Ah, right, I’d forgotten that Nixon managed to quit before the House could impeach him. That’s an even better argument for him being a better president than Trump. Frankly, if I had to choose between the two, I’d take Nixon in a heartbeat. But he’d have to bring Gerald Ford along, not Spiro Agnew (who was all too Trump-like himself).

So, news: -- I’ve just send chapter 2 of CMDCS off to Fairy Slayer for beta part deux. -- In the past couple of days, I’ve made a ton of progress on story 4 of “The Power Arcane.” I expect to post it by Friday.

Oh, no worries at all. I’m glad to have your review, regardless of the timing. I thought that would be a good way to start off the story before getting into all the exposition that comes after. Some time after I started writing this story, I watched a couple of Disney shorts called “Prep and Landing” about elves who prep houses for Santa’s visit. In one of them, there’s a girl who hacks Santa’s server to move herself from the Naughty List to the Nice List. That was Jomahawk’s idea. I originally had them kissing Rudy goodbye, but I liked his suggestion better. Thanks! That was a fun one to write. Yeah, everyone loves that part. I took that idea from Fairy Slayer, who presented it as a joke in his review of “The Ninth Reindeer.” I’m glad you liked that. That’s my favorite piece of dialogue in the story, and you’re the first reader to mention it. Check back next Christmas! I did indeed. Thank you! Absent any reviews or a trailer, I’m looking forward to that movie. So far, I’ve really enjoyed Warner Bros’ “Monsterverse” movies. Thank you! I hope to post that chapter this week. I’ll put it in my “Ideas” file and see if I’m inspired at some point. You too!

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people (mostly on TV shows) misusing the expression “Divide and conquer.” This phrase does NOT mean “Split up to tackle separate tasks.” It means “Separate your enemies from one another so you can more easily overpower them.”

I’ve just sent chapter 2 of “The Cartooniverse Mother-Daughter Crossover Sextacular” off to Jomahawk for its stage-1 beta. Once I hear back from him and make any revisions, I’ll send it to Fairy Slayer for stage 2. Next, my main focus will be on finishing story 4 of “The Power Arcane.” Then I’ll try to focus on chapter 9 of “Wishful.” Of course, I’m still working on other stuff at the same time. Tonight, before and after finishing up with the CMDCS chapter, I put in some work on my new Star Vs. story. That may be the next story I start posting once I’m done with “Wishful,” although it’s just as likely that it will be my Big Hero 6 story, “Rashomonster.”

From InBrightestDay on January 10, 2021 Just FYI, I came up with this story idea months before the news of the Russian hack came, so this was not meant as a “ripped from the headlines” kind of story. I’m glad. Tune in next Christmas! Exactly the idea. Hey, I used the term “top rack” for a reason. My wife thought it might be an homage to the trench run in Star Wars. I’ll admit that was one inspiration (along with, God help me, the canyon-flying scene from Iron Eagle II). Boy, they sure have. I love it when stories do this. The “remote polar site” had me thinking about The Thing, and by extension other horror movies like Nightmare on Elm Street. Hence, deadly boiler room. Indeed! I hope it will live up to your expectations.

I was beside myself as it all unfolded. And because I live in a more conservative region I know I’m going to go to work today and see people still unashamedly wearing their maga crap and I’m going to have to be polite and courteous to these people or I lose my job. The worst part is I’ve actually seen some people wearing QAnon shirts and the like.

Fascists storm the capitol to try and keep their autocrat in charge and the next day are saying “no, it was the anti-fascists” Christ, the doublethink.

While I agree about the proximate cause of the attack that they need to be removed and punished, the truth is that Trump is merely the painful symptom of what's been destroying the U.S. for decades, not the cause. As Krystal Ball says, "The ugly truth is that Trump is as American as apple pie."
So why is half the country so angry that they're willing to believe terrible things and blindly follow an absurdly blatant liar and criminal? Many ordinary people are angry, and it's been festering for decades. From where they're sitting, the politicians and corporations have been steadily destroying their lives and the lives of their children just to make an extra buck. The spectacular failures of the pandemic response at every level of government does not help with that anger either. And sadly Trump and many other bad actors are very good at using that anger.
Meanwhile most news outlets have found it more profitable to keep people ignorant and polarized, ever fearful that either the bad brown man or the bad orange man is coming for us… while it's actually an entrenched corrupt system that’s slowly killing us from the inside.
Unless we fix the many underlying problems in America we'll only be seeing more and more of this violence all around the country.
(And the preppers are laughing their asses off right about now.)

Chapter 4 of “Biological Imperative” is posted! I’m not quite sure what I’ll finish next, but chapter 2 of “The Cartooniverse Mother-Daughter Crossover Sextacular” seems like the best bet. I’d really like to finish up story 4 of “The Power Arcane,” too, but there’s quite a bit more to be done there. Same goes for chapter 8 of “Just One Rule.” As for chapter 9 of “Wishful,” I’ve written about 2000 words at this point, which means it’s about one-third finished. There are also a couple of one-shots that might be finish-able in the near future. Happy New Year to you, SWP1!

From Thundercloud on December 26, 2020 I've observed that some women have particular fetishes with regard to where the guy's hands go during sex, so I thought it would be fun to give Prancer such a fetish, but reindeer-specific. Truth be told, I wasn't really thinking about new readers when I wrote this, except in that I put "Sequel to 'The Ninth Reindeer'" in the summary. Or maybe other stories set in the same world. This could be the beginning of a whole Rudyverse! That was all FairySlayer's idea. He meant it as a joke, which he made in his review of "The Ninth Reindeer," but I liked it and went with it. Just as I did with your calculation of the number of children Santa could conceivably deliver toys to. Probably just lying in her own bed watching reindeer porn as Rudy gets her off remotely. Thanks! Certainly a possibility. It would be nice to have a threesome where you could so easily satisfy both women at once. You're welcome, and indeed you will!

You did indeed! This seems to have been a popular idea. Both sisters are too thicc for thigh-gap-related technology. No. Just no. I guess some elves can be a little insensitive about such things (as with Greta's "I love the taste of reindeer" comment). The design of it just looks very '90s. My original idea was that Ida would have Rudy sleep in her room "for warmth." Then I kind of lost track of that after I got the thermal-grotto idea. Maybe after this incident they will upgrade. Okay, I normally don’t pay attention to prompts because I have too many story ideas of my own, but this one interests me. I like the notion of a mom who has a fancy, intact-male show dog that she loves more than her dumpy daughter, so she makes the daughter the dog’s de facto sex slave.
