    It's been a hell of a week. Mainly because of freezing cold and blackouts, but also because my laptop has been on the fritz. It's taking minutes to write these few sentences. Hopefully, a new battery will do the trick.

    Thanks for the comments, SWP1. I know some readers had been waiting a while for Stitch to DP his two girls, so I wanted to pay that off in a big way. The new Loud House story is titled “Record," and here's the summary: “Lynn Loud has an exciting new hobby, and it involves her brother Lincoln—whether he likes it or not.” I don’t have any Valentine’s Day stories to post today. I’ve only ever written one: “Some Girl," which I think you have already read.

I’m an agnostic myself, but I feel that if there is a God, they wouldn’t have made human reproductive behavior inherently sinful. Especially after saying “Be fruitful and multiply.”

    Somewhat to my own surprise, I finished drafting my one-shot Loud House story "Record" and sent it off to beta this morning. No other major progress to report. I’m off work on Monday, and the weather is supposed to be borderline-apocalyptic, so maybe I’ll get some writing done then.

    I ended up having more time than I expected this afternoon, so chapter 5 of “Biological Imperative” is now posted! Lilo and Nani discover what happens when they don’t give Stitch what they wants.

    Chapter 5 of “Biological Imperative” is drafted. I just need to give it the audio proof and then the eyeball-proof. I’ll probably post it tomorrow, if not tonight. Otherwise, I’ve really been bouncing around a lot among my other stories. I was stuck on chapter 9 of “Wishful” for a while because I was intimidated by the complexity of it, but now I realize that I was making it more complicated than I needed to, and I’ve made a little progress on it since then. Also got some good work done on my upcoming Star Vs and Big Hero 6 stories, chapter 8 of “Just One Rule,” and a one-shot Loud House story.

      It’s the bloody mimics I don’t like. Took me ages to realise one had replaced the beer compartment in the fridge. Every time I’d put beer in there it’d disappear and hit me with some magic to give me a bad headache.

    From Fairy-Slayer on January 25, 2021 I do love to escalate. Thank you! Writing "The Miss Cutie Patootie Pageant" gave me a lot of experience in describing dance performances in detail. The level of difficulty is slightly higher here because each performance involves two dancers instead of one, so I'm happy to know that it's working for you. That part was fun to write. I also liked that it gave me the chance to throw in a few more fandoms that I otherwise wouldn't have been sure how to include (Transformers especially). I suppose their "relentlessly cheery cheerleader versus gloomy Goth" interplay is a cartoon trope for a reason.:) Aw, dude. I guess I had that coming. If there are size queens, I guess there can be a size princess. Thanks for the alpha-ing, beta-ing, and review!

The Arcane have long-standing enemies who vary in culture and religion but who generally embrace the notion that the Arcane have no souls and that they are monsters that need to be wiped out. (The truth, however, is that the Arcane do have souls; they are simply much older than most souls.)

    I’ve been home with a cold all weekend, so I’ve been bingeing Kim Possible on Disney+. I have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a kid’s cartoon with a more overtly sexy main character. Not to mention that it has plenty of solid humor. No wonder this was so popular in the 2000s.

      Ah, right, I’d forgotten that Nixon managed to quit before the House could impeach him. That’s an even better argument for him being a better president than Trump. Frankly, if I had to choose between the two, I’d take Nixon in a heartbeat. But he’d have to bring Gerald Ford along, not Spiro Agnew (who was all too Trump-like himself).

      ...the only thing I can ever remember about Spiro Agnew is someone pointing out it is an anagram of “grow a penis”

    So, news: -- I’ve just send chapter 2 of CMDCS off to Fairy Slayer for beta part deux. -- In the past couple of days, I’ve made a ton of progress on story 4 of “The Power Arcane.” I expect to post it by Friday.

    Oh, no worries at all. I’m glad to have your review, regardless of the timing. I thought that would be a good way to start off the story before getting into all the exposition that comes after. Some time after I started writing this story, I watched a couple of Disney shorts called “Prep and Landing” about elves who prep houses for Santa’s visit. In one of them, there’s a girl who hacks Santa’s server to move herself from the Naughty List to the Nice List. That was Jomahawk’s idea. I originally had them kissing Rudy goodbye, but I liked his suggestion better. Thanks! That was a fun one to write. Yeah, everyone loves that part. I took that idea from Fairy Slayer, who presented it as a joke in his review of “The Ninth Reindeer.” I’m glad you liked that. That’s my favorite piece of dialogue in the story, and you’re the first reader to mention it. Check back next Christmas! I did indeed. Thank you! Absent any reviews or a trailer, I’m looking forward to that movie. So far, I’ve really enjoyed Warner Bros’ “Monsterverse” movies. Thank you! I hope to post that chapter this week. I’ll put it in my “Ideas” file and see if I’m inspired at some point. You too!

    Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people (mostly on TV shows) misusing the expression “Divide and conquer.” This phrase does NOT mean “Split up to tackle separate tasks.” It means “Separate your enemies from one another so you can more easily overpower them.”
