I've no doubt Elrond will try to remain sensible, but he'll find that quite difficult to maintain. It will be fun when Oropher joins in. I imagine that Elrond will do absolutely anything to ensure the Mirkwood Three don't start on each other in this way, which would keep him rather busy. And by the end of it, completely insensible. And thoroughly... exhausted. Forever and ever. lol I keep having this amusing little vision of him finally managing to escape The Bedroom at some point well into the fourth age, almost crawling, and people outside greeting him like: “Elrond! You are here. I didn't know you'd made it!”

Bronx, thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I am a bit caught on this Thranduil/Legolas stuff, I must admit. And, when I have time, I may plan out a fic just for them away from the Teacherverse. It's kind of irresistible, and I don't know why either. I'm sure it's not just because they're all pretty. Unless I am far more shallow than I tell myself. That is of course possible too, lol When Oropher joins the fun, it will be spectacular. You can well imagine I've been busy testing out bits and pieces of it, seeing how he fits with them all... I've written many threesomes, it's kind of interesting to have four characters' drives and motivations and mannerisms to play with.

I might have to write some Oropher/Thranduil at some point. Try them out, even if it's *gasp* gen fic (sorry for swearing). They have a lot of love for each other. I adore writing the elves this way, all tangled and never truly mean-spirited. Even if Tolkien would hate it. It's a utopia. With lots of sex.

Thank you, CL Poor Maglor, indeed. But when I write these two, there's always that something between them, where they almost meet. They're addicted to each other, and it's never quite enough, always just a half step short of satisfaction. That's how it feels to write. Maybe I will stop trying to save you from 'Fallen' then. Or maybe I will try to save you, and write something much more light-hearted and pretty for you to read before bed. I have a piano lesson today, but I'll see what I can manage with the remaining time.

It was heavy... but not for the scenes you might think. Torture scene, ok... the healing afterwards, that had me reticent for days.

ME: “I won't write that.” SAURON-MUSE: “Oh, yes, you will.” Maglor. I feel terribly guilty for causing him so much anguish, but they just do work. Somehow they work together. He'll forever be with Sauron in my imagination, poor sod. It's no place to live. Though this time when I lock the box on that particular muse I may well throw away the key. I'm glad I managed to make it readable. It really never starts off readable.

Oh, thank you so much, Bronx! I think Thranduil and Legolas are certain to have that talk at last, though whether we will get to see it, I don't know. I suspect Elrond will respect their privacy. As for taking Thranduil to the edge, I think he does need that, and Elrond is aware of it. I only hope I can write the scene the way it needs to be written. It's important for more than what has transpired here.

Thank you, CL! Thranduil/Legolas is a thing that (almost) everyone loves. They're both so pretty! If you want that kind of sandwich, I'm working on a chapter of the main fic you'll probably like, though it's only heavy hinting. Character development takes precedence, I'm afraid. Having said that, I am tending to dedicate these missing bits to people. One will appear for you in the not-too-distant future.

As I think further and further ahead to the end of this story, the characters are really trying to make me leave them all in some incestuous, quivering heap of limbs with Elrond still weakly protesting somewhere in the middle of it all. I still have it strongly in mind not to, but I may end up writing many more of these missing scenes in order to achieve it. Ha! If Elrond even vaguely suspected this was on the cards he'd be on his knees like a sacrifice, promising Thranduil anything he wants! If only Thranduil knew... *laughs* So glad you liked it. I feel quite satisfied to have written it. They are so beautiful together, and I'm happy I managed to take them down adequately.

I just can't help writing them, even though they don't really belong in the main story. I blame the characters... they are all thinking about it, all the time. Elrond is worried about it, but he's still thinking it all the same.

Oh, I understand about the cigarette! I was just teasing, and thought it was a nice touch, actually. I've done shiftwork; it was very fitting. Also, I can read pretty much anything. Unless you add a minor1 tag, which isn't likely, I'll be with you to the end on this. *nods* Go ahead and scare me! I look forward to it.
