What did the residents of Jefferson County, West Virginia ever do to you to deserve such a comparison?

I've not replied in reviews mostly because I have assumed someone has posted and unlikely to come back again, but on occasion where somebody has had an email address in profile I have emailed a reply. (As opposed to the always hidden email section of the profile, some have emails in stories/the text area of profile) It does seem to be quiet common for users with a firm oft-returning readerbase to do it though, so I don't see problems if it works for folks!

Hi, this story was originally intended to be a oneshot story. I Then wrote a second part some time back and both of these received generally positive reviews. Somebody suggested another part with Ruth Powers, but I did not consider it until I recently re-watched the muscle woman episode (Strong Arms of the Ma). I then decided to do a third part which would be as final as could be. The final part is just over 4000 words long. I think the others are around 1500-2500 or so each. Please if you like the story as described below would you go and read it. Hi there, As the forum PM system does not like the rename tokens, I have registered a new account in the name JayDee which is close to my two letter pen-name of JD. If this is okay, then when the JayDee account is authorised by the forum system/moderation team, can I have enough time to copy my banked naughty points over to the new account (say, two or three days with timezones as they are and maybe not getting back on) and then just have this account (JoanDoe) deleted, as I won't need to use it any more and it'll save people accidently emailing this one instead of the other? Thanks for your help with this, apologises if I should not have registered the new account.

That's the second time somebody has raised that as an issue. I've renamed my account back to the correct name, see if it makes a difference in future. I might look into registering a new forum account as 'JayDee' and simply stop using Joandoe. Having my post count drop from 71 to 0 won't be the end of the world! Edit - Eh, I've gone ahead with registering the new account. Won't have access until(if) it is approved, and then I'll get stop using this one.

I remember GAFF when the point of the forums was to be funny. It wasn't about serious reviews or constructive criticism or even, in any real sense, being fair to writers or stories. This was a long time ago. Back at a place called voyboards, and maybe the early orangey boards. And yes, it would be cruel and occasionally pretentious but generally, very, very, funny. Then it was kind of... the funny users mostly drifted away, about three score 4channers joined up, and the rest were 14 year olds writing in depth critiques about why someone else from their obscure or not so obscure fandom was just the worst ("This anime character would never consider this anime character as a snugglebuddy!")- without a single damn joke. Many of the 14 year olds would also have a proud link to their own fanfiction story page, where you could see they themselves had hundreds o badly written tosh. See, the point of the porn without plot reviews was that they could be side splittingly hilarious if handled by somebody with a sense of humor. There was one of Superjizz' stories got a review that I damn near wet myself reading. I figure at least half of the reviewers/readers back then were still masturbating furiously over the stories, but they took 'em apart for the cruel amusement of all concerned. Then the too-young crowd was all over the place and they just figured "pr0n = ick" ...and now it seems that even the over-ernest reviewers have gone, with very few new reviews being posted, and the forum exists purely as a site for people to talk about what random shit, like any other general 'net forum or start threads just to post some livejournal level opinion of no interest even to their friendslist. And that's why I hardly visit these days and can't recommend the place. No sense of humour any more.

Jaxxy, given the same story is linked, and similar comments made re: TOS, could the person who emailed you be the same guest posting on the forum here? looking for 'open dialogue? Also, I suspect they have mis-understood your TOS, as they don't seem to understand it is users who need to demonstrate a belief that nothing is offensive/obscene to use the service, or else not use the site?

I originally wrote these up for another forum over a couple of months, and decided it wouldn't hurt to re-post here. I figured I'd also be best keeping my requests/suggestions in one thread, as that way it's easier for people to avoid them - given the nature of the kind of thing I read/write being somewhat, uh, niche. Request #1 Marvel Comics: Marvel: Ruins Up there in the top five most depressing superhero comics ever... Bit of an old one now, too. High quality art though. Anyway, in Ruins Jean Grey had a cameo as a hooker and tried to get business from Nick Fury and Phil Sheldon. Nick Fury shot her dead instead. I would like to suggest a story where he fucks her first (Marvel MAX 'Fury is a great big whoremonger' style) and then shoots her to avoid paying. The total hopelessness of both characters in the Ruins universe would allow for good examination of the self disgust they both seemingly feel, expanded during the act to the point of murder. Plus, I find the idea of Jean Grey as a twenty dollar street whore totally hot. Request #2 Another request based on an infamous comic: DC Comics - Warrior #42 Long ago and far away, DC Comics decided that there was only room for one proper Green Lantern, the often awesome Kyle Rayner (Well, I like him!). So Guy Gardner, after a bit of dossing around, discovered he had himself alien heritage and could grow weapons out of his body. Became Warrior. You probably know that if you've read this far. Anyway, Warrior #42 was the "Gal" Gardner issue, in which Guy's then-foe Dementor - a big chunk of snot lookin' thing with tentacles - turned him into a woman. An incredibly hot woman. And had him parade around in various outfits including one panel of a maid's uniform. Now I've jogged your memory of Guy Gardner's transsexual escapade, my request: Please can somebody write a story where Dementor took a further step in his humiliation of "Gal" Gardner by raping her, forcing her to apparantly enjoy it, filming it all, and then putting the footage on the internet (or, this being early nineties, sending a copy to the Daily Planet, Galaxy Broadcasting etc?) Maybe even end it with "Gal" Gardner forced into prostitution with Dementor as an incredibly un-superfly pimp daddy? That's my request. Thank you for your time and consideration. DC Comics - Shadowpact In one of the issues of the now finished Shadowpact, Detective Chimp was shown searching the internet for furries so he could try to get a little action, as there weren't any super intelligent female chimps around. I'd like to suggest a story where he ends up hooking up with fellow Shadowpact member Nightshade instead - maybe also a threesome with Shadowpact's occasional guest, uh, star Rex the Wonder Dog? I recall somebody suggesting to Detective Chip back during the Day of Vengeance miniseries that Nightshade was in to him, and he shot it down because she wasn't a chimp. However, he'd only been sober a couple of days then (as I think he told Black Alice's father) and maybe wasn't thinking straight - also, the fact he was later on the internet looking for furries shows a change of heart. (...I bet Guy Gardner never needs to trawl the internet for girls. Shadowpact superheroes just don't get any respect...) Yeah, but it's not really accurate to describe an episode like Spock's Brain as Classic. I for one can't do it without laughing. That's one case where TOSS is more accurate than TOS....

Re: Marvel - I don't know of many comics fans who would use 'Marvel Family' in most contexts to refer to Marvel Comics' various Captain Marvels (Mar-Vell, Monica Rambeau et al) or Marvel Comics itself, but if there is room for confusion then the category for DC would surely be some variation on 'Shazam!' rather than 'Captain Marvel'- as this has featured in the titles of most of DC's Marvel Family comics, for Billy, Mary, Freddy and the rest. Only Marvel Comics has the right to market a comic with the title 'Captain Marvel' See here for why. As a kind of extra test of public opinion, Wikipedia deals with 'Marvel Family' as the DC comics/original Fawcett Comics versions of all the characters with no mention of Marvel Comics - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Family - and if there was room for confusion then the nerds who edit the damn thing would surely have set it as a disambiguation page by now.
