  1. Re: “Quiet” Thanks! I’m particularly proud of this story.
  2. Yeah, I liked some of his stuff rather well. Too bad he imploded like that.
  3. The wife and I have been taking turns being sick since Thanksgiving weekend. I think we’re finally both past it. But at least I managed to make an awesome Christmas dinner (including my first baked Alaska).

Hope you’re past it, and it stays away, whatever the illness is.

  4. Hey there. Had a nice Christmas; hope you did, too. BTW, since we’re not talking about “Hot Yoga” at this point, perhaps we could communicate via status updates or something instead.
  5. No biggie. Yes, I’ll keep the story idea in the hopper and see if anything shakes out. Hope you’re having a good holiday season.
  6. Re: “The AngelPlay Winter Catalog” I have not written a sequel, but it’s certainly possible that I will. I’d probably do a summer catalog next – something with some nice swimsuits for your furry little girl.
  7. Re: “The Couch Gag” Thanks! It was definitely meant to be funny; I only gave it the “Angst” tag because of the way the characters react in the end.
  8. Actually, I meant between stories, too. I do it because it forces me to be more creative and diverse in naming characters. But in your massive shared universe, unique names are even more important.
  9. Hey there. Yes, I am done with NaNoWriMo. It was intense, but I managed to complete the 50,000 words on time. Regarding a “Hot Yoga” sequel, I think you may have misunderstood what I wrote. As I said, I thought your idea was kind of interesting, but I did not promise to actually write it up. For one thing, as I mentioned, I have a lot of other stories in the works right now. Also, I would want to give some more thought to the idea and see how well it fleshes itself out in my head before I committed to writing it. (This is pretty much how I decide which ideas to go forward with and which ones to leave alone.) In any case, thanks for the note, and I hope all is well with you. Have a great holiday.
  10. I never use the same name twice, at least not for major characters. The closest I’ve come is “Eric” and “Erik.”
  11. More creepy rapey coming up! Thanks for the note.
  12. So I had 400 words to go on NaNoWriMo, and I couldn’t think of what else to write. Then my wife says, “Write a sex scene. You might as well play to your strengths.”

There is now a sex scene. And I’m at 50,000!

What? Lots of writers use prompts. :)

Plenty of prompts, just point your browser to (...not saying...)  :)

My daft one just shakes his head and leaves the room.

  13. Glad you liked it! I actually hadn’t seen that pic from Relatedguy until your comment compelled me to look for it on Rule34. The inspiration (for this chapter, at least) came from DoctorYnot’s Loud House fic “Make It Wit Chu,” in which Lincoln is serially sexually abused by each of his older sisters. Anyway, hope you’ll enjoy the next chapter just as much. Thanks for the comment!
  14. I find that it helps to let ideas percolate for a bit before I start writing anything. That tells me whether the idea is sufficiently compelling to keep me writing until the story is finished.
  15. Here, I’ll post responses to reviews of my Steven Universe fic “Splinter.”
  16. Agree with BW. The really good inspirations are the ones that stay with you, that develop themselves in your head instead of fading away. Any idea that quickly vanishes from your mind probably wasn’t worth your time, anyway.
  17. Finally caught up on NaNoWriMo yesterday. Looks like I’m gonna make it! Now I just have to think of what to write about for the next 4 days, but I’ll figure it out.

I didn’t signup, but, it’s not too shabby, up about 40k this month to my “the repair guy” story (I’m seeing 46k on the drive, but some of that was pulled in from earlier work).

  18. Hey there. I’ve been doing National Novel Writing Month and haven’t had much time to visit this forum. I hope to come by a bit more regularly when November is over. I think your idea is a bit interesting. Maybe Jenny and the gang get up to some sexy shenanigans while the main characters are doing their Christmas in July special. Can’t promise I’ll do anything with that, though; as always, I’ve got a lot of other stories in the works. Thanks for the notes! Hope you had a good Black Friday.
  19. Yes, this was kind of a wish-fulfillment poem. Unfortunately, my neighborhood is a popular dumping ground for unwanted pets, which includes a disproportionate number of black cats. I’d love to think that those who abandon them eventually get theirs – and that those who adopt them get theirs, too.
  20. Thank you! That’s high praise indeed. That’s terrific. My black cats are all ex-strays, too, and they just make me happy.
  21. Thanks! I wanted the story to focus on B-list characters who don’t get a lot of screen time on the show, and Dr. Hirano and Coltrane both fall into that category. Also, I kind of have a fetish for moms acting as sexual mentors for their children (some call that the “mother’s duty” fetish), and in this case, that extended to her child’s boyfriend, too. Plus, horny MILF + horny teenage boy is a good match. I have no immediate plans to write a sequel, but it’s always possible that I’ll be struck by an exciting idea for one and write it. In any case, glad you liked it.
  22. Re: “Backstage at the Loud House” From Flagg1991 on November 13, 2017 Thanks, Flagg! I’ve been tied up with RL writing this month and haven’t been able to spend much time on fanfic, so your review really brightened my day. Whom do I remind you of? Maybe I’d like their stuff. Or maybe I’d hate it and realize that I”m no good at this. Or maybe I’d discover that I have an unauthorized clone. Or that I AM the unauthorized clone. Or- Okay, the point is, Thank you!
  23. If it seems like I’ve been really quiet lately, it’s because I’m doing NaNoWriMo. Because reasons, I wasn’t able to write much of anything during the first 5 days of November, and I’m still trying to catch up. Luckily, my wife has all our cats to keep her company. :\

Sorry you have to miss it. Hope you can get back to it next year.

This is only the second time I’ve done it, and it’s every bit as intense as I remembered.

Oh Nano season is so exciting! Are you excited?! I’m excited for you! (Too much of a commitment phobe to do it myself so I like living vicariously.)

I’m definitely excited. It’s tiring, though. I’m probably spending more than 2 hours a day just writing. (One wonders when I’ll get around to putting away those clean dishes that have been sitting in the dishwasher for the past day and a half.) But I’m glad I’m doing it.

  24. Happy Halloween, everyone! Hope you're all having a great night.
