  1. We still have the Rich Text Editor that allows you to edit a chapter that's been posted. That's never changed, so I still fail to understand what the original poster is asking.
  2. You don't need to validate your account to the new code. You opened the account after that process had begun, and therefore the validation process won't work for you. You don't need to use the Member Tools tab to log in. From the home screen of the archive, http://www.adult-fanfiction.org/html-index.php, you will see, in the upper right corner, a pair of fields for your email and password. That's where and how you log in. Please do not attempt to change the password there. If you need to change the password, you can use this FAQ, which has the link to reset the password: http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/index.php/topic/29620-how-to-reset-your-password/ I'm showing your account as this: http://members.adult-fanfiction.org/profile.php?no=1296908771 The last activity was 2012-03-23 16:19:15, which appears to be when you created the account. I show no stories posted under this account name. Is that all correct?
  3. Have you checked your Spam or Junk folders for our emails? There's often an issue with AFF mail being redirected to those folders. However, as far as I can tell, your account doesn't need validation. It has not been accessed since the day you created it, however. So, with that in mind: Are you using the correct email as your login? Are you using the boxes in the upper right hand corner to log in? Are you typing in your password correctly? This is case sensitive, so if you used capital letters anywhere, you will need to use them every time in those places. If the answer to all those questions is yes, I need you to list the steps that you are taking, so I can see where this is going wrong. Be as detailed as possible. Thanks!
  4. Or it means don't use Internet Explorer, which is a complete fail as a browser. Aside from that, I love my PC. On a separate note, please don't hijack threads with silly lists. We excise those from profiles as needless profile vomit, and it seems inappropriate to place them in another member's thread.
  5. That works for me. Let's see if the readers concur.
  6. This FAQ explains how to edit the Summary Field, which is where both the description of the story and the tags live. Once a story is posted to the archive, you no longer have access to the dropdown menu for tags. In order to edit those, you need to manually remove and/or add tags, keeping in mind that the field has a 240 character limit. Use your arrow keys to move to the end of the Summary Field line in the edit screen, and you will see the tags.
  7. I've added you to the queue for account merger. It can take up to 48 hours, so bear with us.
  8. Hi, If you have a new archive account, we could merge the accounts as another option, which would save you having to request an account deletion of the old account. We'd just need the info on the new account.
  9. I've had to file takedown notices for my published work. I found it on pirate sites, and did get it taken down. It's the stuff I'm publishing online, for free. I mean, really... just read it, and if you're needing to download it to read offline, just tell me. I'm pretty approachable, I think, and more than likely, I won't have an issue with it. It's the surreptitious stuff that bugs me. We do indeed have a timestamp of when a story was first published with us, and provided you haven't taken it down and reposted it, that date will be there forever. FFN does the same thing, and so does AO3. Any reputable site will do so, I find.
