  1. The author has amended their archive pen name. Beauty in the Breakdown by Idontwanna (formerly phoenixdown7)
  2. Hi, Just to double check for myself, did you use the upper right fields to log into the archive? The center login fields only work once, at activation, and part of the process includes logging out and logging back in again using the upper right fields. I also recommend logging out of the archive, and then closing and restarting your browser before logging in again. Being logged in to the forum is not required to post to the archive, and in fact, you are still validating for forum membership. Please check your email for the activation link. Hopefully the browser restart will help to clear the issue. Please let us know if the issue persists, and we'll get it sorted out.
  3. Honestly, I don't know, She hasn't posted to the site in a while, which could mean that she's been tied up with real life issues. I've seen some members go that long, and longer, and then return to finish their stories, though.
  4. I've actually only met a very few people I know from online, and that's just good sense, to be honest. I just like to keep believing that my city is actually just a bunch of small towns stuck together.
  5. Magusfang is being silly again. We tease each other a lot, and it's all done in good fun. In reality, we are all actually in different places. Although magusfang was actually HERE and we didn't see each other. 8 million people, give or take. It's easy to miss just one.
  6. The arrow key won't bring up a dropdown menu. You can't get that again, once you've posted the story. You use the arrow keys to move the cursor along the text in the Summary field. like scrolling sideways with an arrow key rather than a mouse. As you move past the summary that you wrote, you'll see the tags. Deleting tags won't get the dropdown back. You have to actually type in the new tag yourself. The alternative is to add any missing tags in a line at the top of the first chapter. Call it something like "Additional Warnings" and we'll count that as proper tagging. It also won't count toward the author's note word limit of 600 words.
  7. I'm cooking. With any luck, I won't get another phone call which will make me want to avoid holidays for the rest of my life, while my hand is shoved up a turkey's ass.
  8. We're a very unstuffy bunch here, to be honest. And while I'm an archive mod, I'm also an author on the site, so I really do get it from both perspectives. I see my role as a mod as helping members figure out the site, and explaining what we require, more than being a disciplinarian.
  9. I remember when I was growing up that the stores put out Halloween stuff in mid October. After Halloween, they marketed Thanksgiving, with cards, pretty serving dishes, hostess gifts, table linens. It was pretty neat. After Thanksgiving, the Christmas stuff went up. There was no two-month ramp-up to a holiday that's become largely secular, after starting out as a perversion of a very sacred time of year for those of us who celebrate things a lot older than Christmas. Let's put the Mithras back in December, folks, and bring back the Solstice vigil, and the Yule log.
  10. Lisa, you are just a very dedicated reader!
  11. I've sent you an email to the address we have on record for your account. If you don't receive our email, please let us know.
