  1. WIP are just that, WIP. Slight tweak to repair guy, I just realized that Konnor’s parents are already dead as of this story, so several lines of already-posted dialogue in chapters 2/3 have been updated to reflect this. Good thing I’ve got that database to keep track of this...shrugs.
  2. That seems to be how it is for me at times, climb into bed, and suddenly, my mind’s racing. I’ll get up, write it down (because it just came up with a good idea), climb back into bed, only to come up with another idea…. Or, wake up early, mind’s racing, so I can’t get myself to go back to bed. I do try carrying a notebook around, just to jot down ideas when they do come.
  3. Mine requires tickling, though a good nude pic or two helps
  4. In the end, that’s a good reason, better than money (for those lucky few).
  5. Chapter 7 is up.
  6. Doing a Halloween story?
  7. Its a weekend, will there be any new Halloween tales?
  8. I went through a number of attempts myself, before I settled on the one I did write. Some even had more naughty priests than this one did.
  9. Found myself having to reread a couple of sections, maybe I was reading too fast. Aw, so I made it too scary? Thanks for the praise
  10. Chapter 6 is up. Seven either tomorrow or Sunday (most likely), depends on my progress this weekend.
  11. I felt a bit cheated, with the movies, I mean, with the Hobbit at three, then certainly the LoTR could’ve been six, or even nine! Imagine, the scouring of the shire, a nice little short story by itself, could’ve made it in.
  12. Hmmm… maybe we ought to start up a Mary Sue fan club, lure them into a trap….
  13. Thanks, I like putting spins onto classics at times. And this is about the limit I put onto clothing description: “A man wearing black leather pants, a black leather jacket, with a natural leather button up shirt and a red leather tie.” In this case, I’m trying to portray the image of a man not to be trifled with. I haven’t ran across many Mary Sues, but I’ve heard enough to get a feel of what to avoid in my own stories. Even in original fiction, the same things hint at an underdeveloped/under thought character – for a main character.
  14. I kinda prefer my characters to be undressed… but that’s me. And, if it takes multiple paragraphs, that’s fine I did write one scene, though, where it was a couple doing a reverse strip tease, getting dressed from nakedness, but that was more about how they didn’t really want to get dressed.
  15. Afraid those 2-5 pages can’t be helped when you go reading the fashion catalog.
  16. I wonder what a “razor clam death test” is all about?

  17. I consider the term to be generic, for the under-developed and/or overly-powered (perhaps self-inserted) character. It’s easy to accidentally do, to have a flawless character, if the author isn’t paying attention. Other times, it might be deliberate, especially when it comes to a super hero.
  18. Have to admit I was wondering about the sudden surge in comments on years old topics, but I’m guessing the debate still rages today, and it’s every bit as relevant. A web comic about Sue: http://interrobangstudios.com/comics-display.php?strip_id=989 I try to avoid Sues myself (maybe name a non-sue OC as Sue….?) However, if Sue is what floats a particular author, gets ‘em writing, gives them experience to then go back and judge, that’s okay too, because we all have to start somewhere and we’ll all make mistakes (unless the byline is Mary Sue...she’ll get it perfect the first time).
