Happy endings (literally or figuratively) or tragic endings?
Deadman and one other reacted to pippychick for a topic
Tragic endings with a hint of nightmare and a dash of infinity. Wow I’ve written like three of them, just like that. Damn.2 points -
Multiple orgasms or lots of build up?
Melrick and one other reacted to pippychick for a topic
I think it depends whether you’re reading straight up porn or erotica, since erotic writing is more character driven, and that tends to be what I want from my fanfiction, when I consume it. In any case it’s extremely rare to see multiple orgasms written well, but that’s just my opinion. I’m not sure you’re asking the right question. If I’m answering this as a reader, and you’re the author, I’m countering with: how did you hook me into your story? Was it the promise of porn/sexual gratification, or something more? Did you make me curious about the consequences/aftermath or make me want more? Because those things are the job of the author. If you hook me right, I will read it.2 points -

Concur with @BronxWench Most definitely think of Star Trek. So, no @Wilde_Guess I don’t think it’s something that gets flushed down the Captain’s head.2 points -

Multiple orgasms or lots of build up?
pippychick reacted to Deadman for a topic
Well in the context of the question, I’m mostly speaking of stories that would be posted here on this site. Which would be more close to straight up porn. I haven’t encountered too many stories on this site that have a lot of build up. Usually sex happens in multiple chapters, but often they are different sexual situations. But I’ve thought about my own writing where a female character is having sex with multiple partners. Partly I was wondering in terms of sexual performance. Most men get really tired after a single orgasm, but it usually takes a while to recover. So is it that way with women? Haven’t had the opportunity to actually test the theory in reality, but it wouldn’t make sense if a woman has the capacity to have multiple orgasms that you would get tired after the first one.1 point -

Curious how you define “dash of infinity”. As in the horrible ending goes on forever?1 point -

To be fair, Kirk did start the whole boldly going where no man has gone before thing and Spock is likely keeping the ship logs professional. Nevermind the enterprise would be hook up and fling central for everybody aboard the mini city flying through space.1 point -
Title Help
GeorgeGlass reacted to Wilde_Guess for a topic
Hi, GeorgeGlass. By itself, no. While the spaceships from the Star Trek universe keep Captain’s and Ship’s Logs, other ships of notable size also keep Ship’s Logs, and the ship’s Captain might also keep a “Captain’s Log” or journal/diary of personal observations he or she doesn’t wish to keep in the main ship’s log. Seeing the erotica/pornographic bent of this site, I would also assume that the “Captain” just might be well-endowed (or tragically not endowed,) and was (at least trying) to get “busy.” Cheers!1 point -

From Thundercloud on July 01, 2023 Cool story with a good mystery build up as the lead persons work on solving their situation. My only complaint would be that the first (and currently only) chapter ends with fade to black when things-are-just-to-revealed situation so I cannot tell if this is good or excellent. Keep the good work! Next chapter is nearly ready. Trying to find that sweet spot of not too much and not enough is rather intricate isnt it? The party is just starting!1 point -

Happy endings (literally or figuratively) or tragic endings?
BronxWench reacted to InvidiaRed for a topic
It depends on genre mostly. I like endings where the character breaks even or if they’re doomed they at least helped turned the tide in some small manner even if its just that they gave hope no matter how small or fling a light into a darkened future. Hope is fickle like that but like a stubborn ember hope is so very resilient just when you think you’ve snuffed it out. Some stories there can be no happy ending. Like in dark settings. That said, I hate tragic endings and try to avoid them even if the characters themselves don’t see it. ( I think that might be part of reading so much greek tragedies in high-school)1 point
