Thank you! Honestly, writing South Park fanfic doesn’t really appeal to me, for 2 reasons: --The characters are all basically paper cutouts and don’t really do anything for me sexually. --As you sort of point out, much of what I could do in that world is already canon. (This is also why I don’t write Big Mouth fanfic.)

So, I find myself writing a story that’s unusual in a couple of ways: It’s a fanfic of Disney’s new animated series, Kiff, only 6 episodes of which are currently available on Disney+. I usually wait until a show is farther into its run before I start writing fanfics about it. There’s no sex. Just lots of cuddling. Although it turns out there’s kind of an awful reason for the cuddling. Anyhoo, the story is called “The Snuggle Bug,” and I expect to post it some time this month.

Yeah, but someone might write a fanfic of one of those stories to give them a less dark turn. I wrote a couple of nasty original stories called “Darla” and “Darla’s Dad,” and another writer asked me if she could write a third story that would give Darla a happier ending. I said yes, and she wrote a pretty decent sequel.

My (admittedly limited) experience to date suggests that AI writing programs don't actually write anything: They grab pieces of text from various sources and meld them together into one. If that's how all AI writing programs work, than any text they "write" will necessarily be plagiarized.

The new chapter of “Out of Hand” is posted! Chapter 5: Funny You Should Ask

This is easy for me to say, but I would suggest putting aside the question of character popularity and ordering the chapters in whatever way will make the most sense for the story as a whole. Readers are willing to forgive a lot of things if you give them a story that really holds their attention, and telling the story in a way that makes sense to them will help with that.

If I’m not entirely sure about which way to go with a story I’m working on, I ask for suggestions from one (or occasionally two) of my fellow writers. If the story is a fanfic, then I approach someone who is familiar with that fandom. For example, I’ve been having a PM dialogue with GrayNeko about a Big Hero 6 story I’m doing preliminary work on. I’ve asked him for suggestions about the science-y aspects of the plot, bounced ideas off him regarding including music in the story, and kicked around thoughts about the title. He’s been a big help.

So, I have good news and good news: I just posted my new original oneshot, “The Worst.” Summary: Twelve-year-old Polly brings her little sister, Kimmy, to the beach for some fun. FairySlayer wrote a wonderful Gravity Falls fic titled “The Secrets of My Sis” that had an Ancient-Egyptian theme. I didn’t realize until he told me afterward that the title was a reference to the 1970s kids show The Secrets of Isis (which I used to watch on Saturday mornings along with the Shazam! series it was paired with).

So, a few bits of news: --I hope to have chapter 5 of “Out of Hand” off to beta this week. --I’ve started mulling ideas and outlining a sequel to my Big Hero 6 story, “Augmented.” Like the upcoming movie Twisters, this is a sequel no one asked for , but I just like the idea and am going for it nonetheless. --I have nearly finished an original short story, which I expect to post this week. It’s called “The Worst,” and it’s about a 12-year-old girl who likes to take her younger sister to an isolated beach where boys can take advantage of her. Yes, it’s one of my sick ones. --Even though only a few episodes of the new Disney toon Kiff have come out so far, I already have an idea for a fic that I want to write--a non-porny one, believe it or not.

In this story, I was kind of trying to turn the prostitute/john trope on its head by (a) making the man the prostitute and (b) making their interaction respectful instead of degrading. I’m glad you liked the result. Re: "Wild Side" Thanks! This started as a simple one-shot story but, as you’ve seen, it grew into a lot more because I became so fond of the characters. Re: "Everything She Needs" Thank you! Re: "Make It All Better" Thanks! This story was meant to be a character study in addition to being pornographic. I really enjoyed showing the contrast between Dad and Angela’s very normal life together versus Daddy and Angie’s wild one. I felt that the story needed a twist at the end, and Gloria knowing about everything her husband and daughter had been doing seemed like the perfect thing. It also gave credence to Dad/Daddy’s statement at the beginning that his wild sex life with Angie was not about hurting Gloria. Re: "Leilaya's Evening" I’m glad. First off, I also like this new feature of being able to see that people have recommended their story. And yes, I’d be glad to be able to see who recommended my stories. But I think readers would like that, too, because if they can see who recommended a story they like, they can look and see what other stories that reader recommends. Just throwing that out there. I’ll understand if there are reasons why it’s technically difficult or inadvisable security-wise.
