I was able to delete a test story I created so I could make screenshots for the FAQs as I updated them. Earlier, that wasn’t working for me, but manta fixed it. We’re expecting to find a few things that need tweaking as we get back to business as usual, and of course we want to know if any member finds anything not working right. (And yes, I have more FAQs to update—I need a willing victim to let me use a story to illustrate how to recommend a story and add to one’s currently reading list. I’m not able to recommend my own stories or add them to my currently reading list, and I don’t want to just grab someone else’s story without asking nicely first. I know my WillowDarkling will let me play with a story, though. I just have to wait for our time schedule to sync again.)

First, I’m super glad to be able to post stories again! Second, *do* have a copy somewhere else, whether it’s USB or google drive, or even pen/paper.

You haven’t revalidated. I’ve emailed you new links and instructions on how to use them.

Well, I could say mine, but how about recommending all the halloween & holiday stories?

I’d have no problems with you recommending one of my stories or adding it to your reading list. I’m not sure anyone would. Of course, leaving the recommendation or reading list add in place instead of just toggling it would be nicer, but either way, just let me know. Thanks.

It does indeed look like there has been some updating on the stories! However, with the new layout, can’t really figure out where to go to post new chapters. If anyone has insight into this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, deletions should be working again. Give it a try, and if you can’t delete the stories, let me know and I’ll do it for you.

I’ve only gotten to a handful in the Story How-To section, and I did update the images in the FAQs I edited. It will take a while for us to get to them all. sadly. But we’ll persevere!

Story manager unlocked for posting new stories and chapters. (this is a test run so make sure you have backups of what you post.)

How do I edit or delete a chapter? The processes are very similar to adding a new story. Ensure you're logged in to the archive. Then navigate to the Story Manager in the desired archive. A new screen will load showing you all the stories you've uploaded to that category. Find the story that you wish to edit, and click the green EDIT link to the right: This brings you to the same screen as when you created the story. Scroll down, until you see the following: Clicking the EDIT link to the right of the already-posted chapter will let you edit that chapter. Remember to save your changes! Clicking the DELETE link to the right will delete that chapter. And clicking the red DELETE STORY link will delete the entire story. Please keep in mind that once a story is deleted, it is not recoverable. It is permanently removed from the archive, so please make sure you have a copy saved elsewhere. The + ADD CHAPTER link allows you to add another chapter to the story. The process is exactly the same as when you added the first chapter. You are brought to the editor screen: Title your chapter, add in the chapter text, and then click the link to SAVE CHAPTER.

How do I reply to reviews? So, you've written your magnum opus, uploaded it to the AFF archive and, lo and behold, you get a review! Fantastic! You'd like to thank them for their review, or perhaps to answer a question they've asked. How? Do you just leave a review to your own story? No, you don't. The review section of the archive is there solely for genuine reviews only. But there must be a way for you to reply? And There is! All you have to do is to click here to read the rules of how to set-up a review reply forum.
