  1. Wooooh! I finished a short story! It was meant to be my entry for the AFF Halloween thingy, but it ended up running a little long. Of course it’s not out of the wordcount limit or even close to it, 7.5k is too long for me so either I’ll suck it up and put it in the anthology as is, or if I manage to write another entry, I’ll split this one into a two-parter and post it normally. Eeeee I’m just happy I finally finished something! Yay!

  2. When I was into fanfiction, I went by Chlover. But then drama happened and I had to leave that persona and fan fiction in general behind real quick so CloverReef was born. But lately that penname has been feeling a little too feminine for me, so I became a plague. Everybody likes plagues, right? But now, since all I write is erotic original fiction, it’s the same on every site.

  3. Ooh! I used Kizurial for fanfiction.net because all the variations of JayDee that I could be bothered trying, like three of them, were already taken. Yes, I have written fanfiction that was acceptable to FF.net’s guidelines. Took me a while though.

  4. And modern battle kit can be upwards of 80 lbs as well, yet women still wear it. I’ve worn it (Canada has had female infantry since 1989). Let’s not go down that particular route if you actually want to discuss female warriors. Also you’ve been vague on the time period you want to heavily draw from. The “standard plate armour” you spear of wasn’t in use until the later medieval ages as well, yet you were mentioned Spartans and Amazons, who wore much less. “Pre-gunpowder” is a massive stretch of time. Thousands of years. There’s also images and accounts of women wearing chain and plate armour(Joan of Arc is the biggest and most famous one). So… while maybe not many women may be the same kind of warrior, that can also depend on a society and how much they expect their women to be battle fit. So, we can actually have a discussion about female warrior types in a world that clearly isn’t entirely historically accurate. Or we can used tired old arguments that people use to try and convince others that women shouldn’t be able to get into Combat Arms trades in the modern military…

  6. BronxWench was my gamer name for ages, and I kept it as my name over on FFN. Because I am seriously creative, it’s also my pen name everywhere else, except fro what I publish. Then I turn into Morwen Navarre. Honestly, I sometimes don’t answer to my real name…

  7. If you’d done a co-authored fic with a Dragon Albus, you could have put it out as DVDA.

  8. I’ve got a total of two pen names, the one here, and “Dragon Voldemort” for my Harry Potter fanfics. (I made the DV one first, but once I started writing originals, it no longer fit). Yep, I’m on FF.net and AO3 with the DV penname.
