Myth Busters was added before I was doing it, and yes, as it's a form of reality show, it never should have been created in the tv subdomain. It was, so that means I have more stuff to move. oh joy *sighs* In any case, anything with REAL PEOPLE goes in celebs. Period. Whether or not a category exists for them there yet or not. As to the wrestlers thing, again, that was something done yonks ago. I can see the logic in it, in that those are these peoples' stage personas/names for that venue. So, it would still go in to celeb as they are still real people using stage names. The story about the person from Deadliest Catch, as it's a reality show, with real people using their real names, would go in celebs.

Okay. Going by this link, this started out as a kind of urban legend/boogie man sort of thing. So that's where it would go. You find it here.

You need to delete that AN chapter. They're not allowed at all. Guidelines for author notes are as follows - NO AN chapters Author Notes may not exceed 600 words per chapter If you happen to be adding a story as an author note, those are deleted as soon as we see them.
-
You would be right in that one of us missed it. When you figure an average sweep for disclaimers in this subdomain alone nets us 12 to 17 pages of updates we go through, at 15 stories a page; we do occasionally miss some.

First, the link to the search parameter I used. Loads and loads of links there to help you. Second, a visual. Finally, if you've ever been hit in the solar plexus, it knocks the wind out of you, hurts like hell, and in general disables you pretty damn quick. Had a horse kick me there when I was cleaning feet.

Generally, like any other web hosting company, Nexcess gets payment via credit card, debit card, pay pal, or mail. The problem is that by having people send direct to them, while a temporary solution, they won't let me continue it, as they want to ensure that the accounting stays accurate. It would be too easy for things to get screwed up for their AR dept. So, that means it has to be solidified in one location. Which, at this point, falls to me. After thinking about it overnight, I look at it this way. I can do this for however long it needs to be done, with the understanding this is not permanent. I don't want this to be a permanent solution to begin with. Also, in order to be sure that there is NO question as to how the monies brought in are used, I can always show my paypal activity report for each month. Of course, blocking out private information such as emails and my banking details. I think that's fair. Normally, I use paypal and it debits my bank account directly. So, to keep things separate, the one monthly transaction I have, I can make a deposit to my paypal from my bank, to be sure it gets paid from MY money, not site money. That, of course, would show on any statement as well. I'll certainly look at the other options, and see if their TOS has similar conflicts. If not, then I'll check the rates and what not for them.

First, I got an email from the hosting company, saying that they want me to switch the donations to an individual paypal, which then is used to send to them. Not a problem, except for this.. The part in bold. So y'see, that kills me setting up an account where it's specifically the site's. I do have a paypal account. Have had for years. However, I really did NOT want to put this in to my paypal. It's not my money. So.....now what?

yeah, with that one it's not a preview. The whole story is like that.

First of all, the story isn't in my list of hidden stories for the book subdomain. If you're having an issue posting another chapter, that's entirely another matter. It has NOTHING TO DO with disclaimers. Now, if that's what's going on for you, I need to know when you attempted to post it, and for you to step out what you did. Without knowing that, I can't help you.

Current tag list - updated 8/29 You'll notice there are some additions, some were requested additions, one is a clarification. I mean N/C-NonCon=NONCONSENSUAL which means rape. But, to make it so there is NO misunderstanding that tag, I added a RapeFic tag. I'm also thinking about removing the tags F/F, M/M, and etc as THOSE are subcategories now, so it makes the tags unnecessary. Then, with your permission (once you've updated pdf), I'd like to add it as a downloadable in the FAQ which lists the codes

Added everything but "R63" as there is already a Gender Bender tag

We've been exceptionally shorthanded the last few weeks, so it's been me and one other for that time. Normally there are a few more than just me. Hence the being stretched very very thin thing, lol. I unhid your story after I responded yesterday.

That, and a pesky little thing called sleep. I've been stretched very very thing the past few weeks.

Thank you to the members who've donated, and the advertisers who've chosen to work with us! You all help keep this site going! Status update If you have recently donated, I apologize for the automatically generated "support ticket" from Nexcess. I've asked they turn that option off for money recieved. In the meantime, should you get that, ignore it. You'll get a second one when the ticket will autoclose (48 hours later), ignore that too. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. As of today, our new target number is $800.00. Nexcess found some funds which had not been properly applied, which wiped out a large part of the balance owed. There had been money sent in, which they had to track down as to which domain it actually belonged to. Once they were able to figure out where the money belonged, it was applied to AFF's hosting account. As always, we appreciate any donations whether time or money. I thank you for the continued support. Finally, if you, the readers, could let your authors know that you enjoy their work, I know you'd make them quite happy! I'm sure they'd love to hear from you in the form of a review. Reviews often inspire the authors in new directions, and also tell them what works and what doesn't, in their stories. They work hard to bring you their stories, so please let them know you appreciate it! Until next time... DemonGoddess061

I was asked to put up additional instructions, by a donator. She pointed out to me that not everyone would know how to do this, as you're not purchasing goods or a service. She was right in reminding me of that, as it simply never occurred to me that not all of us are complete computer nerds, like me. So here we go.. After you've logged in to paypal- Click send money in the top menu in the field asking for email address or mobile number input affforums@gmail.com Next, type in the amount you wish to send Next, choose what currency you're using (paypal autoconverts to USD) Next, click the personal tab, in the type of payment box select other In the email to recipient area, in the subject of the mail, type your pen name, then Y or N. This will tell me whether or not to add you to the public listing of donators. click send money. Done! ---

Is there an point where story content is not accepteble?
DemonGoddess replied to a topic in Legal Questions/Debates
There are many, many things I'm simply not comfortable with even reading. Having said that, I make use of the tags in the story summary. If the tags show the story is going to be something I don't like, based on content, I don't even bother to click the link. That, after all, is what the tags are for. This way, it's my OWN damn fault if I start reading story which has content I KNOW I will find objectionable based on personal preferences. After all, if I pay attention and use the information given to me by the author or authors, then I can comfortably assume that I am avoiding the stuff I know I don't like. -
i can't understand what is wrong

If it was still hidden earlier today, it's still there. I've not deleted any of the hidden stuff for a few days. -
added/not added through 9/3/10
DemonGoddess replied to Kasiniare's topic in Archive Category requests
There have to be five pre-existing stories in the archive before I create a pair specific category. -
This is identical to what the user posted to their ffn account as well. No special notes about asking for a beta in German, or nothing like that, in either place.
-
These two look to be plain old troll fic, I'll process the profiles accordingly, so leave the "stories" up for now until I get that done.

At this point, I'd say it's likely I've deleted them by now for non correction. I won't know that for sure until I look at the sheet. If you read the notice you were given on your review board, you would have seen that if you did not correct the issue or issues pointed out that the story or stories would be hidden. You would then have ALSO seen that if you continued to leave the story non compliant, that eventually it or they would be deleted. I do wait a minimum of 30 days to delete once I've hidden something. -
Yep! That's exactly what is needed.
-
Deleted all the above... As to why the user is posting teasers for others? Hard to say, but it's not the first time we've seen it. In any case, just means I delete that too.
