Here, we call that constructive criticism, and I for one adore it. We define flaming as an attack that is not related to the story, but becomes a personal assault on the author. Pretty much what the hardcore fans in your example would be doing, and we don't tolerate that here. -

The author was sour_grape. I'm not showing any record of staff action for this author or that story in particular, so my assumption is that the author removed the story.

It really burns my ass when you call to make an appointment with a doctor, and they give you a date over 2 months away. Really? So, I guess using the emergency department as a primary care center is okay now?
