Oddly enough, a general increase in traffic and new members. Also with the improved archive search, more people getting to what they are looking for faster and easier.

As I track my hits on a daily basis (or more), I’ve noticed a sharp increase in the counts post upgrade. (Going from maybe 1-2 per day to dozens on some stories.) Software bug? Bots now cruising the pages?

Am I actually able to review this? I think I am. I never thought this dinosaur of a site would ever be updated. Well, guess that means I need to find time to reread this update. Been too long to give a proper review. Just leaving this to say that I read the chapter just days after you put it out. I enjoyed it, had a full review. Could not put it up. This site drove me mad. None of the password recover systems work, this forum wouldn’t let me post, I couldn’t make a new account. Seriously was going to add a part begging you to post on a different site. They got an update though? Not too hopeful, but we’ll see. I’ll try to be back with a proper review soon.

Hello everyone! I apologize for it being a while since my last post and I wanted to let you all know that I am okay. As a quick update on things, just wanted to let everyone know what has been going on. Right around the holidays, my wife and I got rear-ended. We’re both okay but the car was totaled. Normal stuff, honestly (maybe not that normal, but not life threatening) but it was one of those things that really shook me. Shook me enough that when I sat down to write the next chapter, the words just did not come. I couldn’t explain it other than a lot of joy in simple things simply went away. I have been taking a little bit of a break to get myself back to where I need to be. I’m still going to continue, don’t worry! I am not planning on just abandoning the story. But I was in a rather bad place mentally and I’m getting myself back to where I need to be. I hope all of you are doing okay and you’re being safe with this really crappy weather. I miss you all and I appreciate you all so much for your support over all this time. I will be back as soon as I can. I love you all. Joe

Hey...good to hear from you also. Losing sleep will continue even when they’re all grown and having kids of their own – trust me on that. Pay back comes when you get to spoil their kids. Good to hear the family is doing well. Had to laugh...that idea sounds like me. Gives a whole new meaning to getting shit done though. As always, Lead the Way!

Hi LHunt, always good to hear from you. The youngest are still keeping us up overnight, but what can you do? The fingers are lumbered up and I have a plan. I've realised that the only time I'm left alone each night is before bed on the toilet, so I've ordered a small Chromebook to type on and plan to use that time productively to write a little each night.

In helping people sort this out, something I found was that users with iPhones and such, had to clear browser cache in ALL their devices, as they are linked. Asked the user what he did differently to be successful, and it was that.

You're so lucky. I really wish I could re-read it too. Finding that story was such a pivotal part of my coming to terms with who I am. Its a shame that its all but disappeared, though I understand from another post on this forum that the author gave the go-ahead for anyone with a copy of the story to make it available again as she lost her own copy when she took it down.

It’s freezing here in southwest Missouri with snow on the ground, but our neighborhood hasn’t lost power...yet. Tomorrow is supposed to be round two of this nonsense. Cold’s vehicle doesn’t handle cold well, so he’s bundling up like he’s bound for the arctic and walking to work. Heiferlump, meanwhile, is determined to crawl inside my skin to sap all the warmth from my corpse, and let me tell you, that cat has cold toes. Those toes are also equipped with unfailing nipple-seeking stomping hardware, and I have the bruises to prove it. Naturally, I’ve held her up to the window circle-of-life style a few times so she can cuss out starlings on the feeder.

We’re having trouble with our furnace. 🥶 The thing would crap out right in the middle of a once-in-a-decade snowstorm. I’ve tried threatening it with the sledgehammer treatment, but with a windchill in the double digit negatives and snow drifts up to my calves, it called my bluff. Cold is coming to hate the nickname he chose. 🤭 Fortunately, we haven’t had any sleet yet, and it hasn’t warmed up enough during the day to melt the snow, so for once, we don’t have ice on the roads.
Stay warm, and BronxWench, give the pooch some scritches for us!

That may just be the cutest thing I’ve seen in ages. 😂 So much chaos in such a tiny body, and that little grin is perfection!
The furnace is working again, thank heavens. I was about to turn into a Ghost-sicle. Apparently telling the company it’s pushing 40° and you can’t breathe when it’s colder than 50° gets someone on the job fast. (It’s true, too. My inhaler has been getting used hard and put away wet for the last week.)

I can’t access the site at all. Have been trying for days. Is anyone else having this issue? After clicking the 18+ button, it stays on screen and never disappears. Doesn’t matter the browser. No pop up blocker.

In my 2013 Phineas and Ferb fanfic “Candace’s Perfect Body,” there’s a scene wherein Dr. Doofenshmirtz captures Perry the Platypus by trapping him inside a wool sweater and then using a huge blow dryer on it to make the sweater shrink around him. Tonight, I watched an episode of the recently revived Phineas and Ferb in which Doofenshmirtz traps Perry exactly that way.
I’d love to think that the writers got the idea from me, but honestly, they’ve used so many different Perry-traps over the years that this coincidence seems like a statistical inevitability.

That’s a hoot! And I know the feeling. Some years ago, in my TMNT WIP, I wrote a scene in which Vern, having been approached by Dunkin Donuts for brand sponsorship, lost out on the chance because he threw away an empty cup from another coffee company in the lobby. Then, last year, I think, guess who showed up in Dunkin commercials? The actor who played Vern in the film adaptions I based my story around. My brain straight up broke. Sometimes we have to wonder if just the right people have come across our scribblings and decided something didn’t sound too bad.

I was having a bit of a discussion recently about feature creep with these things, how you gotta draw a line and say no, not exploring that, it’s already X words let’s just get it finished! You could always save it for a “Domme Maria Side Story” oneshot 😛 There’s something about NYC isn’t there? I went myself, years ago. Looking out from the Empire State Building viewing deck, or out over the water at the statue of liberty, or the Brooklyn Bridge, or Time’s Square, or a guy with his pants around his ankles shooting up in Washington Square Park… it’s all so much like the movies it is unreal. They’re doing a bang up job of preserving it from the pictures I saw! It’s great for a city to have some good public spaces like that. The ghost’s originally from an earlier time, right? Been a while since I read the first parts. Must have been a hell of a nice surprise to find porn didn’t have to be cheap books or woodcuts! Oh, yeah, absolutely! There’s a buncha stuff you can do in stories or even with special effects or whatever in shows that doesn’t fly in real life. Was just a random thought tbh, I probably shouldn’t even have mentioned it. Saving the best for last – a fine tradition! Will get onto the next chapter as soon as I have enough free time.

Easy to do, and hopefully was an easy fix! Unlike that time I added an extra space to some code and, long story short, there’s a piece of land nobody can walk on for millions of years until the background radiation drops.
