I just tried to duplicate the problem and am unable to. You did remember to select the chapter from the drop down provided? I know, obvious, but sometimes it's an obvious thing.

For the AN chapters, one of the mods (or I) will email her, and she'll either remove them, or all those stories will be hidden. She'll also be added to our "sweep" sheet (where we document everything we find as we go through the archive). For your other question, only under very special circumstances, is someone allowed to take over another account. In that for instance, they don't actually take over the account, they create their own. I then require proof that permission is given to take over the stories, and will transfer them over to the other user. That is the ONLY way it's allowable.

NP, it's nuked. Teaser chapters are not allowed. As it was ONLY the one chapter, I nuked the entire story. If it were an additional chapter on top of more, then the user would've been told to remove it. And, if the user didn't...then the same thing as happens with bad disclaimers applies.

...and they're gone

The big splits are DC and Marvel as they have the largest 'verses. All the OTHER publishers will remain where they're at.

Deleted the duplicate

The mods check these all the time, and if you look at the date(s), the user(s) will be getting something from one of 'em saying that the disclaimer is not correct. Also, with the current stories, if the user does not CORRECT the disclaimer within a specified period of time, it gets hidden. If they don't correct it after it's been hidden 30ish days, it's DELETED. I appreciate the looking at this, but the moderators already do this.

Because I was at work, and this is something that I have to get approved. I doubt it'll happen, but I will ask. Before I do that, however, give me examples of what you would like to SEE and mean exactly, for a roleplay board.

Okay. Please read this FAQ. You'll see EXACTLY what needs to be done. The disclaimer field is for disclaimers, not song citations. Citing songs, or quotations, or anything of that nature, is done within the CHAPTER. It doesn't count as an AN, or anything else like that. So, what I'm going to do, is unhide it, for now. Please do be sure to go through and get your citations in your story properly.

Okay, last I checked, all the codes were still there. As to how to edit the summary, you edit your story, select edit details, and ADD that to the summary. You can use the content code drop down only when doing the first posting.

That's a direct result of the big crash in 2004. There is loads of this sort of thing throughout the archive.

No way to block the user for you, however, if the user has a login, I may be able to do something anyway. You're absolutely right, there is a REASON we have people report abuse. I'll see what I can do on this end.

It's more likely that the one is NOT plagiarism, but a minor trying to make it appear that they are not underage. So, I will look at that duplicate user set with that in mind first. It's a pretty common occurrence, that an underager will come in, put a blurb in profile to lead people to believe at a glance that they are, in fact, over 18. Then, they come back when they're REALLY over 18, and start re-posting while ignoring the original profile. Of the duplicate (or more) memberships I've handled over the last 2 1/2 years, I'd say 80%+ of them are exactly what I just described. It's a real mess. The second looks like an accidental double post, which I'll merge the reviews and rates in to one story, and delete the duplicate.

Twisteddarkness, Is your story based on the manga or anime arc? If it's manga based, then I'll create it in that subdirectory.

The author was emailed to properly cite the songs used in the story, has not done so, and the story is hidden until that is fixed.

Well, if they don't respond, the worst that happens is they get deleted entirely. Kind of depends, really. Initially, such a story is hidden while we wait for user response for permission being had to do this from the original author. They provide that permission, I leave the story alone. They don't, it's deleted. If I find they're doing this to post for a friend or something who's underage, THEY are deleted.
