My recommendation is to upload your avatar picture to a free hosting service like Photobucket, and then simply copy and paste the url of your photo to the appropriate field. This will work for both the forum and the archive.

The author has an account here, but has no stories posted on AFF at the moment. As far as I can tell, the stories were not removed by AFF staff, which means that the author chose to pull them for reasons they have not disclosed.

@lara black: AOL may have sent the validation email to the Spam or Junk folder. Check there, and see if it's been redirected. AOL is quite zealous in treating unknown senders as spam.

It will be over the course of a few months, as I understand it. We would rather do this in stages, and deal with issues as they arise rather than do a sweeping change and perhaps wind up doing more harm than good. I'd suggest keeping an eye on the monthly news announcements, since Apollo, our site owner, will be giving everyone warning before the next changes are rolled out, especially if there is anything that our users need to do to prepare.

Hi! If you had already indicated on your archive profile that you wanted email notification of new reviews, I am told that you should still get such email notifications. I believe that this option will be added in the future phases of the new code rollout. The number of reviews on a story is still shown in the story listing in the archive itself, although it does not show on your author profile page. But anyone viewing your story on the main listing pages will see the number of reviews as usual. I hope this helps!

They are handling requests as quickly as possible, so be a little patient, and you'll be able to complete validation once you're merged.

The first question we need to ask is if you received the validation email that would have been generated by the system. Depending on how many requests were in the queue, this might have taken up to an hour to be received, and if you have not received it, we suggest checking in your Spam or Junk folder in case your email program moved it there. Once you receive the validation email, click on the link within the email and follow the instructions from there on.
