you're absolutely correct in that the tags need updated. We do have that on our to do list, which is HUGE by the way. Gotta remember there's really only two people (manta2g and I) who are doing that part of the work. So, with manta2g concentrating on the new software, and me on the cleanup, it's just sitting there in the ever growing "honey do" list. ugh. Y'know, even if you're unable to donate, PLEASE do read the site news. It contains important things such as the newly revised Terms of Service, the cleanup project, and a host of other information. The challenges/requests, searches and all that were eliminated to make the database itself a bit more manageable and begin stabilizing it. The archive database is 6.1GB at present. Believe it or not, when all that was done a few months ago, that actually DROPPED it from 6.7GB to 5.9GB at the time. Of course, new story additions and new chapters and whatnot will make the database grow more. . At the time I started this whole cleanup project and whatnot, the database itself was VERY unstable. Which is also why the entire archive is in a bit of a state of flux. That will change, of course, as we proceed and complete the sorting, moving, creating new sub subs as necessary, and everything else that needs done.

Looked at the review boards for both stories, to see what was referenced. In the one, this user simply pointed out pregnancy facts, and it appears the author had no problem with it. In the other, the criticism was harsh, but not technically a flame. At least, this is what I found by looking for reviews made while the user was logged in. If you have links to other reviews that are questionable, put 'em up so we can look at them.

sure. sounds to me like you have Vista as your OS as well. Vista doesn't like the old php in the archive. So, sometimes the add gets a little wonky. Once you add it, you have to edit it to get it in the right place. go into your story, reselect the category, and the sub subs will then come up for you to move it to its proper place.

y'know, if it comes down to it, legal action; consider the ACLU as a possibility. After all, what they're about is to protect and preserve the Constitution. Think about it, they've taken on cases over the years that have been more than a little controversial, all in an effort to protect the consititutional rights of people. Including, if you remember; people like Madalyn Murray O'Hair for her rights as an atheist, and a chapter of the Nazi party in this country to be able to exercise their right to free assembly. Yes, the Nazi thing REALLY bothered me when it happened, however, the ACLU was protecting those individuals' RIGHTS under the Constitution. So, did I agree that the Nazi party should've done that (marched in Skokie)? HELL NO. BUT, I did at the time, and still do believe that the ACLU was right in protecting those civil liberties.

Absolutely it can be added to. Right now, it's very brief, and yes, it certainly DOES need expanded a bit. As long as you have the artist's permission to use the characters in your writing, state that, and it should cover it all. Yes, it should still be in originals. --Joandoe as long as you've listed it as "full disclaimer below" and it does indeed meet the requirements, yes, it's fine. ---Miranda Pixie thanks for posting these. The authors do have the posted grace period to correct things, and as long as it can be gotten from the text of the disclaimer that they 1. don't own whatever fandom they're writing about and 2. not making money; they and we are protected. As I said in the admin post, the stories will start being hidden for non compliance. Also, I figure a "review" pointing where the disclaimer needs correction from an admin user will help as well. However, I don't plan on doing those for another few days yet. I figured to give them all at least a week to read it and comply before I started playing "tag" with all those stories.
