  1. Actually something we've been looking at for a long time, for the new code.
  2. Since it's in the same subdomain, you can make that edit for placement in your author panel. Look here for instructions
  3. heh Good thing I'm going to over the thing then ain't it? LOL
  4. Anytime, thanks for the understanding.
  5. One would think that the mods deleting the things shortly after they're posted would clue 'em in, yes?
  6. Considering the volume she was looking at, story wise; it's quite likely she sent that to you by mistake. We've all done it. I'll be sure to note in the sheet that we work from that this is, in fact correct. So, if you'll delete the review, that would be helpful. Thanks
  7. Are you doing a conversion from Word or something like it to an html document you're uploading? That commonly causes it, as it'll leave open tags in the doc, which the php interpreter parses as an end of file, so anything BELOW the open tag will not appear.
  8. The only thing I can do at this point is to adjust the ratings themselves. There are some other functions, apparently, tied in to the ratings system. So, I have to figure out where to put 'em so they're called like they should be, so I can ultimately ELIMINATE the ratings system.
  9. Chances are, the ones in naruto which are simply placed in the wrong subcategory, I won't be getting to in the near future. Have tons of other stuff I'm moving at the moment.
  10. If you are HONESTLY searching for a story, post up a title for the story you're looking for. If you're looking to just "stir the pot", you can do THAT elsewhere, and not on this forum or archive. If you were looking for tech support, on how to use the search function, this is entirely the wrong place to begin such a post to begin with.
  11. I'll have to look at the code list and make a correction.
  12. You'll all notice they've been moved. I've opened up the rest of these forums for guest viewing as well. However, if your readers want to respond, they'll have to register. In future, please make no more postings of this nature in the resources forum. Thank you.
  13. What I've been doing, slowly, is gradually making it so it's by title, and not author.
  14. Did you have a specific title of Ms. Robert's you were wanting to write for?
  15. More like I was ultra busy, as usual and I forgot
  16. Looking at your little tag line there, that's what the "Promote a Story" forum is for. To promote your work, both when you add it new, and update it.
  17. In answer to your question, the right person to contact would be any one of the archive moderators, all of whom are forum members. As to the disclaimers themselves, the formula itself is very simple and easy to follow.
  18. OOPS, that was intended for animedevildog, sorry about that.
  19. I noticed that some of you would rather not go through having your readers sign up for the forum, which is fine, if that's your preference. Although, you're all missing out on a good tool for many things which the archive simply cannot do. Enough on that. Anyway, what I was thinking, is that I can open up the fandom forums for view ONLY to guest viewers. In order to respond, they will still be REQUIRED to register. Thoughts?

    Chat

Actually, that's a damn good idea. Email or pm me with details, or even find me in chat if you want so I can have a look at what all is involved. As you could tell by my earlier post, resources would be the problem in hosting a chat on the domain, because if it became busy? Way, way overloaded on the bandwidth end. This I know from when I had a chat installed on my own site. Thankfully, we're a small community, so I stayed within my bandwidth limits. What I'll need to look at and find out from you, is all the ins and outs of this, so to speak. Because, if it works out to where it's a truly free system, I'm sure I can integrate it.
  21. Something else to keep in mind, is that if you use characters for scene breaks, if it exceeds 75 continuous characters you get that gawdawful endless horizontal scrolling thing. So, you need to be sure it doesn't do that. Something ALL of you need to bear in mind, is that if you export in html format, you really do need to go back in a plain text editor and strip OUT the disallowed and extra html that the word processing programs always always ALWAYS insert. Granted, I say this from my perspective, as it is ME that goes in and cleans that mess UP. It doesn't necessarily hurt anything, other than make a file generally 3 to 4 times bigger than it needs to be. Which, with the database being an overgrown and bloated old bitch as it is, is not very good for it.
  22. Hey, did you ever come up with a weapon for me? I have on for Keith, and told ya I needed one for you, LOL
  23. THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK ARRRRRGH <--me beating my head in to a wall....
  24. You'd be surprised at how much time self maintenance saves me. I go in to the database directly to do all this stuff. Believe me, when I see it, I am very, very appreciative.
  25. What are you posting, and where are you posting them to? For example, if you're posting stories in the wrong subdomain, we delete them on sight. If you're posting fiction searches, requests, challenges and the like, THOSE get deleted on sight.
