I don't believe they have the right to, or attempt to, throw the complete power of the Catholic Church behind this crusade.

There's one in the Gundam Wing fandom. Chimeara by ShenLong -
Minor found on site: Polar-chan (http://anime.adult-fanfiction.org/authors.php?no=1296864598) Was surprised to find this author on aff.net, especially as she is 15: http://polar-chan.deviantart.com/ That's a link to where you'll find the evidence. At the top under username, she's listed as being 15. Sent an email, but I figured I'd list it here as well.

Gundam isn't really a fandom I'm interested in or follow either, but the story is pretty easy to follow. And it's supposed to take place after the series, so no mecha, which is the best thing for me because I really don't like mecha anime. -

There's a story in the Gundam fandom, Chimaera by ShenLong that contains a fully functional hermaphrodite (though he has something happen to him in order to become fully functional. It's pretty interesting. -
You know I wonder if it's sexist that everyone's calling this person 'he'

Why Mary Sue Litmus Tests Suck
bookworm51485 replied to Harley Quinn hyenaholic's topic in Original Character Development
I think it really depends on the test. I found a pretty good one on TONFA that is pretty accurate, I think. -
Hopefully they're not too determined.

It looks like he's just going section to section, posting 200-400 stories each. He's hit about 5-6 sections at this point, probably gonna go for more before he gets deleted.
-
Looks like he's aiming for between 200-400 stories per section. I can see him working on the Bleach section now, the number keeps going up.

This is the same person as the Fanfic Bomber topic.

Was just coming to report this guy. He's doing the same thing on the Naruto board: http://naruto.adult-fanfiction.org/authors.php?no=1296863488

Rude and /or Malicious consumers
bookworm51485 replied to manta2g's topic in Legal Questions/Debates
I remember once when I was younger, my family went to Church's chicken to get some food. My brother asked for no ice in his soda and the girl put ice, so before she could add the soda he interrupted her and asked for no ice again. She got pissed and threw the ice across the kitchen. At the time it was kind of shocking but now it's pretty funny:) -

Well in the stores where they promise price matching, this isn't completely out of line. -
Coolies, glad to see one more gone. Now for the rest of them:)

My Character - Mary Sue?
bookworm51485 replied to ReiLovesLennon9's topic in Original Character Development
Found this test of TONFA, it's actually pretty good: Mary-Sue Test by Basement_Girl -
I reported this person over a month ago, but nothings happened yet so I wanted to report it again: Your little Veela is a minor. She had her age listed as 14, she's since taken it down. But Ezriee, did see proof of her minor status. I also have a Print Screen image of her profile with her date of birth listed.

Who said anything about them not having a doctrine. It has no place in government. They don't have the right to force THEIR religious beliefs on the entire population. Honestly, I'm beginning to think you just like to be argumentative. The politicians they mentioned are pro-choice, they just happen to be Catholic. They have a problem with them being pro-choice politicians, they feel that they should push a shove the pro-life agenda down our throats. And as I said, they're being proper politicians by putting what might be their personal religious beliefs aside to represent the whole. They don't have the right to force the ideals of their faith on those who don't share it. Acting on your faith is making sure that you PERSONALLY do what you have to do, not trying to force others to believe what you do. Personally, I think if the Catholic Church really gave a crap about life, they'd speak out just as strongly about capital punishment and spend the massive amounts of money they have on the support of the children who are already here that nobody wants. Or maybe try to clean up their own house a bit so we don't have anymore cases of priests coming out admitting they'd molested a hundred boys and/or girls while in that position. As a person in the country, of course they have the basic right to vote, but putting the weight and resources of the Catholic Church behind this 'mission', no. They're attempting to push their Catholics beliefs into gov't to reign over all. Honestly, I think the label of anti-abortion is a bit of a fallacy, as if being pro-choice makes you pro-abortion. I wonder how many 'anti-abortion' people are not so because of their faith.

Religious doctrine If it's an issue in which a certain decision interferes with another's beliefs, then yes it does. You should not be basing any decisions made for the general public on your religious beliefs, if that decision could encroach on the belief's of others. On the issue of abortion a person can not let their religious beliefs determine how they act on behalf of the general public, because there are those of the general public, who they were elected to represent, that don't share those same religious beliefs (there are even those within the same faith who don't hold the same religious beliefs).

For me, my first problem with this is why now, why Obama? They had 30+ years to start really laying it on and declaring pro-abortion rights legislation and attack on the church. So why now? My next problem is the issue of Separation of Church and State. Separation of church and State means that religious doctrine has no place is gov't and lawmaking. Why? Because we are a country of MANY religions, including the many atheists and agnostics. Catholic beliefs are Catholic beliefs and should have no place in deciding how to govern over all, including the non-Catholics. The Catholic church, they're not campaigning, they're going on the attack. 'Do what we say or else?' It's ridiculous. I don't think it's at all that simple. I think those Catholics in gov't who don't push their Catholics beliefs in everything recognize the Separation of Church and State. They recognize that not all of their constituents are Catholic and that they were elected to represent ALL and not just the ones of the same faith.

Catholic bishops will fight Obama on abortion Idiots

Humans, by nature, are inconsiderate pigs. And parents are doing lousy jobs raising their kids because they want to be friends instead of disciplinarians. So when they get older, they can't function in society with even the slightest bit of consideration. I worked in a library (I know a lot of people probably think this is an easy job but believe me it's NOT) and the kind of things people would do or let their kids do would shock you. One of the more extreme incidents were the poop issues. For a period of time someone was crapping all over the library, in the bathroom on the floors, walls, all over the seats, trailing it out into the lobby, on the pathway behind the library heading to the employee entrance, on the floor in front of the bookdrop (in which they rubbed a children's book and then placed it into the bookdrop with the rest of the books). Yeah.. then of course there are the screaming brat children that run all over and won't shut up. And then when our security says anything, parents get an attitude. We have stuffed animals on top of the shelves, as a point of reference. Parents will take them down for their brats to drag around and ruin and when we say no, again, get an attitude. They pull books off the shelves for no damn reason, and some idiots try to reshelve them (though somehow they can never manage to do it right despite it being in ALPHABETICAL AND NUMERICAL ORDER!!!!) Then of course, there are the people who ruin books/DVDs/CDs/etc, but never want to pay for them. The people who lose them but insist they returned them. The people who get an attitude when you tell them how many fines they have, when it's their own damn fault for letting the fines add up in the first place. The generally disgruntled people who come in pissed off looking to piss someone else off. The drunks (yeah, we've gotten some of those too). The juvenile delinquents (had to call the cops on them a few times). The violent and belligerent (again, had to call the cops). I'm not there any more and despite how well it paid ($11/hour), I'm actually glad. It was too much stress. Crappy customers and bosses who expected you to kiss those crappy customers asses. I could have a perfectly pleasant look on my face, but I'm supposed to smile like I'm the frickin Joker all the time. -
I saw that too. I must admit to finding it interesting because I'm taking a Japanese Society and Culture class and for the past few weeks the teacher keeps mentioning how the Japanese aren't too keen on black people. She talked about a black student of hers who'd gone to Japan. He said that when he went on to the trains and sat down, all the people around him would get up and move away. And that once when he was walking down the street, he passed a little girl and her mother and when the girl saw him, she started screaming hysterically They were doing that in my neighborhood too, though not as noisily as I think in other areas and not for as long. Funny, that was my first thought too when he walked up to the podium. I'm glad nothing happened and hopefully nothing will. Sorry about your job. I know how that feels, lost my job back in August (though my reason had a bit more personal motivation behind it). But I'm luckier than most I think, I live with my mom and so all I have to do now is focus on finishing school. Good luck with your situation.

I know there have been plans (to assassinate Obama), but hopefully none of them will succeed. Interesting thing though, I saw a video on yahoo about a town in Japan called Obama that were supporting Obama. They had a big party election night with 'hula' dancers and Obama noodles for sale. And several American Democrats who were in Japan went to the town to celebrate. And now they want Obama to visit:)
