After all, it could be the way Hel thinks of things, and similarly when there’s the mention near the end of part 2 of the warship having IBMs – was this meant to be ICBMs or is there an IBM weapon I didn’t know about? (I had an image of it showing up with some old 386s running Doom, although IBM have made much more than that) Techincally one doesn’t have to put the C. I’ll fix it

    See, I didn’t know that, s’why I asked :)

I looked into it after you mentioned it, found this – https://www.grammarphobia.com/blog/2017/12/icbm.html  and I gotta say it’s pretty funny they changed from IBM to ICBM within a year because of nerds making the same mistaken association I did –

A: The original abbreviation for “intercontinental ballistic missile” was indeed “I.B.M.” (with dots), and some standard dictionaries—Merriam-Webster Unabridged, for example—still include both “IBM” and “ICBM” as the abbreviations.

The earliest example we’ve found for either initialism (an abbreviation that’s spoken as letters) is from the July 27, 1954, issue of the Birmingham (AL) News:

“In the year 1960, by the agreed estimate of the Pentagon’s official analysis, the Soviet Union will fly its first intercontinental ballistic missile. That missile, or I.B.M. as the experts call it, will be an accurately guided rocket, comparable to a giant V-2, capable of carrying a hydrogen warhead over a range of 4000 to 5000 miles.”

The earliest example for ICBM that we’ve seen (from the May 30, 1955, issue of Newsweek) explains why the longer term is more common today:

“The Air Force is now calling the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile the ICBM instead of the IBM. Too many people got the missile confused with International Business Machines Corp.”

IBM corp wins the day! Always worth knowing something new.

Current number of dragon prints is 2463...

It’s a toss up as to whether it’s 1200 extra people who thought it too fuckawful to review, or one person going back that many times in disbelief at the sheer amount of typos.

    Re: “Monsters”

Making it a comedy seemed too predictable; I’m sure someone (or many someones) have done a tentacle-monster-gets-raped comedy already. I thought it would be more interesting to go the other way with it.

BTW, if you want to see my attempt at a rape comedy, check out “A Little Goes a Long Way.”

Definitely an interesting way to go about it -I hope it didn’t seem like my thoughts were negative/critical on the theme – I’ve written gangrape stuff myself after all!– but a testament to your writing skills in making the tentacle monster really sympathetic! I’ll have a look at the other one at some point, possibly not today :)

    You have mental problems guy

That feeling when you have to go back 14 years and five pages of Simpson stories to find a Bart/Lisa story you haven’t yet messily defiled yourself over and the author has wasted your arousal by having them at 18 and 20 instead of what gets you going and so, one handed, angry but resolute, you leave your feedback. Then, finding your edge again, you continue back further, ever further, to the old archives on stuttering servers, bytes dying, looking for the very earliest Simpsons smut, where Smithers was still black.

...thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!

Chun-Li I expected, but Satsuki is a pleasant surprise. It occurs just how bewilderingly strange her character must be to anyone who hasn’t watched KLK themselves (for instance, they might not know that her transformed appearance is this), so, why would you say she was your favourite? Just out of curiosity.

Just quietly badadss, then much more actively badass when called for. Also the way her attitude is compared to some of the others. Just interesting to see I guess!

Wow, you really had to work for that one, didn’t you, @JayDee?

If I can’t finish stories anymore at least I can still do over-labored garbage jokes!

Yeah, that one was IBD’s idea, and a good one too. Though it does occur to me now that I never actually figured out an explanation for how Chun-Li can do that within the logic of the story. Nor do any of the other characters react to it. Shame, would’ve been fun for Kyle to jump out of his skin when Chun-Li does it here.

There was a lot of distracting stuff going on at the time, so it’s easy for us readers to assume any discussion about it happened ‘off camera’ while the in-room scrap was happening. Still, I suppose it could have had a call back later, like Kyle getting a hand job and then remembering the energy blasted from those hands.

I couldn’t put it in here cause the site is too ancient to support actual images, but in the original version of this (where all the characters were accompanied by a picture or illustration of what they were supposed to look like, as well as a few others) it was accompanied by this picture by artist spaghettibastard that I thought did a good job of getting across the atavistic terror Night Eyes experiences at this moment, seeing this thing.

Hey! We had websites with images in 2003! Ain’t that long ago. Kinda slow, for the folks still on 56k or less dial up, but they were there! I think AFF just doesn’t support direct linking to avoid all the dead link issues. That is some pretty darn creepy art.
