Actually your original image size was okay. A slight variance above or below won't make for ginormous images in the sig. Your edited image size is okay as well. For example, if you look at my sig, the image is short in height, but actually a bit long. But, it doesn't overwhelm the signature area. As we've both said, if you use common sense in constructing your siggy, it shouldn't be a problem. If it's too big, trust me, I or someone else will let you know.

I'll tell ya. This just points even more strongly as to why the beta should be picky, and set ground rules from the start. It also points to the fact that I was LUCKY in the authors who chose to work with me. I was upfront and honest with what I could do and was willing to do as a beta reader, they returned the favor in telling me what they needed from a beta in the first place. Knowing to say no to a prospective writer who's expectations of a beta reader is helpful as well. Just as it is helpful on the OTHER side, where the author knows to say no when the beta oversteps his or her bounds. A trial phase as pittwitch mentioned is helpful as well. Think about it. An author may not like your style in how you beta, and you may not like what you find with an author that you are beta reading for. What a test chapter does, is let the beta and the writer find out if they're going to be able to work together. In order for you to have a successful working relationship with each other, it's best you find this out right away.

A good rule of thumb, no more than 3 images. You can link your images to something (like a WIP). Try and keep the images no bigger than 300x300, so that it's not overly large and ends up making your siggy bigger than your posts.

On the missing end, if you know for certain they were here, and now they're suddenly not, chances are high it was because the stories were published here before the author was 18. If both author and stories are missing from the site, that's a near certainty.

I can't speak to what I listen to for writing inspiration, as that's not my thing. But, I do have things I listen to for my art, depending on my mood, and what it is I'm doing. Hell, I even listen to stuff when I'm cleaning and whatnot to motivate me. For when I'm painting, I tend to stick to classical, as it's unobtrusive and doesn't distract me.

Okay, for those of you who like to use it, if you could leave a comment to this topic should you run into issues with a particular game, that'd be great. What I'd need is the following- Name of Game - error Some of them are not keeping score (I think I have most of those moved already), and I'm sure there's a few that don't work. What'll happen then, is first I'll try and reinstall it, and then if that doesn't work, the game will be deleted until I can find a better download.

The other part which is a real problem, is where an author has removed work, or chooses to only post in one or two places, it's not fair to the author for others to simply pass around their work without permission.

As I'm not a writer, all I can tell you is what I do when I hit an artist's block. Which sucks just as bad, ya know. For me, the trigger to clear things, and make it so that I can once again be creative, is music. Even if all I do, is some practice sketching, like shapes and shading; the music in the background helps. Depending on what I'm going for in a drawing or painting, is what kind of music I'll choose for while I work.

Categories work, except they don't sort right. Anyway, I've opened the arcade up for a limited time, to anyone who comes to the forum. Logged in or not.

Your responsibilities as a beta are to PROOF READ. Not write the damn thing FOR her. You've gone well above and beyond any reasonable expectations. I agree. Lose the author. For that matter, post up in the beta forum here that you will, and see if you can get some authors to work with. Set out what you will and will not do, from the start.

Unless the person who posts is the author who wrote it, it won't be posted here in response to your search request. Not only that, any posts to this topic with the data attached will be deleted.

Resubmitting 'em if you have them stored is actually fine. As long content is not published to this archive before a user's 18th birthday, it doesn't matter when you wrote it. What matters is the date/time it's posted, here, in relation to your age.
