  2. Your one story is hidden. If it's been deleted, then you would have done it, as it's not reached that point yet. Flaming is not tolerated here, and as you flamed in your disclaimer correction, the result is that the story gets hidden.
  3. Deleted.. With a lead in of "I know this isn't supposed to go here", I'd betcha the user knows full well where it SHOULD go.
  4. If you clicked the moved link, it would've taken you right to the topic, here, as your story AN's don't go in to the personal rants & journals forums, but in the forums related to where they're posted in the archive.
  5. No more than 600 words per chapter, for all AN in a chapter, actually. We've actually got an option built in for the new software in development. However, it doesn't want to work with the current software (we tried testing it and are still trying to see if there's a workaround that will work with the much older code). If you want to discuss your stories, yes, you can do that in the forum, not the review board. As to the stresses, that has everything to do with age of the current scripts, how they parse the data, how they interpret queries, how queries are structured for it, and load to the database server itself. Seeing as how there are incompatibilities, and in fact drastic changes to the query language itself from when this was written, and the versions it was written in, to now; this is where we run in to many issues with putting new functions in to the old software. With the version gap between languages and software, there have been significant changes in how scripts need to be written, and how things are structured. To the point where if inserting a function in some for instances, written in php3, it may not work in php4 or php5, and often DOESN'T work. That has to do with how the php interpreter itself has changed. Also, inserting a function written in a more current version of the language doesn't always work either, as while the interpreter will use it, there have been many times where we've found it's simply not supportable in the old code itself and causes problems of moderate to often severe variety within the old code itself.
  6. This story is a drabble, so it's the only one not deleted out of this list.
  7. thank you, it's gone.
  8. they're all gone now
  9. I'll tackle these in a bit, have another snow day, so ...
  10. LOL would've LOVED to see that! Bet the look on the kid's face was PRICELESS
  11. *needs a nuke smilie* heh all gone
  12. You can bookmark the story in your browser. At this point in time, that is the only bookmark option available. Otherwise, you could put it in your rec reading list, and click the link you create yourself to check for updates (what I do for authors and/or stories).
  13. The most I'm doing with these at the moment, is to make sure they go into the admin category, which is the stories to be moved to a different subdomain, that are old.
  14. mst's are allowed, so that one can stay. The crosspost that was garbled, I deleted
  15. the last unchapter, the user had contacted me directly, and gotten special permission for that format for a TOC for the round robin story. Generally, no, this would not be allowed except under certain unusual circumstances, such as this one.
  16. yes, allowed
  17. html corruption
  18. I looked at the actual record, there's quite a bit more content. This is an html corruption (wordord variant) from the big crash
  19. chomped
  20. all those challenges are history...
  21. Well, if you're really wanting to look at old challenges and post 'em up, any one of us will be happy to delete 'em no matter the age. The AN chapters and such, though, I won't be getting to until we get to that subdomain for the clean up, most likely. Those have to be killed direct in the database.
  22. Second one was a series of challenges and is now deleted. The first is definitely an AN chapter, and I'll deal with that in a bit.
  23. thank you, they're gone
