    I will be very happy when July 31st gets here.  That’s when the extra $600 a week for unemployment finally expires.   That may sound horrible, but I’m on the opposite end of that.  I have worked through this entire thing, and the only applicants I’ve gotten for my critically short staffed store, have been applying for the unemployment requirement that they do so.  Have only had one day off since November 14th.  ONE.  Plus, I’m already on schedule for a minimum of 80 hours a week, and if anyone calls off, I get to cover it.  Because I don’t have enough staff.  So my average work week is more like 90 hours or better.  Awful damn tired of people working the system.

    As to the microsoft server issue, that should now be resolved. There was a particular function that needed to be done that I could not. Nexcess had to do it for me.

    I’m working 16+ hours a day right now. Next day after I got back, I worked 83 hours in 5 days. 95 hours the next 7 days. So, yeah, been a little busy. Looks like you logged in last on September 1st. You are using a gmail account for the archive.

    I’d have to ask manta2g exactly which hashing system she uses. Years ago, it was plain text. It hasn’t been for quite awhile.

    On an unrelated note, I’ve actually been working with the hosting company to fix the hotmail/outlook issues (where the emails just disappear that send to users). Everything thus far I’ve tried that SHOULD have worked, has not. So, they’re digging deeper and I should that have fixed soonish. When the old issue occurred, Nexcess was a major help at that time as well. They tracked down the IPs of the persons who did this, and blocked them from the domain entirely. They have tools at their disposal I don’t, so if something happens, they’re the ones I go to help stop whatever the issue is.

    I also get the webcam emails, and that cracks me up. I’ve NEVER had a webcam. I don’t WANT a webcam, and that they think they can scare me with webcam usage that never existed is just plain silly. Yes, this is an OLD issue, and these emails have been popping up ever since.

    Keep yer fingers crossed that we get staffing issues finally settled for where I work.  It has been BRUTAL.  Sixty hours worked since Saturday.  And I’m not done.

      Yep, get paid OT.  But, it would be NICE to be awake to enjoy it!  Ah well.  Going into my third hell week, and then things should be evening out a bit.

    I’ve been having an issue resetting it to allow them for users. The default, currently is to not allow them, due to trolls and spammers. I will TRY to get it to reset for you, and if it works, please let me know.

      Sounds like your yard’s a jungle.  It’d be a real shame if your phone somehow got “lost” in it for the next two days… I mean, you were simply unavailable if work decided to call.

    Yes, we’re working on tightening things up further. Understand something, we are not an eCommerce site, thankfully, so credit card numbers, banking information, personal identifiers such as social security numbers are not something we ever ask our users for. We don’t ever have a need to ask for that kind of critical information from a user. No announcements will be made until everything is finished. Kind of silly to do that if it takes awhile to get it done, yes?

    I’ve tried password reset on many different handlers, and not had this issue. I’ll have manta look at it, because maybe there’s something in the link that shouldn’t be for hotmail? Hard to say. I will say that it’s users with hotmail who do seem to have this difficulty, which brings it back to a hotmail specific issue.

    Are you using hotmail by chance? If so, you may have to whitelist the site for the function to work.

    What it means is that my user login was actually hacked. Got the https thing rolling now, just have to finish implementing it. That should help. I had the hosting company tech use the tools they have at their disposal to determine whether or not it was intrusive in that way, or only me. From what they saw, it was only me.

    Also told our hosting company which files were being used, and the time frame. They were able to trace down the user and BLOCK them entirely.

    It’s fixed. Apparently my account in the archive was hacked. The hacker then deleted me after setting him/herself up as admin, and did all this.

    I’ve not heard anything about an SQL injection. If there was one, the hosting company would have informed me of such. They’re very good about that, and do monitor

    Working on it, have the ssl certificate paid for (it has been for quite awhile). Just have to have the downtime from work to be able to get this rolling.

      Pay period is seven days, Wednesday to Tuesday.  So that 85+ hours was Thursday through Tuesday.  I also worked Wednesday for 13.5 and today for 10.5.  I THINK I’m off tomorrow, but I don’t know for sure yet

      7 days is 168 hours, max, so yeah, 100+ hrs/week, that’s some serious overloading which I normally don’t hear about apart from the game development industry!    And here I thought you’d have a vacation or something, you deserve it!

      I had a stretch with overtime like that and it was a killer, but the money was good. I hope you do get a quieter period coming up though after the pay period!

    Ugh.  Phase one of my VERY LONG WORK WEEK is done.  12 hours Wednesday, 14 hours Thursday, and 14.5 hours yesterday.

      Call ins should have a limit to them, not give anyone hours like that, with little chance to rest.
