  1. 'sokay, when they're old unfics, or even for newly posted ones, I look at the profile and delete any others they may have done as well
  2. urrrm.... this is what I got Sixth Level of Hell - The City of Dis You approach Satan's wretched city where you behold a wide plain surrounded by iron walls. Before you are fields full of distress and torment terrible. Burning tombs are littered about the landscape. Inside these flaming sepulchers suffer the heretics, failing to believe in God and the afterlife, who make themselves audible by doleful sighs. You will join the wicked that lie here, and will be offered no respite. The three infernal Furies stained with blood, with limbs of women and hair of serpents, dwell in this circle of Hell. Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Purgatory Repenting Believers Very Low Level 1 - Limbo Virtuous Non-Believers High Level 2 Lustful Moderate Level 3 Gluttonous High Level 4 Prodigal and Avaricious Very Low Level 5 Wrathful and Gloomy High Level 6 - The City of Dis Heretics Very High Level 7 Violent Moderate Level 8- the Malebolge Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers Low Level 9 - Cocytus Treacherous Moderate LOL....in the City of Dis I am... If you mean to get it to work in forum, no the html code won't work. Html is disabled as an option to protect the scripts from hackers.
  3. sure does. Means we don't get to generate a list of the beasties for deletion
  4. Looked at the review boards for both stories, to see what was referenced. In the one, this user simply pointed out pregnancy facts, and it appears the author had no problem with it. In the other, the criticism was harsh, but not technically a flame. At least, this is what I found by looking for reviews made while the user was logged in. If you have links to other reviews that are questionable, put 'em up so we can look at them.
  5. sure. sounds to me like you have Vista as your OS as well. Vista doesn't like the old php in the archive. So, sometimes the add gets a little wonky. Once you add it, you have to edit it to get it in the right place. go into your story, reselect the category, and the sub subs will then come up for you to move it to its proper place.
  6. This one started out the clearly STOLEN story with the statement Mind you, the original story was uploaded to afislash.com 3 years ago. The version here, by the plagiarist, was added to the archive 6/29/08 The original story the story that was here and no longer is Notice that other than changing the character NAMES, the wording is identical.
  7. yup. all of which points to exactly why this whole humongoid project has to be done. *sighs*
  8. y'know, if it comes down to it, legal action; consider the ACLU as a possibility. After all, what they're about is to protect and preserve the Constitution. Think about it, they've taken on cases over the years that have been more than a little controversial, all in an effort to protect the consititutional rights of people. Including, if you remember; people like Madalyn Murray O'Hair for her rights as an atheist, and a chapter of the Nazi party in this country to be able to exercise their right to free assembly. Yes, the Nazi thing REALLY bothered me when it happened, however, the ACLU was protecting those individuals' RIGHTS under the Constitution. So, did I agree that the Nazi party should've done that (marched in Skokie)? HELL NO. BUT, I did at the time, and still do believe that the ACLU was right in protecting those civil liberties.
  9. Absolutely it can be added to. Right now, it's very brief, and yes, it certainly DOES need expanded a bit. As long as you have the artist's permission to use the characters in your writing, state that, and it should cover it all. Yes, it should still be in originals. I'll leave this here so I remember to make time to work on the disclaimers FAQ a bit more, since you asked for additions to it.
  10. you might want to read about the cleanup project a bit. I'll get to these when we get to that subdomain. Still working in Buffy.
  11. --Joandoe as long as you've listed it as "full disclaimer below" and it does indeed meet the requirements, yes, it's fine. ---Miranda Pixie thanks for posting these. The authors do have the posted grace period to correct things, and as long as it can be gotten from the text of the disclaimer that they 1. don't own whatever fandom they're writing about and 2. not making money; they and we are protected. As I said in the admin post, the stories will start being hidden for non compliance. Also, I figure a "review" pointing where the disclaimer needs correction from an admin user will help as well. However, I don't plan on doing those for another few days yet. I figured to give them all at least a week to read it and comply before I started playing "tag" with all those stories.
  12. the sub subs for that section will be added when we get there.
  13. urrrgh it's dead again
  14. done. last link is a very different problem, and will be resolved too
  15. deleting 37131 from Het>Buffy/Spike(William) is in the sort sheets, not the master sheet, so delete from sorted not yet updated. deleting 544196906 from Het>Buffy/Spike(William) is in the sort sheets, not the master sheet, so delete from sorted not yet updated.
  16. thanks for letting me know, was planning on starting with the double/triple posts already found. But, gotta sleep first.
  17. Gotta tell ya, when I went over the list I generated yesterday of improperly disclaimed stories, I was very happy to see that enough of you took what I said seriously, and fixed 'em. So, thanks to all of you who've taken the time to correct the disclaimers
  18. What the hell. May as well add my thoughts to this. First of all, while there is much that has been added to the archive that I personally would never read, for my to demand it's removal would be childish at best, and certainly not in agreement with what I clicked to agree to when I signed up in the fiction portal. If I don't like a subject matter, I don't read it. It really IS that simple for me. Secondly, you've put me in a position of authority where in the process of cleaning up the archive, I do indeed have the ability to remove stuff at will. I've not done that, nor will I, regardless of whether or not I like the subject matter. If I were exercising what my opinions dictate to me, on the basis of QC ALONE there is much I would've deleted by now. That's not even getting into likes/dislikes of subject matter and deleting for that reason. I agree with everyone else. Don't bow down to the attempt at intimidation.
  19. All of her content has been removed. After I get a bit of sleep, and then hopefully after I get home from work tomorrow, I can get on the other part I have planned. If not, it'll be on my next off day. In the meantime, the important part is done, in that the plagiarist and all her content have been removed.
  20. It's a great idea. Would certainly be helpful in my current project as well. I'll be sure to have this added to our 'todo' list for the new software.
  21. don't care so much about the reviews. it's the fact that they consistently IGNORE what was set up here months ago. It's in the damn TOS even.
  22. jeeeez. doesn't anyone bother to read an admin post??? np, they'll be nuked after I do my forum stuff

  24. p 13 544208028 stretched p 2 544202908 squished p 1-42 544201718 A/N, p 4, 7 544185721 squished p 1-22 544172326 look at p 1-8 to be sure html upload is not corrupted
  25. Here's the thing, if you paid attention, the reviews were MERGED from the duplicates, as well as the hits and ratings. The only place I don't do that, is if it's cross posted across subdomains.
