that, one does have to take a long hard look, to be sure it's not, in fact, a harsh criticism rather than a flame. While those can also be offensive, they're not necessarily flames, although to my way of thinking PERSONALLY, I consider them flamish. But, that's one of those things which are irrelevant when it comes to looking at something. Personal feelings/thoughts aside, I have to look at ALL sides of it.

The support link goes to direct to email. I changed that yesterday, and tested it out. I sent your user information on to Jaxxy yesterday, as well as linking her to this topic. I've also sent the additional email you showed in your last post to her, just a minute or so ago.

Out of the first run, I gotta say, II and VI are my faves.
-
You might want to keep that, as you can always use it later...
-
Absolutely. I'll forward your contact information to the person who needs to have it. Also, thanks for bringing it up, that needed changed for awhile, as the app is prone to being hacked so it's been enabled. So, I edited those links to a simple email where a prospective advertiser simply emails in with questions.

"and I shall have him! I'll chase him 'round the moons of Nibia, and 'round the Antares maelstrom, and 'round Perdition's flames, before I give him up!"

We added the recaptcha last year in an effort to reduce the spam bombs we'd get hit with every couple months or so. You're welcome!
-
FYI, when one requests a new subcategory, it is because they themselves have a story to post for it, not because they saw one, or would like to just see the category exist. Those don't get added.
-
It sounds like the user is not doing the required recaptcha to post the review. If you don't have scripts enabled in your browser, you need to, as that allows the recaptcha script to be seen. Without doing the recaptcha, the review won't post, a new story won't post, a number of things cannot be done.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Just like with any game, it takes dedication, lol. Now, I just gotta upgrade my vidcard so I can join my clannies at sea and start SINKING people again.

Left over flame review
DemonGoddess replied to Ezriee's topic in Review boards/AN Chapters/Excessive AN fixed
Like I explained to Melrick, the utility for us to be able to remove this sort of thing from the board itself doesn't want to work quite right. So, it still needs posted up, and then I go through and kill it in the database direct. You're right, the user was deleted as a flamer. And, this points out that sometimes the utility we use for deletion leaves stray bits behind, so I will have to also go through and look for orphans in the tables again, and make sure that they're toasted. -
LOL, well, it's fixed again. Sorry for the delay. What game is that you're featuring in your siggy?

the advantage of being in his guild....it's not automatic death for me...
-
This would be part of the new stuff being written, and wouldn't be incorporated in the current scripting, I'm afraid.
-
LOL, you guys.... I've been a bit swamped with some extra work stuff, and with the economy the way it is, I don't EVER turn down extra work. BUT, I have this on my "to do" list for the weekend.

This one is SPECIAL This one has a problem with understanding clear communications. We (collectively) have deleted this person over SEVENTY TIMES from the archive. Whether using the shadowninja88 login, or lightninja64. Newest, and hopefully LAST profile is here.

It's, as you said, a time factor this time. All of us have been very busy with real life stuff. Me ESPECIALLY, and as I'm the one who generally tends to do the every other day check, there is your problem. I do have it on my "to do" list for today, to check on all the stories, but I'm also STILL trying to get a workaround for the mail server which is sending, but not receiving any mail other than whatever is sent to a bad address. If I don't get a workaround for that, I've got a temp mail address set up which I'll have to then edit in the scripts so that we GET the email that we should be. And, I've got things to fix here in the forum as well, from where I tried to upgrade it to the newest version, and it won't work (SQL version incompatibility). THOSE, at least, are relatively minor fixes. The other stuff, not so much.
-
No, on the wrist. It's finally better. Yes, on something going on. Damn mail server is not receiving mail, so between trying to get that sorted out, and working extra over the last several days, no time to edit the files I need to, to get this fixed. I'm hoping to get to it by the weekend.

I'm for giving an honest opinion.

About 3 weeks ago, Nexcess performed an upgrade to the mail servers they host. In that time, we went from being unable to send mail, to now being unable to RECIEVE mail. It has something to do with the MX records for the domain, and as I have no access to fix it, we're waiting on Nexcess to fix it so that they do, indeed, work again. In the meantime, I've set up a temporarily gmail address to where any mail should be sent until the hosting company fixes the issue. The email address is - afftosteam@gmail.com So, for whatever the problem is, whether it's something that the moderators can help with, or I personally can help with (i.e. forum stuff for example), or other issues, please send to the above address. As always, all my email addresses are listed in my archive profile as well, so I can always be contacted in that manner as well.

not at all, only now I'm going to have to delay this at least tonight, if not for a couple nights. Sprained my damn wrist at work, so using my right hand at all is painful.
