  1. I'm agreeing there. It takes some time and maturing to learn this. Speaking from experience, as an example, I used to think that Romeo and Juliet was like the most romantic story ever written. As someone with a bit more time and experience under her belt, I realize it's not and I'm actually rather disgusted by it and how some people think death is the solution to being without someone you love. Many times you outgrow this kind of thing with experience but, sadly, some never do. And I also agree with the fact that D/s, M/s, whatever you want to call it, stories that are well written are hard to come by. The relationship in those aren't, in reality, what most portray them as in stories. There is a major trust issue involved in them that very rarely is shown in the stories. And the top isn't just doing it to be a complete and utter asshole. It's far more involved and complex than that but most can't seem to get that across in a story.
  2. That is not happening. There is only one being that is able to do that, the head admin. Since she has more than enough on her plate and the rest of the mods are so backlogged with what needs done on a regular basis with not enough bodies to go around it's not feasible to even attempt it. Since removing reviews is a standard on most big sites (even ff.net is promising it) there would be a backlash to kingdom come if we did it.
  3. LMAO! One snarky asshole to another, i agree but it needs to be taken in context. Let's face it, to deal with reality we all need to be snarky assholes to an extent, some of us have just lifted to a higher art form than the moronicus stupidic's we are talking about that pull these stunts.
  4. There is that old theory of the 'bad boy' and how girls just fall for them left and right. Unfortunately, it turns out to be true much of the time. The more of a snarky asshole you are, the more you tend to get females dying to date you and spread their legs. I think, honestly, it's something you have to grow out of and learn that you deserve better. But, sadly, many never do. Look at the legions of women that fall all over serial killers (Richard Rameriez-the Night Stalker, got married in prison, Ted Bundy fathered a child in prison, the list goes on and on) and people like Scott Peterson and the Menendez brothers. They have more women than they know what to do with despite the fact that they are stone cold killers and not what any beings would deem nice people. It's a similar vein of thought process there.
  5. The problem was that you were demanding reviews in your story. You were sent a notice on Sept 10th about the issue. Since it wasn't fixed the story was hidden on Sept 19th. As the issue was still not resolved after that the story was finally deleted on Oct 17th. You can reupload the story and there won't be a problem as long as you don't have the review demands in it or anything else that is a violation of TOS.
  6. The story was deleted on 10/17/10 On 8/24/10 you were sent a notice about an author's note that was in excess of the allowable limit via e-mail. When no action was taken to correct the issue the story was hidden on 9/15/10. After that no action was taken to correct the issue so on the 17th it was deleted as we specified in the e-mail sent.
  7. There is a full chapter there now so there's nothing that can be done.

  13. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Since Skye and I have both been affected by this disease through a close relative, we put our heads together and thought, for October, we would do a couple things to raise awareness about the disease since AFF is a site that is frequented mostly by women. We also realized that, sadly, most on here have been affected by this disease in many ways, either through themselves, relatives or friends so info is always something everyone can use. Let’s start with some facts here… ALL women are at risk for breast cancer, no matter your age. Though men get it too, it’s rare. However, if you are older, you have more of a risk than younger women do. Here are some basic facts from the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org Though they are scary stats in some cases, the thing is if you catch it early, your chance of survival increases. That means early detection is the key. There are several things that can be done to detect it early Breast self exams are a VERY important tool in helping catch things early. Though they aren’t as effective as things like mammograms and other tests, they can alert you to changes in your breasts that could easily be a warning sign. It’s recommended that every woman out there do a self exam once a month, starting in their 20’s. Below is a youtube link that shows you how to do a self exam… You, more than anyone else, know your body and what is normal and what isn’t. Doing a breast exam once a month allows you to know what they feel like so that if something out of the ordinary is there, you will be able to feel it then get to the doctor. No, most lumps are NOT cancerous, they are benign and harmless, but it’s ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS better safe than sorry! According to the American Cancer Society (http://www.cancer.org ) women in their 20s and 30s should have a breast exam as part of a regular check up by a health care professional every 3 years. Starting at age 40, women should have one every year. Women age 40 and older should have a mammogram every year. Those at greater risk, for various reasons such as genetics, family links, other risk factors, should get both an MRI and a mammogram every years. Beyond that, there are ways to help. You can help raise awareness of the need for funds and the prevalence of it through many wonderful originations in the US, Canada as well as around the world. The Race/Run for the Cure (depending on the country as to what it’s called) is just one of those things that help raise awareness and money. Many sell things like pink ribbons and other things that help raise awareness and funds for research as well as things like support for family to help through the rough time while they deal with it. Those always need a helping hand and funds. On this thread, if you wish, you may add the names (first only, please) or titles (like mom, aunt, cousin, etc) and their relationship with you as a way to honor those that have dealt with this in a way that is personal to you. Just remember ladies, feel them boobies! It is something that could very well save your life. 14. To do that all you have to do is set up a thread here on the forum for that then post the link in your stories and say go here for review replies. That's what we suggest to do.
  15. I only know of two of those. There is Forbidden Love I've not read that one so I don't know how good it is. There is also Sesshomaru's Princess This one is not an exclusively Inupapa/Inuyasha pairing but there is a large chunk about that at the end of it. However, be advised to read the authors extensive warning before going it. It's not a joke and this story is NOT for everyone.
  16. If you can't find anyone better, I'll do it for you. You can e-mail me at Danyealle@Gmail.com so we can start working it out.
  17. There are several different name generators online. Why not try one of those? Just type in the kind of name you want (like Japanese, Elven, Vampire, etc.) generator and you'll find dozens. They are invaluable.

  22. I got this in the e-mail a few days ago from a young lady doing a paper for a class about fan fiction. It's legit, i promise. It's a short survey she wants from fan fiction readers and writers to help with her paper. So, if you have the time, why not give her a hand and fill it out. It's short and only takes a couple minutes with no real personal questions other than your age bracket.

  24. These i'm going to let DG look at and let her decide what to do with them.
