Got an outline to a possible Halloween story, might contribute this year.

Yeah, it looks like Jayrich has been posting here as recently as December 2020. I see that he wrote a Glitch Techs fic, which I’ll have to check out. I might ask Nurse Katie about her story.

The original author of the story, be it fan fiction or an original work, owns the story. It is their intellectual property, and as such, we will protect their rights to their hard work. Let me put it in terms that might actually get through: I don’t own “A Song of Fire and Ice” and even though it’s been YEARS since George RR Martin wrote Book 5, and many of us are desperate for Book 6, George RR Martin isn’t going to take kindly to my writing Book 6 for him. (He did allow HBO to abuse his universe, however, which just goes to show that no sane author should ever let anyone else write their story for them. Season 8? Really? Talk about lazy writing...) So, the answer to your question is: you don’t get permission if Praetor doesn’t grant it.

Then you don’t do it. Nevermind the author has a life outside of writing and is doing this for free as a hobby.

I just sifted through my saved files but found only incomplete drafts of Jayrich's & Nurse Katie's submissions. Sadly it was the collapse of WWOEC that made me more careful about saving copies of everything I participated in or reviewed. Nurse Katie is still somewhat active on Palcomix and may be willing to share. As for Jayrich, unfortunately, he hasn't made an appearance in years. I do have an old e-mail address for him that I can try if either of you would like. EDIT: Oh, Jayrich has an account here too, but I can’t find it there. (According to my old notes the story he was working on was never finished. )
