  1. Also, to clarify the hiding thing, when that is done, your story is still there, just not open for viewing until the correction has been made. Once the correction is made, it gets unhidden. One of us does check the hidden stuff regularly, so whether or not the user notifies us they have indeed complied, we still look and make the necessary adjustments and unhide upon finding the correction. DELETION doesn't happen unless/until the user decides that they're just not going to comply for whatever reason, and generally speaking the story in question has been sitting there, hidden, for up to 3 months. Granted, the FAQ says 30 days, and then it's deleted; but if one looks at time available for the person processing the deletions (me), it's no surprise that I run very far behind on that part.
  2. I'll have to check the permissions for the advertising module, because the other modules in the bug tracker do work. That's likely what the problem is. As you're the first to say something about it, this would be the first I've heard about it. Which part of that menu is not working (so we know what to fix)? Your advertising request will be sent along to the appropriate person, in the mean time.
  3. As you've no doubt surmised, there was an outage of service. We've not been informed yet as to the nature of the problem which caused this outage, but I expect it will be along the same or similar lines as what happened before, meaning a hardware outage. We are very sorry for the inconvience.
  4. I remember seeing SEVERAL stories like this, actually. At least three that I can remember that are 30 or more chapters.
  5. You can use the password recovery from the archive, as you were registered with your current email. The archive will mail you your password. Another thing to remember, is that often, users use a different name for login from the pen name. If you can't remember your login name, or the password retrieval doesn't send it, let me know, and I will send that to you privately.
  6. First of all, at some point, you did indeed register for the archive. You have an active author page link, and the email address used for both archive and forum are identical. It has been a long standing rule of this forum that registration REQUIRES that one has an archive login first. This link is checked (the entire reason for the two step validation) before final approval for forum use. Looking at your forum birthday information, the reason you're asking about registering again, is because you lost your login information perhaps? If you're wanting to simply change your pen name, you can do that from your author user panel in the archive. Duplicate (and more) registrations are actually not allowed. As we find them, we delete them.
  7. There is no Bleach section in anime, unless you moved it to the admin use only category. In which case, you'll need to use the jump menu, navigate to the bleach subdirectory, and then add it there. Anything misplaced is routinely deleted.
  8. The only clickable link the software allows is in the home page field. BB code and html do not work in this software.
  9. You also can accumulate them very quickly in the arcade. When someone sends you NP, they can opt to send a pm with the gift of points.
  10. I thought that had been deleted before. No matter, I'll find it and fix it.
  11. wordord review#873 and review#2400, sid 1383
  12. New sub sub categories- in AU/FemSlash Buffy/Faith Buffy/Willow in Buffy/FemSlash Buffy/Tara Dawn/Faith Faith/Willow We've started the sort/notation of glitches and etc for Slash, and now I'm moving everything around from the FemSlash sort. Due to several of the crew either having computer problems, real life issues, work issues and etc, it has slowed this project down tremendously. Thank you for your continued patience.
  13. I would do as Melrick suggested. I know that the store is a little wonky at the moment, the other mods are working fine, however (casino, arcade, battlemod) as far as I know. Since the next upgrade is MAJOR, and I have to re do each and every modification from scratch, I won't be making minor fixes, but get it all at one time.
  14. If you've enabled autosave, you should be able to recover a save before it got garbled. If you did not, then the file is toast.
  15. Here's the deal. You can argue all you like with me, or anyone else as to what/where the challenges and requests are posted on this site. The entire REASON it was all shifted to the forum, is that the forum is better able to handle the load, for a number of reasons. Thus it will NOT be shifting back. I've checked several places, and have not yet found this challenges subcategory that I apparently missed in deleting the over 800MB of them and search requests from the archive last year. Considering that in the multiple fanworld subdomains there are 200+ subcategories per where this might be living (and there are six where this applies) one can surely see that it is entirely possible that I may have missed one over a year ago. Considering that my free time is not limited, as I work full time and have a family to care for, among other things? One can see why I would need a direct link if that is to be eliminated as well sooner, rather than waiting for me to find it while we continue with the clean up of the archive as a whole. If you are looking for support as to WHY an upload is taking you so long, without any information as to browser, connection speed, and operating system, you will get no help. More information is needed from a user in order to give them any kind of help of that nature. Don't post that request to this topic, as it will be ignored. There is a forum specifically for tech support, which is where such a topic should be posted. As to how it works in forum, the challenges/requests are actually much easier. The user does not even have to be registered for the forum to use those sections. Links are enabled, so if a challenge is answered, for example, a direct link to the story is easily put up, which is clickable. MUCH better than copy/paste and hope you got the address right. As to harshness of answers from me? I am very direct, blunt, and to the point. If you can't handle that, I don't know what to tell you. I've been like that for near 50 years, and don't see it changing any time soon, if ever. For that matter, the more pressed for time I am, the more terse any reply I give is bound to be.
  16. It depends upon what browser you're using. There are certain items in the ibStore which only work in Internet Explorer. If memory serves, the glow pen is one of them.
  17. Actually, challenges are posted in the forum ONLY. Challenges posted in the archive are deleted. This is stated in the Terms of Service for the site itself. The link in the menu FOR challenges and requests directs you to the forum. Specifically, to the subforums that were created specifically for this. As far as there being a challenge section in the archive, there shouldn't be one any longer, anywhere. Now, considering how many subdomains and 2nd level categories I went through to find all those challenge/request subcategories and delete them over a year ago, it's possible I may have missed one. I'm not saying it's not. However, YOU should also be aware of the terms of service for the site, and the fact that this is something that was announced and announced and announced several times, before the challenge sections were eliminated, as well as during the deletions, and afterwards. Along with WHERE and how to post challenges and requests. Finally, there is also a part of the TOS (again, you should take the time to read it, that way you are clear as to what is and is not allowed) where it CLEARLY states that content may be deleted at any time, without notice and/or notification. Having looked up when you joined the archive, you joined LONG after this change of putting challenges in the forum only came about.
  18. Like I said earlier, dogma and common sense, as well as logic are often not compatible. Regardless of the religion in question. I think that this man who did this to the nine year old, should be not only in prison, but put into general population. From what friends of mine who've worked in prisons have said, as well as news reports in past and whatnot, the inmates would do more to exact justice from this beast than any legal system could.
  19. An author's note in the form of a story (which is what your email stated this was) we consider an unfic/nonfic. As I explained to you in the email I sent, we find those, they are deleted.
  20. Deleted all 5
  21. See, that's the thing with organized religion. Dogma and common sense often never EVER meet. Very contradictory.
  22. Everyone, what you're looking at is classic flamebaiting. So, what you do is ignore it, let the mods handle it (which is being done), and continue your discussion. As to the original topic... Personally, I cannot see allowing a raped 9 year old to carry a child, period. For one, it's dangerous to her, physically. It could KILL that girl. Why on earth anyone in their right mind would think it's okay for a little girl to risk life and limb to bear the result of a rape is beyond me. I'm glad that she was allowed to terminate that pregnancy. But, that's my opinion.
  23. A good drabble is fun to read. I think what the one person suggested, about putting several on one page, as a chapter, rather than several chapters, would probably work best.
  24. I take it this is offsite, and locally on your computer? If so, what program are you using?
