It’s how I got started writing, I was impatient for this (fifth year pre-OotP) fanfic to update (the author was starting to slow down in the typical down-spiral-of-disinterest), so I started writing my own story incorporating some of her elements into it, before writing its sequel – that’s in violation of AFF rules, so I can’t bring them here without trying to find that author fourteen years later. In looking back, the elements essentially were several character names, who the DADA instructor was, and that Mrs. Weasley was pregnant with another child. I could alter the names for those characters, Mrs. Weasley’s new child was effectively irrelevant, and Lupin isn’t terribly original to return as a DADA instructor; but its more effort than I want to spend, so I’ll leave it on FF.net. (Even got low story IDs….) Heck, if I went back and rewrote that first one, it’d lose the charm of it being my first fanfic, rough, and all.

Oh, I’ve got “dirty” versions of what I did post over there…. but, those FF.net stories violate AFF TOS, so I can’t bring them over. I could rework the two stories, remove the offending elements, but that’s time that’d take away from my original works here.

The Airwolf Theme (extended on endless loop)…. sometimes it just helps me focus.

All of the things I’ve posted to AFF are in the same universe, “Star Rebels” was the original name for it, but since that’s every story, I’ve dropping that part from the titles (figuring it was redundant and there’s a length limit to titles).

Thanks. My last update, I think, was five years ago. I do intend to finish it, but alas, I find my original universe to be more captivating to my attention span.

Revision warning to Dolbourne Chronicles. On/About Nov 5th, I anticipate the removal of the first two episodes (Wedding/In-Utero) as this content has been expanded and iis being spun off into its own story, “The Repair Guy”

Review for Dale’s Game Thank you for the reviews, reviews are gold English/grammar were never my favorite subjects in school. (No, it wasn’t “huk’d n fonix!”) Rather than fussing too much over it, I go ahead and post, get feedback, which is way better than overdoing it. (And even when I proof and revise, proof, and revise, it can get worse, not better) I loved using games to portray some of the sentiment in the society, and it’ll be one of things I’ll miss when working on other stories.

That’s a pat on the author’s back, a payday for them, to help make the effort to bring a story to life, to post it, to make all that effort a bit more worthwhile. If I were getting hundreds of reviews, I might be more picky about their quality, but right now, unless it’s pure hatred/flame, I cheer any review that comes into my inbox, useful or not. Because, when you’re stuck, a “this is awesome” can help motivate your muse to get back on the wagon.
