    You need an archive account to be approved for a forum account. If you are experiencing trouble creating an archive account, then please make a post in the Archive Tech support thread, and explain what happens when you try to sign up, in as much detail as you can, and one of the archive moderators will help you.     Oh, so you're having trouble signing up for the Archive? (That is Adult-fan fiction.org) If that is where you're having issues, then I'll move this to the archive tech support, and one of the archive mods will help you out. But again, the more details you can provide about the steps you are taking when trying to sign up and what happens, the easier it is for them to identify the problem. And there is no need for a forum account, when you sign up to the archive. They are two separate sites, and we only require an archive profile for signing up to the forum, but not the other way around. Willow Darkling, forum moderator.

    I’m not in charge of the validation of accounts here, but the first question is, do you have an account on our Archives? If the answer is Yes, then please provide us with as much detail as you can about what happens when you try to sign up, and our tech admin will (hopefully) be able to help you fix the problem. If the answer is No on the other hand, then that’s your problem. You need to have an Archive account to be approved for a forum account. I hope that helps. Willow Darkling, Forum Moderator.

      Mmm, you have a point, George. But this is more the “I’ve never...” bucket list. Another item on that list is “I’ve never broken a bone.” My plan is to keep that one on the list until I die. I just do not want to know how that feels. 

      But, at least now I know what the first signs of heatstroke feel like, and how to avoid getting it again. :D

      I’ve broken my arm and my big toe in separate incidents.  My toes I just left to heal on its own, but my arm was the shape of a Z so I couldn’t really leave that to heal on its own. lol

    Split this into a new topic, since there’s no need to resurrect a 5 year old post to ask this question. But, if I remember correctly, you need to input your birthday exactly as it’s shown in the example. So if your birthday is July 4th, 1776, you need to put it in as: 1776-07-04, with hyphens between. If that doesn’t work, please provide more details about what happens when you are trying to register, and one of the archive mods will help you when they are on. Willow Darkling, Forum Moderator.

    Hi there. I would really appreciate it if you could make it just a little bit clearer that you are asking for recs for Crossovers of Harry Potter with all of those anime, manga, TV shows, movies and books that you have listed here. It doesn’t have to be anything more than a line between the “Kinks I don’t read” paragraph, and the “Anime”, saying “Crossovers with...” or something like that. It’s just to avoid getting recs specific to all of the other stuff that you listed, with no connection to Harry Potter, since this subforum is specifically for Harry Potter.     Sorry, yes, it does seem that you need to be signed in to edit a post. The Edit button should be at the bottom of each post, next to the “Quote” button, but it seems that Guests cannot edit their posts. Sorry, I had forgotten about that restriction. Willow Darkling, Forum Mod.

    This is the same site, it was just a change of domain name. But, the problem may be that you did not re-validate your account after the change. I vaguely remember that we all had to do that, when the domain name was changed. I’m only the forum mod, and that lovely whooshing sound is all this tech stuff going right over my head DemonGoddess can help you further with this though, since she is our head tech admin, so please wait for her to get back to you on this matter.

      I feel horrible saying this, but thankfully it wasn’t me this time, but the boy sitting next to me. He managed to slice into the side of his finger about 1/3 of an inch, all the way through from front to back. The doctor at the health center sent him to hospital to get stitches. It was kind of horrifying, and I’m still cringing.
