  1. Eh, don't worry, its not in small part due to my rather short attention span at times
  2. Uh... I wrote a few sentences featuring the eight heroes' battle with the Overlord before Hiccup, then got distracted setting up this account and thread...
  3. Um... The inclusion of orcs, queen La of Tarzan draining Mirage of Aladdin of a significant portion of her powers, and Hiccup conquering the Hercules version of Greece, with several girls from that series getting demigoddess powers. And possibly some more that slipped my mind...
  4. These are plans, and don't worry about it, advice I sought, and advice you have been giving
  5. You do make a good point, and I admit my original plan had just four bound sorceresses, that same number as the Netherghul, when over the course of this discussion ideas for more occurred to me… Granted this is technically all just 'thinking aloud', and some of the ideas might not make it into the story. ... Though a thought occurs to me about having Ursula and/or Morgana as bound sorceresses and including Ariel as a mistress later… Given the myth and rumor I've read that Ursula and Morgana are supposed to be Ariel's aunts, depending on how long ago the Black Baron was active, Ariel would possibly be long dead...
  6. This has possibilities… Admittedly jumping topic completely, but had a thought concerning having Ursula being one of the sorceresses the original Overlord (apparently called the Black Baron, according to the Overlord:Dark Legends game, which I admit I've only read about since it doesn't have a PC version...) sacrificed to charge the Heart… What if he had managed to pull off a two for one kidnapping and got her sister Morgana as well?
  7. Um... I admit I don't recall your 'send them through the portal' idea off the top of my head, but forgiven?..
  8. This is true. Idea for what demigoddess powers on of the other girls could get, Tempest receiving the powers of Nemesis. I just think an amazon princess (perhaps promoted to queen by that point?) would appreciate the ability to turn her hands into any weapon she could think of.
  9. Perhaps, but if I recall the myths correctly, Hercules had to do the labors as atonement for killing Megara, his wife, while hypnotized by his less than loving stepmother, Hera...
  10. That is an angle I had not considered... I haven't gotten the chance to read the final few books in the series, but I don't recall Hiccup masquerading as Thor though...
  11. Eh, is no problem, though I did know that in the original myths Hades was actually one of the nicest gods, and incidentally, had a grand total of ONE interaction with Hercules, when Hercules had to bring the king giving him his labors Cerberus as the final task, and Hades' response when asked was basically "Sure, bring him back when done."
  12. Have at it An idea to explain how Hades could defeat the other Olympians more easily than he did in the franchise… What if gods drew their power from the number of souls, but not necessarily LIVE souls, that believe in them, so when the Glorious Empire's invasion of Greece lowers the Grecian population enough to weaken most of the Olympians, the influx of souls in the Underworld strengthened Hades?
  13. I admit, the potential godhood of Ursula and Ariel had not occurred to me… I also just realized that if I did have Hiccup take a trip to Greece, his group could end up with two Cassandras, the deadpan snarker prophet of Hercules, and the deadpan snarker handmaiden guard of Tangled.
  14. Eh, as I said I was mostly just sharing this particular idea because the idea of Hiccup having just seen so many different types of magic that people spontaneously becoming demigods just draws a jaded "Odd." amused me. Though I suppose of the hosts in the above idea gained the deity's memories they could still get in conflict with Hades, something along the lines of "We should probably stop that guy before he destroys the world or something."...
  15. This is true. I have been struck by another idea, this one I admit might not be the best, but is somewhat amusing. What if Hiccup conquered 'mortal' Greece from the Glorious Empire, completely ignorant of the fact the Grecian gods actually exist, when Hades manages to conquer Olympus, possibly with the aid of the titans, but probably not since they are rather hard to not notice, and executes the other gods before they have a chance to escape or be freed, causing their powers to seek out 'worthy hosts' who just so happen to be the women Hiccup took as mistresses to oversee the regions of Greece, Cassandra, Helen, Tempest, and such, causing them to spontaneously manifest their godly powers in the Dark Tower, drawing a deadpan "Odd." from Hiccup?
  16. These are possibilities, and I admit the only reason my second new idea included Hecate was because if I recall correctly she failed several times to overthrow Hades just like Hades fails to overthrow Zeus... though now that I think about it, isn't Hecate already kind of a female Hades, down to the grey skin, fire hair, and fast talking?..
  17. That could work... Though my mind has seen fit to give me two more possibilities… 1. Hades has actually managed to pull off operation 'Takeover Olympus', as in the final act of the movie, but one of the goddesses escapes and asks Hiccup for help, something along the lines of "If you takeover Greece, you do NOT want Hades to be the one in charge of Olympus" 2. Hecate decides to have another go at taking over the Underworld, and tries to hire Hiccup as a mercenary.
  18. Hmm... This could work... Though now I'm struck by an idea for a running gag of Hiccup not believing in gods, due to the Silent Order of Heaven's Peak declaring him a god, and if I keep him and Hades separate characters, the Forgotten God's defeat by basically tricking him into dropping the cavern roof on his head, declaring them nothing more than magic users of admittedly great power and delusions of grandeur.
  19. This has possibilities... though my over active mind has come up with another idea involving a god approaching Hiccup due to his infamy as a godslayer… What if Hades, admitting to himself that his schemes just aren't working, was the one to contact Hiccup hoping to bribe him into attacking Olympus, possibly with the promise that Hiccup could keep the goddesses to do with what he likes? Granted I doubt I'd have Hiccup go for it, given that he only went after the Forgotten God because he kidnapped Hiccup's citizens, while the Olympians had done nothing to him...
  20. This would work… Though as often seems to be the case, not five minutes after I ask someone for advice, my imagination sees fit to cough up an idea, though admittedly this might not be my best one… Granted Hades only used it in one episode of the show, but he still possesses the Kronus stone, which is essentially kryptonite to gods, so what if the other Grecian gods approached Hiccup, who the gods likely would have heard of, since even though he was from a different pantheon, he still managed to kill a god, to see if they could hire him to do away with Hades before said death deity can manage to do away with them, or at least get the Kronus stone away from Hades? Though your mention of including other girls from Hercules has given me the passing thought of making them demigods too, though the only combination I can think of is the prophetic Cassandra receiving the wisdom of Athena...
  21. I am rather annoyed with my self that that did not occur to me...
  22. That might work… Admittedly changing the topic, but if I were to use my idle idea from yesterday of having Hiccup expand into the Hercules version of Greece, any ideas on how to get Hiccup into conflict with Hades, to bring about my other idle idea of turning Megara into a demigod with Hades' powers?
  23. Not sure about humility, but shed probably be fond of Hiccup given that he was the only one who knew about her predicament, which would just be Hiccup and the other sorceresses, that didn't tease her about it. I admit I hadn't considered the possibility of the previous Overlord draining their powers, though the idea has merit... I had been thinking more along the lines of 'he seized control of the Heart, they have to obey him'. Um, not much of a pokemon fan, but if ye have recommendations for stories of other franchises, lay them on me.
