  1. Ahahahah! See you've found the new arcade! :D

  2. On the missing end, if you know for certain they were here, and now they're suddenly not, chances are high it was because the stories were published here before the author was 18. If both author and stories are missing from the site, that's a near certainty.
  3. I can't speak to what I listen to for writing inspiration, as that's not my thing. But, I do have things I listen to for my art, depending on my mood, and what it is I'm doing. Hell, I even listen to stuff when I'm cleaning and whatnot to motivate me. For when I'm painting, I tend to stick to classical, as it's unobtrusive and doesn't distract me.
  4. I even double checked to make sure it wasn't something I did, rather than the author. No luck for you there. So I'd bet it's like you said, and she pulled it from everywhere to rework it.
  5. Doctor Who Monster Match Infinite - won't add score, black screens after game play. Castlevania - no instructions, returns you to forum main index, no score keeping. Logical Dominos - score does not submit
  6. Okay, for those of you who like to use it, if you could leave a comment to this topic should you run into issues with a particular game, that'd be great. What I'd need is the following- Name of Game - error Some of them are not keeping score (I think I have most of those moved already), and I'm sure there's a few that don't work. What'll happen then, is first I'll try and reinstall it, and then if that doesn't work, the game will be deleted until I can find a better download.
  7. Late add- The forum's arcade is now live. Until December 1, I've left it open to anyone who wants to give it a try. After that, you'll have to register to use it, if you like it.
  8. The other part which is a real problem, is where an author has removed work, or chooses to only post in one or two places, it's not fair to the author for others to simply pass around their work without permission.
  9. Glad to hear it hasn't soured you. There are many open beta requests here.
  10. As I'm not a writer, all I can tell you is what I do when I hit an artist's block. Which sucks just as bad, ya know. For me, the trigger to clear things, and make it so that I can once again be creative, is music. Even if all I do, is some practice sketching, like shapes and shading; the music in the background helps. Depending on what I'm going for in a drawing or painting, is what kind of music I'll choose for while I work.
  11. Work slowdowns SUCK. But, it means can get caught up on chores I suppose...

Since I'm home again today, I'm out in the yard. Raking leaves. Don't even have any damn trees.

  12. Categories work, except they don't sort right. Anyway, I've opened the arcade up for a limited time, to anyone who comes to the forum. Logged in or not.
  13. Your responsibilities as a beta are to PROOF READ. Not write the damn thing FOR her. You've gone well above and beyond any reasonable expectations. I agree. Lose the author. For that matter, post up in the beta forum here that you will, and see if you can get some authors to work with. Set out what you will and will not do, from the start.
  14. Unless the person who posts is the author who wrote it, it won't be posted here in response to your search request. Not only that, any posts to this topic with the data attached will be deleted.
  15. Resubmitting 'em if you have them stored is actually fine. As long content is not published to this archive before a user's 18th birthday, it doesn't matter when you wrote it. What matters is the date/time it's posted, here, in relation to your age.
  16. For your second part of your query. As you know where the author posts, that means you need to take the time to go there.
  17. Well, the welcome header to the archive does say that the skins are fubar'd in chrome and safari. They're working on it.
  18. We found information to confirm that you were under 18 when you joined the site. As such, all your pre-18 content is gone.
  19. QC=Quality Control Now, thing is, because we don't censor, and pretty well anything goes here, that means QC is not an option either. I agree with PW, I'd be running away, as fast as I could, if I had to do that too. Nope. No way in hell.
  20. Something else everyone seems to be losing sight of here, is that AFF doesn't QC. I think that's rather obvious, yes? So, because we don't QC, one cannot expect us to treat things in the same manner which a site which DOES that, will.
  21. I don't even even know where to start looking for that particular bit of code, honestly. I'm sure I could find it, but it'd take time. On top of that, there are enough changes in the scripting from the original Storyline, that it's hard saying which file this even LIVES in any more, if it even exists as a line of code. Without going through it all, I couldn't say. As to not getting in touch except via the review board, I honestly think that's a bit of laziness. Think about it. There's a contact page. There are NUMEROUS email addresses published to that contact page. If/when someone has an issue, they have any NUMBER of ways to get in touch with any moderator, me, or Apollo. We're none of us hard to find. For that matter, for me personally, I have so much contact information in my archive profile, it's not even funny. So, someone saying they can't contact me or any other mod except via a review in a review board is pure bullshit. The point is, every site has its own way of review handling. What works at Tth or FFN, or Mediaminer, won't necessarily work here. Again, without doing some reworking, of a rather massive variety it looks like; the reviewing system is going to stay as it is. I don't have the time to mess with it right now. Now, what would be workable in future, as an option, possibly, is leaving it to where the reviewer can delete his or review, a mod can delete any review if the need comes up for it. After all, there is a report button on the reviews too. So if there was a questionable review, a user simply has to click that button, and we look. That's really not so hard to do. Once again, this is something that I'm seriously doubtful will happen any time soon. There ain't 100 hours in a day, and 15 days in a week.
  22. Thing is, as I said before, I'm not interested in anything being added to my workload at the moment. Coding changes add to my work load. It's already tremendous.
  23. That and a few other games are not submitting scores. So what I've done, is moved them to a category entitled "NO Score Keeping". That way users know that high scores will not be submitted.
  24. Jeeezits- Here's the thing. If you dislike the site so damn much, why the HELL are you here? You choose not to listen to or consider what any one person has had to say in this entire topic. The only opinion that seems to matter to you, is yours. You just want to argue with people. Go do that elsewhere.
  25. Configuring the arcade, and adding games. Hoping to get a fix for the inability to add them to categories.

categories are fixed, and there are now 126 games for registered forum members. :D

    2. Shadowknight12

      Shadowknight12
