As I said, the forum part is EASY. For those donors who wish to be known as donors, I can easily create a user group that says that is what they are. All I need from them is their forum user name, and I move 'em into the group. That way, anyone who looks at 'em here will SEE that under their names, rather than member or junior member. And, as part of registration requirements for the forum is giving a valid archive user link, all anyone has to do is click that link to see the user's profile. Something for far in the future (and I do mean far, like a year at best) that we can likely do is linking between the profiles in the different programs, once we get the new software working in the manner it needs to be. But in the meantime, at least for the forum, it's definitely very very easy to do. Thank you for your donation Harley!

Actually, the donations would be towards the same thing the advertisements are for. Site hosting costs, any software costs that come up (forum license renewal for example), and other things of that nature. The entire site is rather large, has a dedicated server, so you can well imagine that the monthly costs are a bit up there.

Actually that's incorrect. The Avatar fics are in the CARTOONS subdomain. The ones in the anime subdomain are being moved to cartoons, which is where they belong. It's a top level category, so just click this link, and select "Avatar".

The way to do it is to look at your profile, which will show your story listing. Click the number for the reviews and it'll take you straight to your review board.

check your mail, you should have a reply with how to correct it. I found out that TextEdit saves as html by default. Much like word, it adds extra tags which the archive does not parse at all. When it tries to, you get the weirdness.

Squishes and stretched stuff. Easily enough corrected. html uploads with extra gobbledygood in 'em.

have a few things to add, which are Mac specific. 1. TextEdit saves as html, so how to get around the format restrictions 2. "apple" key = control key Other stuff like that.

Actually there are many Mac users, but I've not heard this as a problem before. Can you give me a link to the story itself? Or better yet, email me the file you were trying to upload so I can have a look at it. If I actually SEE what the file is constructed like, I can help you better.

First of all, the html tags allowed are limited, whether in a plain text file (.txt) or an html file (.htm, .html). There are NO font formattting options available at this time, including choice of font. Secondly (for an html file), if you do not strip out all the extra html that is generated by most programs so that ONLY the text formatting tags remain, the upload will generally become garbled at best, at worst it MIGHT display only the first paragraph of a chapter. Try copy/pasting, and then adding the formatting tags in that window, if nothing else. Let me know how that works. It would be helpful if I knew WHICH subdomain you're trying to post in, so I can see if the error can be duplicated.

people who repeatedly flame, flamebait, act trollish, and in general try to wreak havoc with other members get deleted, once I can prove the necessary patterns of behavior. There is no good reason I can fathom to allow them to access this site to harass others, which is generally done via the review board.

from a mod's viewpoint, I can tell you that people who see the tags and description which STATE things like minor, rape, and etc; and yet still go in to the story to flame the author, I'd look at as trolls and flamers. To my way of thinking, they click that link, knowing what's there, and flame the author because they think they can with impunity. They can't though. Which they're starting to find out I hope.

it is NOT POSSIBLE with this software. This is why we're writing new software for the database. This, and several other functions are going to be included in the new software but it won't be ready for even beta testing for at least another year.
