I happen to know it too well, unfortunately. It happens to be true.

One good thing about AFF: It's never boring. So far I've read everything posted on this historic event and find myself still in the dark. I hope that more elaboration would happen. AFF is my favorite site by a large margin and I hope that all will be well.

The two stories below are a "must read for a slash fan" in my book:

Pretty cool. Being mentioned in Time is a dream for so many businesses, because it's a highly respected publication. And AFF got there not even trying. I like the neutral tone of the article and the fact that it was posted in Business and Tech, not Entartainment. The article mentioned The Siege of Thebes from 1421, which validates fan fiction even more. Times when non-mainstream things become more acceptable are accompanied by words like "phenomenon" and historical findings of proof that the "phenomenon" has existed for ages. I wonder why they didn't mention the Bible as the oldest known fanfiction... I'm kidding, hehe! I did wonder about the same thing as Ninja, the link posted by Eve sure explained a lot. Makes me wonder what info my ISP is willing to share with "affiliates" and what happens to on-line applications and surveys. According to quantcast, I belong firmly to addicts minority responsible for majority of visits. I wonder if traffic to the site increased any since the article was posted (Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007). We didn't crash yet

I voted Claudius. Even though Sex was the one to unleash the power and save the unconchious Claudius from death. For some reason, I like the idea of totally illogical twist, like Sex would win the battle and MAKE Claudius the Head of the House of Assassins, and in doing so assume control over both. Not quite sure how that could be explaned if it happened this way.

I was going through the Snape/Hermione archive today and checked a review board on one of the older stories, Published [2004-04-16] -:- Updated [2005-02-28 00:00:00] Here is the last review on this board: Megan 2007-08-08 id # 3000128022 I really like this story alot. Can you please write some more chapters? The review before this one was a normal one, left by other person on 2006-08-27. "Megan" has to be a bot. EDIT: I am still going through the section and here is another one: Megan 2007-06-30 id # 3000113805 I really like this story alot. Can you please write some more chapters? That story was Published [2004-01-12] -:- Updated [2004-03-19 00:00:00] A few posts above there is: Megan Consoer (Email Hidden) 2006-06-20 id # 3000013587 I really like this story alot. HP Snape/Hermione The latest addition to 1000revvs: The entire Harry Potter section was looked through and here are the results on Harry Potter 1000 Reviews Club: The Club currently includes 5 stories written by 5 authors: 0.027% of all HP fiction 0.006% of all HP authors Main pairings included: Hermione - 3 times Harry - 2 (3 times now) Draco - 2 Snape - 2 Fenrir - 1 Out of "Golden Trio" Hermione seems to be the most popular, with Harry being second (Harry tied with Hermione now) and Ron... well didn't make it. Draco and Snape made it, but Lucius didn't Fenrir Grayback just made it with addition of "Sweet Puppy"

500 is not impossible, but would be pretty hard. Personally, I don't have a goal to have so many. One of my all time favorite stories on AFF got only 30 reviews with 6 chapters. It's a little masterpiece, in my opinion. I do find multichapter fics interesting; how do they write so many chapters without loosing readers? The least number of chapters in the 500 Club was 12 so far, that fic is about to hit 1000, which is mind boggling, to say the least. And the story is about a very uncommon and not popular HP pairing. To be honest, looking at those fics makes me want to get off my lazy ass and write some more, hehe.
