  1. I write for a very few fandoms myself, based on what interests me, but I do read outside those fandoms. There are just those few that I will not ever seek out when I have time to read for pleasure. Of course, I also avoid certain tags, but that’s not the question here.
  2. I’m not seeing anything in the database for that email address. Is there another email address you might have used?
  3. Good question! I’m not a fan of anime in general, but I have to say, I avoid Naruto like the plague itself. I’m also deeply and profoundly disturbed by real person fiction as a whole, and I will never read it for enjoyment, much less write it.
  4. I’ve emailed you the links to activate your account and reset your password. Please follow the instructions in the email, and it should work.
  5. It’s my pleasure! Glad it worked!
  6. I’ll send fresh links. Even if the activation says it’s not failed, go ahead and do the password reset, and it should work. They’re designed to be done together.
  7. The link didn’t time out, and it most likely wasn’t invalid. Try the password reset and see if that works. It’s a funky glitch in the code that generates the fail message even when the activation works.
  8. Hi! There are a couple of things going on, so let me work through them. When the site was attacked, we did go to read-only mode for a lot longer than we’d hoped. But, during that unpanned hiatus, we did a couple of things. We rolled out the new archive code, and we consolidated multiple accounts linked to the same email address. The older versions of the archive code allowed for that, but the newer versions ill not allow more than one account per email address. As part of that, we were instructed to merge the multiple accounts, with the oldest existing account being the one all data was moved to. It’s likely that is why your pen name changed. When we were ready to go live again, we sent out emails to all our members with links to reactivate their accounts under the new archive code. However, some email clients decided our mass emailing was actually spam, and either refused to deliver the emails or consigned them to some digital limbo. And yes, there are still a few issues with the new code that need to be worked out, including the password reset link for members who have already reactivated their accounts. We’re aware of those issues, and @manta2g is working on them. In the meantime, looking at your account, you have not yet reactivated. I’m emailing you links which will allow you to reactivate and reset your password.
  9. I’ve emailed you the links that should get you registered. Just follow the instructions in the email, and it should be fine.
  10. I’ve emailed you fresh links. Just follow the instructions in the email and you should be able to complete registration and have access to the account.
  11. If you can give me the pen name you created for the account, I can resend the links to you.
  12. I’ve emailed you the activation and password reset links that will get you back into your account.
  13. @neo4812, I’ve emailed you the links needed to reactivate your original account.
  14. Do you have any stories to add? We only make new categories when there are stories to be placed in that category.
  15. I’ve sent you the links that should work. It might say that your validation didn’t work, but the link will work, I promise!
  16. I do believe we had a function for a ruled break in the Rich Text Editor, but some of the RTE functions have disappeared since we rolled over to the new archive Portal 3.0. Unfortunately, this seems to be one of them. I’ve been able to carry over ruled breaks from Word, or Google Docs in the past, however. Copy/Paste is my friend...
  17. I remember nylons. Not fondly, mind you, but I do remember them.
  18. I’ve emailed you new links which should work. Let me know if you don’t get the email.
  19. I’ll send you working links via email.
  20. Here you go! https://cartoon.adult-fanfiction.org/index.php?cat=2082
  21. We’re out of read-only mode, but without your pen name or account url, I’m unable to see if you’ve reactivated the account. If you could supply either of those, I’d be happy to check and send you reactivation links if necessary. (I did check Tickler1991 as a pen name and nothing came up.)
  22. We can certainly help you retrieve your old account. If you can email me at tos_team@adult-fanfiction.org with the pen name, old email address, and the new email address you want to use, I can update the database with the new email address and then send you the links to reactivate your account.
  23. I made 14 years as of October 2023.
  24. By default, AFF creates a cookie every time you log in, if there isn’t one already stored. Perhaps not allowing cookies is the root of the problem? Our cookies aren’t trackers, but in the archive, they are created when you attest to being over 18, if I’m remembering correctly. (Not being a coder, I remain cheerfully mystified by the details...)
  25. Okay, I’m just going to toss this out there, but have you cleared your browsing history and cache? And perhaps also the AFF cookies? Our cookies will reinstall when you visit the site, so that’s no problem, but sometimes cookie strings get corrupted, and browser history can store older versions of the site which might create display issues.
