Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

To be honest, I like all HP books, all for different reasons. But the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone holds a special place; it was the first one I've read and the one which turned me into a HP fan. It was magical, with Harry discovering that he is a Wizard and going to Hogwarts.

I picked PoA because it opened the up sooo many possibilites and Sirius/Remus's characters. But then again, I also liked HBP because Albus is smoked, and Harry's got enough angst to fill several more books.

Deathly hallows spoiler:

SPOILER :
btw, why the hell didn't Harry name one of his kids after Sirius?!

I picked Deathly Hallows, because, as Poly said, it answered many many questions that I hadn't even thought of asking. But, a very close second is PoA... if for no other reason than it contains one of my favorite bits in the entire series;

"Where is Wood?" said Harry, suddenly realising he wasn't there.

"Still in the showers," said Fred. "We think he's trying to drown himself."

And the muses went wild! laugh.gif Still working on that one btw.

Oh and ZD... in answer to your questions

SPOILER :
Because Sirius was a self absorbed prat. That's why. wink.gif

I voted for GoF. It was the first book that actually managed to surprise me (the whole Mad Eye Moody was really Crouch Jr. - didn't see that one coming), and the first one that I thought was the best book so far.

I voted Deathly Hallows.....I enjoyed it a lot and if I had to re-read any of them (which I've done for 1-4) It'd be DH.

I think that the fact it kind of tied up the entire series made it my favorite.

Nan, I'm sure you meant to write Crouch, Jr. tongue.gif

True... But he was Sirius Black! How mean of J.K. not to include him in any way

I agree Nan. GoF is my favorite as well, then DH, then HBP. Of the series, I think my least favorite would have to be CoS.

SPOILER :
I wonder if Krum is going to return in the DH movie, too?  drool.gif

SPOILER :
But he was included. The scene with the Resurrection Stone when Lily, James, Lupin and Sirius walk Harry into the woods. I'd say that's being included.

laugh.gif True. Very, very true

Hopped the OotP bandwagon, but I think HBP is runner-up. I loved the expansion on Draco's character and the omfg!ending.

Totally agree.

SPOILER :
Besides, Severus sure lived up to my expectations

I voted for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Because Harry seemed to be the most happiest at the end of the book.

I voted DH, it may just be post reading euphoria but I loved it. It made me cry, but I got what I wanted at the end! I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more of a certain character, or a defining moment or something, but I still loved it anyway.

help.gif I picked The Half Blood Prince because it showed me more of Draco and all the help he really needed in one way shape form or another. He wanted help but could not ask for fear of what would happen. So who do you ask? The person who is your head of house and death eater, the headmaster whom you are to kill? He really had no one to really trust. Except for Moaning Myrtle. help.gif

I also voted for Half-Blood Prince, but my reasoning was a bit different. I am, at heart, a died-in-the-(black)wool Snape fan. blush.gif
