First of all, I should add my thanks to the rest. It's definitely a nice option to have. But I did have one question/suggestion. Is it possible instead of making the default to not allow anonymous reviews, that it could be the other way around. To allow anonymous reviews, but for those authors who are having issues to disallow it (that was just a horrible sentence but I think it basically makes sense). Because it seems like a lot of author's don't know that they have that option.

She made a blanket statement and I responded by saying that she's too determined to look at the world in black and white absolutes instead of the shades of gray that it is. She has a reason to feel the way she does for herself, but making a general statement like it's an absolute fact based on her personal experience and her personal beliefs that makes her full of crap in my opinion. And like I said, if you people choose to take it as a personal insult then that's on you. And I really don't want to hear that whole 'childish' argument. It's absurd to make a statement like that. YOU might never choose it, but you can't say the same for others. There are many people I know of who know all the facts about abortion, more than I even realized there were and they still STRONGLY advocate the pro-choice stance. Well that's you. This discussion is on a specific topic, on which she's given a very definite opinion and in response I say that opinion is crap and in terms of that she's full of crap. I didn't say she's full of crap in general, because like I said, I really don't know her. I figured it was obvious that I was specifically referring to this discussion and if you chose to take it as a general statement, oh well. BTW when have I insulted you? Saying that I hate pro-lifers isn't an insult, it's how I feel and I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to feel however I choose. If I'd said sometimes along the lines of you being this biggest moron I'd ever encountered (and before someone gets offended, I'm not saying that) then I think you could take that as an insult. I don't pretend to be innocent. When I insult someone I usually make it obvious and I make no attempts to hide it. But I see no personal insult in what I said. Anyways on the topic of men's rights. I had this discussion on another board and in my opinion the man should be allowed to give input but the final decision should be with the woman because it is her body. And until someone figures out a way for a man to get pregnant (maybe scientists should get cracking), I think it should remain a woman's decision because it is her body.

Your view is too black and white. Your making statements that are absolutes not taking into consideration that every person's situation is different. What happened to you is what happened to you. Your life is your life. Your life is not the same as any other persons and what lead you to make your choice can not and should not apply to any other person. I don't see how my saying that is narrow minded. It's ridiculous that you think to apply your situation to every other woman who's every contemplated what to do with an unexpected, unwanted pregnancy.

No not really, you can say whatever you want and believe whatever you want. Just like I can feel that your full of crap. That's what's called an opinion, like you've been bringing up repeatedly.

When a person states an opinion as if it's fact, it seems to me that it does boil down to a discussion as to whether or not the person is wrong or right.

First, who said no one's respecting your views. I don't see anyone telling you to shut up or to quit talking, or blocking you from sharing your opinion. BUT a person can say what they think of it. Just because a person says something you don't like about an opinion you hold does not mean they are not respecting your opinion. I think your full of crap, but that's your prerogative. It's just unfortunately, your opinion is not something that can just be ignored and brushed off as just your opinion because people with your opinion are trying to force others who don't share that same opinion to do what THEY think is right. So I must say that in this discussion we really can't have a live and let live attitude against pro-lifers because they, by definition, want their choices to be forced on to those who don't agree with them.

Your too determined to make things cut and dry. You refuse to accept that different situations require different actions. You've decided on this one "fact" and your sticking to it no matter how absurd, and I find that sad.

Actually I wasn't talking about your story, I was actually thinking of one specific story at the time, but I have seen it way too often and it's absurd. And I don't mean Stockholm's, I mean the author writing like it's real and true love. Your story doesn't go along with what I was talking about because your talking about the physical body, but the not the person himself. That's not at all the same thing. I can't remember the name of the story I was talking about, but the main character was raped, quite viciously. And in the end went on to fall madly in love with the man who raped him. I ask you, how many rape victims do you know of, in real life, that go on to have a healthy and loving relationship with the person who raped them?

Do you really feel that you are so All-Knowing and All-Important that you can make that kind of decision for millions of women? Because I don't. I know I'm not all-knowing. I don't know the circumstances that leads of each decision and that's why I say that abortion should be legal so each woman can make her own personal decision. You saying that abortion should be made illegal because a few women use it as "birth control", in your words, is like saying that alcohol should be made illegal because a percentage chooses to abuse it. Or that driving should be made illegal, because some people speed and cause accidents. Do you really feel that the circumstances of your life should be dictated by the motives (or the perceived motives) of a few? And then there's the fact that abortion, in many cases, keeps a child from being born into a VERY undesirable situation. Bad parents, abusive parents, abusive situations, neglect, the foster care system, orphanages, physical and/or mental disorders, etc. Your whole statement implies that your looking at the situation from a very limited POV and not at all the circumstances that could lead a person to making the decision to have an abortion.

I think your discounting the damage a "twagic past" can do. Your describing it like it's nothing. The reason I dislike him is because of how far he's gone in his quest to avenge his clan, but I can understand his behavior. He's a screwed up guy. It's not an excuse, but it's a reason. As far as I can see there's no reason for Sakura's behavior other than life was too easy on her and she's a lousy person.

When I ask about how a person could possibly like her, I mean pre-time skip. There are a ton of people who loved her character to death before she, as you put it, "grew up". And I don't get it. She was a lousy person, plain and simple. And I just don't understand how anyone can like someone like that. But I guess it all goes back to the whole "nice guys finish last thing". For someone reason people in general seem to like horrible people.

I, for the life of me, just can not understand how anybody could possibly be a fan of Sakura. At least before the time jump, though even after the way she was before still holds weight. She was a pretty lousy person at the beginning of the series, the way she treated people and the way she behaved, and the reasons behind all of that. She's improved now, but how horrible she was before just hasn't gone away for me and I just can't understand how anyone could like her.

I agree. As much of an ass that I think Sasuke is, I still prefer him to Sakura. At least he has a reason for being a jackass.

Makes me think of the girl I saw on Oprah who claimed to have never, ever heard of Picasso. It was just a complete coincidence that she happened to paint in a very similar style. Except the painter girl was actually good.

I couldn't get through that, it was just painful. The story, the profile. Yikes. I really wonder why some people bother, that was just.......ugh. My mom has kids she's working with now who at this point are being taken back to the beginning and being taught what first graders are being taught. This author badly needs to do the same thing.

She bounces back and forth. Yesterday she sent me several messages going back and forth from nasty to nice-ish to nasty to nice. She sent me a last message claiming she never told her reviewers that I flamed her and that we should just let the whole thing go . So I come to one of two conclusions, either she is insane or she's attempting to prove that she can in fact take constructive criticism because several people called her on it.
