Re: “Snow” From InBrightestDay on April 24, 2019 Wow, what’s it like there? I’m picturing damp stone walls, bare bulbs dangling from the ceiling...basically Drusselstein. I learned about yuki-onna from watching Rosario + Vampire. (I don’t watch a lot of anime, but now and then one sucks me in.) I thought the young yuki-onna Mizore was hot, and I liked the concept – sort of sirens of the snow. Thanks! Sticking to the limit definitely took some doing. (Full disclosure: I had to look up “psychopomp” at Dictionary.com.) I have the idea that members of Hisashi’s family have been doing this for a few generations at least. (They’re prone to cancer, but it doesn’t tend to strike until they are in their 40s or 50s, after they’ve had kids.) They know where to go to find a yuki-onna; then she gets a meal, and the terminally ill man gets a pleasant death. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

SWP1: The next and final chapter of Little Rose is going to take a bit longer than the previous chapters, because unlike them, there wasn't any material already written for this chapter; I only started writing text for it a couple of weeks ago. I haven't written any of the "action" scenes yet. Had a nice Easter dinner with friends. Hope you had a good Easter, too.

So, last night, I posted chapter 3 of Delta Delta Delta. This was a big deal for me, because I hadn’t finished a new chapter for that story in almost 6 years. I’d always planned to get back to it, and several months ago, I posted the first 2 chapters here on AFF to help motivate me. (The story was originally posted only on Hentai Foundry.) It seems to have worked. Now, hopefully, readers won’t have to wait another 6 years for chapter 4.

Of course it’s weird. That’s why I like it.

TNG definitely got off to a wobbly start, but it improves substantially in the second season: fewer stories cribbed from TOS, better-defined roles for the characters, better uniforms, and Riker grows that awesome beard.

I’m glad you weren’t so turned off by Guidelines et al that you stopped reading my stories all together. The contrast is deliberate. Tony really appreciates their kindness because he knows too well what the lack of it is like. Because the story is sort of a tribute to the art of Glassfish, I wanted to include her in the story in some way, and making her the creator of the Beach seemed appropriate. (Also, the bit about the King of the Mists is a nod to the artist Fogbank, who mainly draws pics of lolis cavorting with adult men.) I like to mix different kinds of desires. Tony’s “nursing” on Cherisse is a sexual thing, but at the same time, it’s a reflection of his wish for a real mother figure, which Cherisse (and Annie) provide, in a way. I’m glad you enjoyed it and that you appreciate the spirit in which it was written. Thanks very much for the review!

This chapter is pretty much Mara’s awakening to who she is and what she wants. There will be elaboration on that in the next (final) chapter. As for your other questions, I’ve answered them in my “Transparency” thread.

Hey all. I’m inches away from finishing the next chapter of Little Rose; I expect to post it tomorrow night. (Again, I’m not writing that one at light speed; fully half of this chapter was written before I even posted chapter 1.) As for The More, the Merrier, here’s the status: I have planned 10 scenes for the chapter. Five of these are now fully written, two are partially written, and three aren’t started or are barely started. I may end up moving a scene or two to the next chapter, depending on how long it all ends up being. SWP1, to answer your other questions: My favorite Star Trek is The Next Generation (I always liked Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard). Yes, I’ve seen the trailer for Episode 9, and I like the bit with Rey charging a TIE fighter on foot. I never watched much of the Twilight Zone, but I’ve seen some of the classic episodes like “Terror at 20,000 Feet” (which, coincidentally, starred William Shatner, and was directed by Richard Donner of Superman, Lethal Weapon, and X-Men fame).

Hey, all. Earlier this week, I sent a draft of chapter 6 of “Auntie’s Home” to my friend and beta Jomahawk, who pointed out some issues that I’m now fixing. I hope to post the new chapter tomorrow night. I’ve also made good progress on the next chapters of “Little Rose” and “Country Summer,” and scattered progress on three different upcoming chapters of “Wishful.” The “Little Rose” chapter will almost certainly be the next thing finished. SWP1: I haven’t seen Shazam yet, but maybe this weekend. I also want to see Us. And then, of course, Endgame.

Yes, I actually reread “Bell of the Ball” before I read “Afterparty Pressure.” And I’m halfway through “Mabel Pines Saves Christmas!” Looking forward to seeing whether she succeeds.

Yeah, it would be fun to see Joan actually get it on with her many-limbed friend, but even the fantasy was pretty nice. As for Bruce, at his age, he might have to be “The Evil Granddad.”

The story requires a fair amount of exposition, and I feel like it’s more interesting (for the reader and myself) if the exposition comes in Mia’s own words. I hope you’ll like it. The next chapter is going to be a bit different; it’s titled “The Worst Day of My Life.”

I realized today that although I was planning for the next chapter of “Little Rose” to be the last, there’s really too much story there to cram into one chapter. So 2 chapters are still forthcoming. SWP1, thanks for the comment on “Little Rose.” I left a response in that thread.

Glad you liked that. And it’s funny you mention Adyson taking Gretchen to the beach and letting everyone have their way with her, because that’s a subject that might just come up in the next chapter of “The More, the Merrier.”

Made a lot of progress on stories this week, chiefly “The More, the Merrier” and “Auntie's Home,” but I still don't have anything terribly close to being ready to post. What I'd like to finish next is chapter 3 of my long-neglected busty-sorority-girls story, “Delta Delta Delta,” but I have to go where inspiration takes me.

Mia does a lot of terrible things, but she’s not stone-cold about them, or she wouldn’t be confiding in you in the first place. Hey, all. Sorry for the radio silence recently; I was down with a cold for much of last week. This means that I also got virtually no writing done, because I do most of my smut writing on weekday evenings – after work, but before my ADHD meds wear off. I didn’t take those meds last week (no point in being able to focus if you’re feeling too crappy to work anyway), so pretty much nothing happened. But I’ve bounced back now, and I’m back on the smut-writing trail again. Got some solid work done tonight on chapter 4 of “The More, the Merrier,” but it’s still going to be a while before I post it because this chapter is going to be as mammoth as the last one. Also did some work on chapter 3 of “Delta Delta Delta,” but there’s a ways more to go on that one, too. Probably the next thing I’ll post is chapter 7 of “Little Rose.” I can bang out chapters of that story about twice as fast as the others because (a) much of the “writing” is really just stitching together scenes that I wrote many months ago, and (b) the chapters are relatively short. I also did something today that I don’t usually do: I removed a story from the List of Twenty. Not because I’m giving up on it, but because I realize that it needs to be completely rethought. It’s a sequel to my Miraculous fic “Miss Match,” and whereas that story is very faithful to the formula of the show itself: there’s an akumatized villain, Spots On and Claws Out, Lucky Charm, Cataclysm, and all the other elements that an episode of the show typically includes. This sequel story deviated drastically from that formula, and I decided that I didn’t like that. IMO, there’s no point in writing a sequel that bears no resemblance to the original. So I’m putting that story back in the hopper to wait for some better ideas to arise. SWP1, I did indeed see Captain Marvel and enjoyed it. My favorite part was when Carol remembers all the times she fell down...and got back up again.
