  1. BronxWench - You made my day! I wasn't expecting two more reviews, but I'm glad you enjoyed the read! I shall endeavor to keep intriguing you. I'm glad I could interest you in a fandom you weren't familiar with! If you ever do have the opportunity to watch the movie, bear in mind the script was written for teenagers, and it's not overly sophisticated. I'm attempting to "raise the bar." I loved the movie when I was a kid, and its focus on the specific "Universal Monsters" has, as an adult, raised so many "what if.."s on the other creatures of that group that were never addressed. I've got to finish the sheet I'm working on, but then I'll get to work on some writing!
  2. BronxWench - Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review! I truly appreciate it. And thank you for the praise. I'm always glad to know that someone enjoyed the story! I was a bit stuck with the last prompt (the scene I wrote felt forced thus I obliterated it), so unfortunately, I didn't make it in time for the deadline. But I do hope to manage that one adequately as well as the current prompt (in a fifth chapter, of course! ). I hope you continue to enjoy the story!
  3. DG - screen: That's the only place I got it on Comodo, and I didn't get it on any other browser (not even Chrome) - have it running off of Comodo DNS server. Not sure if Chrome's is different, but would think so, since not giving error there. Also, there's a function there to let you report back to them regarding the supposed malware.
  4. Thank you so much! I have adblocker on. They don't get revenue from me anyway. I don't block our ads here, but I will continue to block FFN ones as long as they continue to be largely unmoderated. I say largely, because apparently, they will delete someone out of Glee within two hours of being reported for plagiarism. However, report someone posting the entirety of HP7 on their site, and they do nothing.
  5. Hello again. Reviving this in the hopes that you'd all be willing to submit a report to the FFN admin mail support@fanfiction.com (if you have your e-mail server set up to allow you to click a link and send e-mail, that will populate everything for you - you should only have to click send ) The admins did delete her second profile where she continued her plagiarism, but they left the one attached to her homophobic, offensive, profane abuse. Anyone willing to help, all I'm asking is that you send the following: Just put some variation of "[ABUSE] Multiple profane reviews left" in the header field, if you please. You can sign it or not with your pen name; I'm not asking you to associate your account with the missive. I appreciate any assistance anyone is willing to offer in this. Thanks in advance! ~Rogue
  6. Oliver1234 was 15 when those stories were uploaded to the archive. None of the author's content was uploaded when of age, so the profiles were deleted completely from the archive.
  7. Her profile does still exist in the archive; but she has deleted her stories. Her forum profile does have IM contact info.
  8. The search engine will be upgraded. Right now, if the coder were to implement it, it would break the code and crash the site. That's why we haven't done that. Once she has found the issue and 'fixed' it, then it can be added in. I don't know what exactly it will allow, but I do know it's supposed to be far more flexible than what we have now.
  9. And therein it is no different than the rating system. It would still be abused - referring more on friends' stories thereby causing other stories to get ignored. We've even had cases of authors on site creating separate profiles in order to rec their own works, boosting their review counts leaving accolades, bumping rates, etc. You are correct that there is no perfect system. I do like the idea of knowing how many times a story has been recommended. I also like knowing the identity of those who recommended it - not because it outs their interests (because if I'm looking, I'm interested too, right?), but because I know I share interests in writing style and composition with some users that I don't share with others, even if we read in the same sections. I also know that if something's tagged BDSM and it's recommended by pittwitch, then it's got material in it that's reliable - because I know she knows her BDSM. Same with Bronx. But if it's recommended by someone whose BDSM stories have made me cringe and run for the hills due to their inaccuracies, then I know I'm probably not going to like it.
  10. Yes; it was posted when the user was 16 and had to be removed from the archive.

    Lakotagirl was removed for plagiarism.
  12. Debating leaving a review on the plagiarised copy of "My Immortal". Methinks this person missed the entire point of that story of mine they read...

  17. Okay, can she duplicate the error and then take a screen capture? That way we can see what the error message is.
  18. Wondering why users continually "like" their own posts. Redundancy much?

::pets:: Breathe. Mostly, you just have to want to write. I make not like everything I write, but I love to write. :D

  19. If they don't have anything listed on their profile, you can always leave a review asking the author if they're willing to implement an updates list.

  21. Schmetterling's archive and forum profiles. If you're a member of the forum, you can certainly PM them and ask about the story.
  22. No she is not allowed here, and as you are aware she is here, we do need you to provide us her name so that we can remove her account. Please PM the information to any of the staff members if you do not feel comfortable posting it in the forum.
