  1. Oh, you should have known better. Next time, perhaps... Nanaea?
  2. Sorry, your request cannot be completed at this time. Please check the member's name and try again. Uh...StoryJunkie?
  3. 2602 AKA: Not nearly as cool as my last number.
  4. I am no longer allowed to stay up until 3am and then get up at 6am unless I have passed through several time zones while asleep.

    Whole 10 Yards (movie)
  6. ^ Had a weeble tree house, which I'm tempted to call a weeble twee house. < Never had a weeble, therefore, I have no opinion. Shocking, I know... < By the time I reached the age of weeble appreciation, I was busy with my small army of barn cats and their innumerable kittens, so my time with inanimate toys was limited. V Preferred to receive clothes as opposed to toys as a child.

    I Am...

I am just getting home from work. I am thinking all this overtime sucks flaming hot monkey ass. I am quite sure that I should not use that exact phrase on my next application under the heading "Why are you leaving your current position?"
  8. 2600 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Oh! Don't make me start one! Fine... Uhh... Insects A: Aphid
  10. BTW...I did nothing to push Dazzled toward the wondrous world of Potter...except talk about it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the time. See? No blame can be laid here. *steps over the blame and resumes the innocent whistling*
  11. 2575 <--- That's not too boring...
  12. Not today... Nanaea?
  13. Yes...yes...poly quoted herself in her post because her ability to copy/paste must have been affected by the heat. *wanders away whistling innocently*
  14. I am no longer allowed to point and chant, "Cheater! Cheater! It makes even less sense to me now because I'm illiterate!"
  15. Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh! We shall praise your name in the Love Actually Love Service of Patron Story Saints on the morrow! StoryJunkie?
  16. ^ Shouldn't bug my office to listen to me mouth breathe. < Is only mouth breathing because the heat has apparently pissed off my sinuses. < Refuses to take medication because it will only make me stranger than I already am and I can't afford to miss work after I wake up naked in the middle of the street with an empty bottle of Advil Cold & Sinus at my side...again. V Remembers the good old days when summer meant watching cartoons and...well...watching cartoons.
  17. Someone called me Livid Tangerine today, but they mistook me for someone else. StoryJunkie?
  18. I am no longer allowed to blame the heat for my inability to comprehend Story's last post.
  19. It's there, along with anything else I stumble across on amazon, ebay, anything that might come rapped in brown paper so the old' hubby won't wise up. We collect a lot of movies, so he has yet to figure out that Rickman happens to pop up in quite a few of them. While looking up a bit on Dostoevsky a while back, I found out that Rickman did an independent film adaptation of Brothers Karamazov. Haven't seen that yet. I think he was in a stage adaptation as well. Can’t remember…brain melting in the heat. Honestly, I’m not obsessed enough to know the names of all his stage characters as well. Who has the time!? Just saw the trailer for Snowcake, BTW, to drag this topic entirely off topic. Now that I know what it’s about, it might not be so bad after all. At least I wasn’t like that poor girl at Potter Place that though it had vampires in it. Heh…vampires. An article about Rickman featured the word “vampish” when referring to Carrie-Ann Moss’ character, and the poor girl misunderstood.
  20. Gah! That was the one part of GoF that I was waiting to see. I couldn't wait to see what kind of twists, or maybe clues, might surface in that scene. I honestly could have given a good goddamn about most of the film. It felt choppy, like it skipped time, particularly important bits of time, in my opinion. After Harry whooped Voldemort, so to speak, I was leaning forward in my theater seat, far enough that the springs should have pulled the seat up and out from under me, in anticipation of the Infirmary scene where Snape gets all "look at the cool Death Eater tattoo on my forearm. Isn't it pretty?", but then...Dumbledore! Great Hall! Tragic loss! WTF?! I spent the rest of the movie impersonating a fish and speaking in clipped phrases and muttered curse words. "But I...why would they...I don't...what about...Fudge was supposed to...I can't believe..." My husband certainly got an earful when we got back to the car. To which he replied, "Didn't get enough of you precious Rickman, did you?" "That", I informed him, "is not the point."
  21. Dazzled! You're not dead!! Splendid! Trust me, it's not just you. Between work, life, and the heat, I don't think I'm ever going to write anything but slop until I can submerge my brain in coffee and ice water respectively. The heat and the humidity have made me stupid! I'm convinced! I can't remember things. I feel all...Alzheimer-y...er...something. Every thought occurs with other little thoughts in between. "I need to infuse a bit more remorse into the interaction at...the...beginning...god, it's fucking hot...the beginning of chapter...jeez, my eyeballs are sweaty...of chapter...have I stopped breathing or am I in hell...?" It's just not conducive to...anything!! BAH! *takes ski mask off smilie because it's fucking HOT!* Whew! That's better... I'm glad to hear about your house though. Congrats! I know you were hoping for that for a long time so enjoy it! Oh, and StoryJunkie, when did you post the self-portrait with your new melon helmet?
  22. ^ Knew I couldn't resist the link. < Now knows she's 17.15976% geek. < Was freaked out a little to realize that she knew Pi up to 10 digits. < Can also recite the Greek alphabet from memory. < Just increased her geek score by a couple of points with that piece of knowledge. V Is still taking the Geek Test.
  23. Neither have I. Although today I'm seriously considering it. I have never been naked in public.
  24. Wow. Is it possible that we're actually getting worse at this? Madapple?
