  1. Well, some tags are pretty much staples on AFF (ie, oral, HJ, solo) that I was kinda surprised that they were individually listed. Others, like scat, are ones I don’t typically write, but I’ll list as questionable because of some of the crudeness to my writing style, more there as CYA. Tags breed like rabbits. And as I’m one who’ll apply minor1 for kids running around naked, I quickly realized it was impossible to avoid with my setup. So, for instance, the Repair Guy, because that fit, I wrote it as Minor1 (NoSex).
  2. Tags, to some degree, can also be spoilers for the story, especially if they get super refined. (ie, MCD + Drowning) I’ve been experimenting with putting the significant/major/important tags into the summary, and all the tags into the top of the story. So far, I like it, because it’s less intimidating to a reader while also properly warning them and I can also qualify my tags, if appropriate.
  3. You’re more than free to add in new tags…. [vore] from above is a candidate, though that topic was starting to get a bit on the well done side, charred broiled was more like it.
  4. Feds already have my details… Nope, never had brain curry, but I did have chicken curry for dinner.
  5. While I may be a bit on the fatty side, I thinking I’m a bit too tough for your palate. Now, I do know of a bunch of brainless idiots just up the river (Potomac) from me, those may be more to your liking.
  6. @KassX What’s your taste in friends like?
  7. Especially when you consider history and the rights of women. What’s considered rape today (informed consent) is a stricter definition of rape than was common in earlier eras. (ie, presumed consent in a marriage.)
  8. As a whole, I’m pretty conservative on tagging too, so much so that I started to really worry at one point that I was scaring away an awful lot of readers over a “maybe”. So I divide the tags into two groups 1) strong/significant, and 2) weak/maybes/infrequent. First group goes into the summary; and both go into the top of the story where I can qualify the tag, as necessary. For instance, if it’s just a conversation about rape, it’d be like “rape (discussion)”.

I tried catching all four digits at 5 and 6, but my luck had me catching the counter right before and right after.  This time, I managed to catch it right on the nose :)   Certainly, don’t slow down reading/viewing just to accommodate this, I definitely like seeing the dragon prints going upward.

  10. Why is this conversation starting to make me feel hungry?
  11. Dreams are a great way to explore a character’s mind, wrapping up their fears, their hopes, or just to have a not-so-serious fun time.
  12. It’s a story that took a fair stab at going through the tags.
  13. There was shit in the scene too, earning the [scat] tag.
  14. Yep, and I felt disgusted with the perpetrator, so yeah, effective.
  15. This tag just means the plot to justify the porn is still under construction …
  16. I challenged myself to Nec for the last halloween story, and I think I used it with great effect, enhancing the horror aspect to the story.
  17. Weird, I didn’t expect that getting the ashes back would help, but it is, a bit.  Obviously, I wish I had the living cat instead, just a subtle measure of peace.  He’s on the table that I’ve used as a desk for years, appropriate because he used to lay/nap underneath it a lot.

They (the vet) did bring him out right afterwards, I went along with it, so I did spend a few minutes afterwards, he was still fairly warm.  I didn’t know how long to spend, apart from grieving and apologizing, wishing for it to change.  It was tough, because an hour earlier, I was assessing his condition, with some interaction, not realizing that’d be the *last* interaction I’d really have with him.  At least I was trying to save him, even though I didn’t make it fast enough (unfortunately, there’s no pet-ambulance around here).

I know what it's like to grieve a pet. My stepfather's doberman was buried in the back yard after she died. We didn't even get the chance to bring her to the vet. He found her outside already dead. I still miss her a lot. I give my condolences. It's really hard, especially the first few days or weeks after losing them.
