So, lately I've been wondering just how bad things could get for Elrond in Valinor... maybe it would be something like this. Ambushed! Just so you know, this is nearly five thousand words of sheer elf porn. No redeeming features whatsoever. Have fun!

Of course he can try to shove it down the back of his mind, but since it seems he is going to use that place, Julien will be present (even in death). Every little thing he's thought of will bring him to mind as Kamal discovers them. What a nice thought! To be haunted like that. Kamal has trouble ahead, and I will love seeing him try to deal with it all.

Thank you, CL I'm very glad it worked for you. There didn't seem much point in dwelling on the purely painful physical aspects of this. The meaning behind it was more important. Description only makes it in when it makes a point. I decided in the end to mute it quite a lot, and let the contrast of the charged scene afterwards carry all the weight of what has passed between them. Like Elrond does at the end, I will count it as a success! Thank you. Some comedy will be making an appearance soon... if that makes it in. I hope it does.

Thank you so much, Bronx! I am so glad to hear it came across well: Elrond's reluctance and Thranduil's vulnerability. I'm very happy I didn't weaken Thranduil's character while showing it. Yes, it was healing. Whatever depression Thranduil was sinking into, Elrond has pulled him right out of it. But they need each other, and I really like that about them. They're very equal right now, despite all of the games, and despite this heavier scene. It's been a long time coming. Again, thank you! *is pleased as punch*

Stop reading what you're reading. Find the worst badfic you can in a fandom you know well. Where your favourite is acting so incredibly out of character that it makes you cringe. In my experience, that will wake up the muse. And you'll be stuck with it on and off forever. In fact, you'll never feel completely right again unless it's talking to you, loudly, in a number of different guises.

I did vote on this. I think Giles would save Buffy. He's still very much a Watcher in these seasons, and his care of the slayer comes first, regardless of whatever his emotions may be. He takes duty very seriously. He would save Buffy. He might go on to regret it. After all, there is always another slayer, while there isn't another Willow. But... I still don't see him letting his slayer fall.

I've no doubt Elrond will try to remain sensible, but he'll find that quite difficult to maintain. It will be fun when Oropher joins in. I imagine that Elrond will do absolutely anything to ensure the Mirkwood Three don't start on each other in this way, which would keep him rather busy. And by the end of it, completely insensible. And thoroughly... exhausted. Forever and ever. lol I keep having this amusing little vision of him finally managing to escape The Bedroom at some point well into the fourth age, almost crawling, and people outside greeting him like: “Elrond! You are here. I didn't know you'd made it!”

Bronx, thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I am a bit caught on this Thranduil/Legolas stuff, I must admit. And, when I have time, I may plan out a fic just for them away from the Teacherverse. It's kind of irresistible, and I don't know why either. I'm sure it's not just because they're all pretty. Unless I am far more shallow than I tell myself. That is of course possible too, lol When Oropher joins the fun, it will be spectacular. You can well imagine I've been busy testing out bits and pieces of it, seeing how he fits with them all... I've written many threesomes, it's kind of interesting to have four characters' drives and motivations and mannerisms to play with.

I might have to write some Oropher/Thranduil at some point. Try them out, even if it's *gasp* gen fic (sorry for swearing). They have a lot of love for each other. I adore writing the elves this way, all tangled and never truly mean-spirited. Even if Tolkien would hate it. It's a utopia. With lots of sex.

Thank you, CL Poor Maglor, indeed. But when I write these two, there's always that something between them, where they almost meet. They're addicted to each other, and it's never quite enough, always just a half step short of satisfaction. That's how it feels to write. Maybe I will stop trying to save you from 'Fallen' then. Or maybe I will try to save you, and write something much more light-hearted and pretty for you to read before bed. I have a piano lesson today, but I'll see what I can manage with the remaining time.

It was heavy... but not for the scenes you might think. Torture scene, ok... the healing afterwards, that had me reticent for days.

ME: “I won't write that.” SAURON-MUSE: “Oh, yes, you will.” Maglor. I feel terribly guilty for causing him so much anguish, but they just do work. Somehow they work together. He'll forever be with Sauron in my imagination, poor sod. It's no place to live. Though this time when I lock the box on that particular muse I may well throw away the key. I'm glad I managed to make it readable. It really never starts off readable.

Oh, thank you so much, Bronx! I think Thranduil and Legolas are certain to have that talk at last, though whether we will get to see it, I don't know. I suspect Elrond will respect their privacy. As for taking Thranduil to the edge, I think he does need that, and Elrond is aware of it. I only hope I can write the scene the way it needs to be written. It's important for more than what has transpired here.

If you want that kind of sandwich, I'm working on a chapter of the main fic you'll probably like, though it's only heavy hinting. Character development takes precedence, I'm afraid. Having said that, I am tending to dedicate these missing bits to people. One will appear for you in the not-too-distant future.
