You should not need to create a new login, if your profile is still there. Please try to repeat all of the steps that the archive moderators suggested to you the last time this happened, such as clearing cookies and restarting the browser (sometimes a computer restart is also needed, I think) and then try again. Also, your archive profile is linked on your forum profile, so you should always be able to find it from your forum profile. Sorry, I can’t be of more help, but hopefully one of the archive mods will be around shortly to help you with this further.

    Since it needs to be repeated: If you know the piece of fiction that someone is searching for is removed from the site, but you retained a personal copy, please do not pass the story around. If the story is taken down either by the Author or Moderator staff there is a reason behind it that must be respected. Any further request or offers for copies will be deleted without notice.     It does not appear he did. His archive profile has been deleted it seems, and I can’t find any forum profile for that pen name.

    Finally decided to get healthy and start to drink more water… two litres of water and around 10 hours later, the news announces, the cold water is contaminated with soil bacteria, and we shouldn’t drink it… FOR FUCK’S SAKE!!!

      This is why it pays off to have a water cooler and a supply of water bottles at the ready. Wasn't it only the tap water that the warning was for? I never really drink tap water to begin with, so it's just having to make sure the water doesn't get in my eye, nose, ears, or mouth while showering for me, or rather paying extra care compared to usual.

    You can only publish stories that are your own stories, i.e. something that you wrote yourself. We do not allow the posting of stories written by someone else, and deleted.

    That is very strange since the forum and the archive are completely separate systems, but thank you for informing us. Our Tech admins appreciate getting information of this kind, so they can look into it. I am sure they will add it to the FAQ, if they can replicate the problem and it turns out to be a bug of some kind. Welcome to the forums.

    Yeah… that would be called plagiarism, and we do not take kindly to that on the Archive. And we do not allow people to ask others to plagiarise stories. If the original author of the story wants someone else to take it over, or create a continuation of the story, the Original Author needs to do that through the proper channels, and put the story up for adoption in our Adopt a Story forum, and make sure that the Archive Mods have the necessary information that they require to allow this. Once you have done that, I will pin this post for our head admin. Please be patient with us, since only our head admin can add categories, and she has been insanely busy with RL lately, so there might be a bit of a wait. If you have already written stories for this category, I think you can post them in the Misc. category of the appropriate archive, and just mark them with the name of the fandom. Also, it is not allowed to post stories written by others in the Archives, and if you’ve been given permission from the original author to use his story for a continuation, the archive mods are going to need to get that in writing from him/her.     Post the story to the archive, then create a review reply thread in the appropriate subforum, and there you can ask your readers (and other interested parties) to challenge you any way you want to. I think that’s the only option in this scenario. You can put a link to your review reply thread in an author note at the top or bottom of your story, to guide your readers to it. There you can also interact with readers who leave you reviews, etc.
