I don’t yet have stories up (soon, though), so I feel I can’t start talking about OCs without spoiling future stories.  If I start discussing Chloe versus Yua...well, that’s going to require knowing who Chloe is and it’ll spoil the hell out of Yua.
Are you getting in on this, though?  You’ve got a crapload of stories.

It’s the internet. We can have discussions like this. Obviously if you’ve already written yer OCs fighting you have an answer for them, but what about the ones who haven’t fought? What then? Who wins?

In my fics, I think the obvious choice is Loja, but that’s because he’s a god and can just rip anyones soul out of their body and stick it in a cockroach. But if we’re talking like human OCs, I think I’d put my money on Blackbird. He’s not the strongest, not the most skilled, but he’s a survivor, and he will fight fucking dirty.

Well, you did pretty damn good for a ‘fledgling’. And I didn’t see any issues with dialogue. It generally fit the mood of the story and flowed smoothly, so well done.

     Thank you for taking the time to guide this fledgling author.  I started writing the fic after hearing Soldier's Silent Night on the radio but quickly realized I didn't know how to handle the weighty topic and material.  I wanted to keep it short because I couldn't guarantee it'd be good.  The rant was written as a list of talking points to frame a conversation, but I suck at dialogue.  So it was either make a conversation on the matter the focus and ditch the lemon, or change the subject like a teen caught in a lie.  I went for the latter since the challenge is supposed to be fun and festive.

Well, to be honest, I used to write a lot more (ask @CloverReef, she’ll vouch for that…  lol), but in returning to university (and three English classes, because I’m a crazy bastard) and work (because… well, crazy bastard), which is essentially a new job with a different place in the same company (again, crazy...)…  I’ve been finding it harder to write in what amounts to spare time.  Writing at work (at least, writing stuff for here at work) is impossible, especially with fifteen people crowded around and writing some kinky fun time adventures with people not necessarily looking over the shoulder, but still clearly seeing it, just doesn’t work too well…  And essays and research and all that jazz, just drained the writing (lucky to have written anything for the anthologies), so much so that, even with classes being over and finals done, just haven’t been writing.  Albeit, did get some done yesterday and a little today, so…  YAY!  But, stress (not to mention a distinct hate for the season…  thank you, retail…), work, university…  They’ve all played a major factor in a lack of written word…

Tonight, Praetor joins the hunt…  That intro made more sense for the Halloween special.  Anyways, I am ready to elevate my status from one of the nameless lurkers to worst of the contributing bunch.  Behold!  The product of a Monster fueled writing session late in the night, inspired by a Christmas song I heard on the radio, research done hastily in the process on reddit, while also watching anime on Hulu.  Questionable and weighty issues are brought up, and then ignored because this is ultimately a senseless smut fic of dubious quality with a Holiday filter.  It was unasked for, it is unearned, and now, it is ready (as it’ll ever be) for consumption.

Halloween writing is enjoyable too simply because villains tend to get away with it too, and readers don’t know if the protagonist is going to win or lose.

Last year I worked during the holidays so I had a terrible writers block. Though I’m not writing nearly as much as I did around Halloween, it’s not for lack of time, and Halloween is special to begin with. I’m drawing a lot more than I have in years and arting in different mediums, though, so I think that still counts as being productive in our world. So I think I’m nicely snug between the two options. 

Thanks for the review.  It’s nice to have some stories that you can read.  (Well, I suppose you could relocate/travel to a different country….) 
I’ve definitely have made this world rich in context, with the USofA sliding into a theocracy (it’s not fully there in most of these stories).  So, it’s an era where priests have more authority than they currently do today.  So, I like Father Jordan as a character, simply because I’ve made him a bit richer in the personality.  A hypocritical and naughty priest, with a thirst for power and control.  Traits that flourish quite nicely in the world I’ve created (and scary in that we’ve got those traits with people in political office today). 
Hope (the santa’s preferred nickname) is another interesting character, and he/she shows up in other stories too, usually as a trucker with a colorful backstory.  In a bind, I’d definitely trust Hope over Father Jordan any day.
Fitz will continue to feel the guilt over this, it’ll still haunt him, his actions, but it’s slightly easier now.  He’ll still try to “make up” for it, as in he’ll be sending Jarred to the elite private school of the area.   Also, as a result of this incident, Hope and Rube are able to “recruit” Fitz to help with in the opposing cell-style resistance, despite his persisting homophobia, which Jarred will start to become aware of as he gets older.
Anyways, glad you enjoyed the story!  @CloverReef  was disappointed on the lack of deaths in this one … but that would’ve messed up some of my stories.

I realise I am necroposting the thread we all hated the necroposting about, but since that other user deleted all of their posts it looks like I am a) bitching out myself on page 1 and b) bitching out BW in this quote. Which clearly can’t have been the case as I yet live un-cursed and have not yet been dragged into the dark forest and never seen again.

It could still be our universe … I mean, it’s possible.  It’s mildly futuristic, so I’ve assumed a “genetics in a box” here, tuned for those markers of sexual orientation – there are spots in the chaptered stories where I refer to the “Great President (censored)”.  (Does that fuel your nightmares?)
I do like to bring the characters back, just like Mr. Baris in the previous story (he’s recurring too).  It gives continuity to the the universe and familiarity.   For this story, it’s backstory to something that gets alluded to in Dale’s Game, and would’ve been the subject of the final chapter if I didn’t accidentally end the story early (in fact, I kinda need to address that).
It was a fast/fun write, and not every story has death in it (things would get really stale if they did).  As I’m trying to make this a plausible/semi-realistic universe, deaths ought to be fairly rare things.

btw, I haven’t vanished.  I needed a break from originals, and have been working on my Harry Potter story, which I plan to work on until I need a break from it.  (btw, my main Potter story is on AO3 [adult] and FFN [clean], under the pen name “Dragon Voldemort”)
I did submit Halloween and two Holiday stories this year, so there is new material, in this universe.

He wouldn’t be able to take said anti-venom if he was severely hallucinating. Part of him is aware he’s infected its just the rest of the hallucination drowns it out.
Hahaha. Now I can’t wait till next holiday.

@JayDee Wouldn’t that be awesome if I thought ahead like that and gave Lacuna’s name some stealth reference? I should do that in my stories now. To be honest, I had another story where there was an Orc named Lacuna raiding/saving a noble elf that I wrote ages ago and never got past the first scene, but it was one of those fic starts where you can’t quite get it out of your head yet don’t know what to do with it. So I stole his name. Kinda a wink and a nod to a story that never was. 
Jeff and Marsha’s wishes are probably the two lines I’m most proud of. I think you are the only one who pointed them out so you get 10 Clover points for that. Thank you so much for the review!
