  1. Upgraded to 3.1.4, which fixed the bug referenced in earlier posts this topic. As always, if you find any glitches while using this software, please do report it in the tracker.
  2. The pictures are linked to in the original topic post, at the beginning. Right click the link for it, so that you can open in a separate tab and look at it while voting.
  3. An example in an older part of the archive, of where age is irrelevant, is the pairing of Giles/Ethan for BtVS. There are writing comms and some archives that are all about this particular pair.
  4. We actually get everybody on this. The name of the fandom is more appropriate than specific characters, as it covers the world, the characters, and settings. A character disclaim ONLY disclaims characters. We need something more inclusive. Regardless of it being in a specific subdomain, with the many, many titles throughout the archive, it is imperative you use the fandom NAME.
  5. This sort of posting is certainly not allowed. The stories in question I've deleted.
  6. Added here
  7. no, was just the way it was added. I can change it to series too, no big deal
  8. LOL, quite alright. The first time I ever posted something I kind of LOOKED at it, and had a wtf moment, until I logged out and rechecked. --test edit see if the rte works..
  9. First, when you add a story, there is an option you must say yes or no to. Which is "Allow other authors to add to story". You select no from that dropdown when adding the story, and it won't be there. If YOU are in the story, you will always see the "Add chapter to the story" link as you are the author. I spot checked your stories, and so far, the "add chapter to a story link" is not present for me, which tells me you selected no for the allow other authors to add part.
  10. Hi there Morwen, You need to register for the forum as it's a separate program from the archive.
  11. The avatar name was originally over 14 characters long, just for the file name. I very likely DELETED it. I routinely delete avatars which exceed the file name req at least every few days. I made some adjustments to the original image, reduced it slightly so it was less than 15K in size, and it is renamed choc_white_mage2.jpg. Already uploaded it, so have a look and see if you can find it.
  12. Added as Mercenaries (all) as there are several game versions
  13. Gotta get busy in the kitchen...much baking to do yet today!

  14. I think it's a combination of factors, ranging from what SK mentioned, to what AB mentioned. Personally, having been in bad relationships before, I never actually was willing to try and "fix" the jackass. I'd just get on with my life WITHOUT the problem person, and was much happier for it.
  15. Deleted the story, fixed the placement for the category
  16. you're welcome!
  17. It should appear in alpha/numeric order. But, the avatar gallery is disorganized, so if you don't find it, let me know and I'll get it straightened out for you.
  18. you need to be sure it's a .jpg or .gif. So, save it as either and try again. Let me know what happens.
  19. Avatars can be no more than 15k in size, and we prefer no bigger than 50x50 pixels in dimensions. If the file you're adding is bigger than 50k, it will not be added. Aside from that, as I routinely go through and delete files with filenames (not the extension of .jpg or whatever, but the name preceding the extension) that are over 14 characters in length. So, be sure that you name the file something that is 14 characters or less. File naming conventions do not allow for spaces with the avatar upload. If your file has spaces in the name, it won't upload.
  20. Yes, it's gone. The problem with saving the page from here, is that it's not an html page. It's a dynamic page generated by php. So when your computer goes to follow the link and execute the shortcut, it doesn't actually exist. This is why when you want to bookmark something, it's best to bookmark it in your browser itself.
  21. I don't recall seeing any futaWillow stories...anywhere. I've seen genderbenders with other characters though.
  22. Has to work today.

with work slowing down, any time I get more work, you bet.

  23. What we're saying to do, is where you copied the page to your virtual desktop, to delete it. By copying the page, what your machine does is make it so it paths to your c: drive, and THEN the web url. When it does that, browsers are looking for the physical data on your machine, rather than following the link. If you bookmark a link in your browser, that's entirely another thing, as what it does then is store the address in the browser so that you click the link and go to it. What I'm thinking happened, is that rather than save the SHORTCUT, you saved the PAGE. Had you saved the shortcut to your virtual desktop, it would work.
  24. gone now
  25. yes it's possible.... Why don't you guys start throwing in suggestions?
