  1. Category name: Pandora's Tower Section category to be in: Games (M through R) Do you have any stories for it?: Yep. Only one at the moment, of course.
  2. I agree with you in theory, sure. But this isn't someone, say, posting a Doctor Who fic in the Final Fantasy section. That would be obviously wrong. This isn't obviously wrong. Pokémon is primarily a videogame series. It makes sense that Pokémon fic ought to be posted in the Games section. Going to Anime to post videogame fic is incredibly counterintuitive. Sure, you can blame people for posting a fic in a section that's obviously wrong. But just deleting a fic without a word of warning because it's posted in what seems to be the obviously correct place for it is just... that's just not right. Because, in this case, it's not the writer that's at fault, it's the site's obscure design (because, really, if you write a videogame fic, why would you go to Anime to check if it should be posted there instead of where all the videogame fic goes?).
  3. I see. Do you also let the writer know why you deleted their fic and where it should be uploaded instead? Because if not, that would be a pretty draconian punishment for a completely understandable mistake.
  4. This Pokémon fic by new member Unova is in the Games section. Which I can't really fault the poster for since the Pokémon games are... well... games. But I guess it needs to be moved to the Anime section anyway. Also, their disclaimer needs work.
  5. I'm not sure if I should be requesting a new category for an RPGMaker game, but since it's my policy not clutter up the Misc. section... Category Name: Embric of Wulfhammer's Castle Section: Games Do you have any stories: Of course. One.
  6. Frankly, I don't really care. I'm happy enough that the categories are theree. It's just that... well... it's never consistent. And I like consistency.
  7. Hmm. That's a bit... odd. When I asked for an Ar tonelico section, I got Ar tonelico series, but now I get Mercenaries (all). Is it because the Mercenaries series (all two games) is consistently multi-platform and every Ar tonelico game so far has been restricted to a single platform each time?
  8. Category name: Mercenaries Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes
  9. Well... let's just say, I haven't been able to forget the whirlwind of drama that surrounded Jaxxy's arrival/return. It had something to do with money back then, too. So now that you've taken over dealing with the money... I just hope there won't be a repeat performance, that's all. I'm not sure the forums could survive another one.
  10. Must... resist... snarky... comment. No, but seriously, DemonGoddess061, it's good to see you're apparently on top of things. Hope everything works out smoothly. And... well... hope you and your team of volunteers keeps up the good work.
  11. I don't think you missed it because you replied to it. Twice. Maybe you just forgot. The topic in question
  12. Category name: Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yep On a related note, about a year ago I asked if the Digital Devil Saga category could be renamed to Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga in order to put it near the Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona sections. That was apparently possible, but I'm beginning to wonder how long it's going to take. --added, and edited
  13. Just finding and destroying the tapes she gets blackmailed with would be too easy, right? As would, say, making a video of the blackmailers raping the blackmailed and getting 'em sent to prison?
  14. Got another one... Category name: Ar tonelico Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes -- added as Ar tonelico series, as there are two sequel games to it, too
  15. Another Code is known as Trace Memory in America, yes. However, the sequel to Another Code, Another Code R, only came out in Japan and Europe where it was known as... well... Another Code R. So... yeah. Style Savvy is indeed known as... what you said... in Japan. It's also known as Style Boutique in PAL country (Europe and Australia, basically).
  16. When I'm writing, I usually play the soundtrack for whichever game I'm writing fanfic for. It helps me get into an appropriate mindset. If I'm writing original fic or for fandoms I don't have a the soundtrack of, I usually put on the No More Heroes soundtrack for more exuberant, raunchy fics and Killer7's Multiple Personality track for more subdued, moody fics.
  17. You know what, I'm just gonna request categories for all of my stories that are still in Misc... Category name: Another Code Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes --added as Another Code (Trace Memory) Category name: Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes--added Category name: Style Savvy Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes--added as Style Savvy (Wagamama Fashion: Girls Mode)
  18. Oh dear. This probably isn't a good time to reveal that writing sex scenes is almost always a complete struggle for me, is it? I'm afraid there's only two good hints I can give (other than, be at least somewhat aware of the mechanics of sex). - Know what kind of image or mood you wish to convey. This will help you describe positions, emotions, maybe surroundings. - Know the character who's having sex. This really only works in first person or limited third, though. Basically, I find it helps to imagine what kind of language the character would use to describe what's going on. A prudish virgin is unlikely to desrcibe her hesitant first time as "this hot stud totally pounded the fuck out of my wet pussy with his fat cock". Likewise, a foul-mouthed nymphomaniac is unlikely to use language like "their touches whispered across my skin like petals of a velvet rose" when she's being gang-banged by a bunch of lust-crazed dickgirls. That's... pretty much all the general advice I can give. Know who your characters are and know what you want them to do and go from there.
  19. Probably, yeah. It'd at least give you a basis to work from. Unless what you want to do is so incredibly unrealistic that people won't accept it unless you give a damn good justifcation for it in the text. Personally, I tend to have either a specific image or a specific mood in mind. The challenge then becomes to express that picture and/or those feelings in words.
  20. Category name: Killer7 Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes Category name: Warriors Orochi Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes --added
  21. Category name: Dragon Age: Origins Section category to be in: Games Do you have any stories for it?: Yes. One. --added
  22. About the Games section... The videogames Nocturne, Persona and Digital Devil Saga are all spin-offs and/or part of the Shin Megami Tensei series. Indeed, in all cases their full titles are Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga. So I wonder why the Nocturne and Persona categories can be found under their full titles in S through Z section, but Digital Devil Saga is found in A through F under its... sub-series designation, I suppose. It's sort of confusing. And inconsistent. I'd like it if the DDS sub-category got renamed to Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga and moved to S through Z.
  23. Category: Odin Sphere Section: Games, M through R Stories: Just one at the moment. --added
  24. No, but viewing the site's front page as her own personal megaphone is. Expressing that she'll beg and pray for the people of New Orleans, but not anybody else beset by similar or worse disasters does indeed speak of something rather different.
