That sucketh.

Okay, i attack someone, the battle has to wear off, esp. if i won, no problem. If i kill someone, i shouldn't be able to revive them and kill them again fourteen times an hour, fine. I gotta say, though, if _I_ was killed, and a guildie brings me back to life, i should be able to wreak my wrewenge upon them. Death should, in my humbly offered opinion, reset this particular timer. Thoughts?

I actually do like that limit as things stand. With five attacks at a time, i could wipe out the people at my level and still completely crush some pitiable newbie. But, i pick a weapon that will do enough damage to melt my oponent to component atoms, rush back to my control panel and devour some healing potions, then go pick someone else. The only thing i'm replacing is my strength, no one's gotten a riposte on me in quite a few battles. If the weapons were less powerful, i might still win a fight, gain EXP, but take a hit, while leaving both of us alive at the end.
-
At this point, it hardly matters. I have four legal targets right now. Ten attacks would only benefit the lower levels, attacking upwards. Of course, that might speed their advance up to my level where i can reach them to make them pay for the indignities they have inflicted upon my august personage...
-
DIE! I mean, um, i have also noticed that. I was actually thinking of sitting out for a while, so others would catch up on me, increase the number of selectable targets. Then someone got TWO levels above me. They had to die. it was just that simple. I wonder if deleting some of the more incredibly powerful weapons would help? So there's only so much damage you can do to an opponent, which increases the chance they can counter inflict? But if you do that, i'd also open up the number of levels we can reach downwards. If we can't annihilate on a whim, then it would even up the fights. Just a thought.

Yeah, i agree. If it's posted, they want it read. If they didn't put one of those notes on it, 'positive comments only' or such, then it should be fair game to point out anything that makes it harder to read, less likely that you'll be back for other chapters or other works by this writer. Of course, if they do put 'positive comments only' on a story, i tend to skip it. Or 'I cann't spell, Deel with it.'

I'm planning to use: ....unless a guildie with actual artistic ability can offer a better one...
-
Nope. Still says that it's disabled. I also have a message: Today, 01:05 AM DemonGoddess061 edited your Guild Name/Mission Statement and removed Insignia. Was that you testing the system? Just curious, everything's as i left it.
-
Damn. I have four attacks, but only three people are in 2 levels, appropriate targets. Hey, i approved one membership in my guild, but nothing happened. Do they have to accept my approval, or did i do something wrong?
-
If nothing else, you could revive fellow guild members so they don't have to wait forhours to back your play. There's a small revive, five points, lets them heal themselves if they own any potions, and a large revive that fixes everything as near as i can tell.
-
Well, I can see that. Although it's not like you would fight any differently if you were online.Near as i can tell, if your character (you) survive(s) the first attack, you automatically retaliate with the strongest weapon you have the strength to use. If you dies, you come back in 2 hours. No one can attack you while you're dead. There's a limit of four attacks per time period, so you can't just roll over the dead bodies to get to the next one (dammit). I think it just encourages players to check the boards regularly, to see if they need to use a strength or health restorative.

Sexuality and Categories Pertaining to Such
Keith Inc. replied to a topic in Legal Questions/Debates
The survey's limited. And the footnote's wrong. Monosexism is not a belief that there are only two orientations. it's a belief that one should only be of one orientation. Or that such an orientation is superior to being bi. At least, that's what it says at the link provided. Before i read that, I'd have thought that Monosexualism would be the fundamentalist idea that there is ONLY Male/Female orientation, and the rest are perverted affectations. Choices. Personally, i think human sexuality is a sliding scale, not a binary trait. And it even slides on some individuals, within a certain range. Labels may describe certain spots or ranges on the scale, but cannot be completely accurate to describe an individual, not all the time. But i can't pick 'fuck lables' because of the spelling error. -

Memory? I remember paying a quarter to play pong. that the only way that 'Breakout' had colored bricks was because there was a plastic filter on the screen. getting online with a 1200 baud (not kilo-baud, not megabaud...Baud) modem, and that was the SHEEEEEET! watching Monty Python on TV, when only the really weirdo geeks even knew that public access TV existed. watching moon landings, live. Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Now there's a mine ripe for some fanfic... Twilight Zone, first run. Land of the Giants, first run. My mom reading The Hobbit to us on a vacation, in a gas station when the car broke down. And everyone was looking at us weird because mom was talking about goblins and dwarves (when only English Majors and truly dedicated bibliophiles knew what LOTR was). Nixon, and watergate. I remember that phones didn't belong to us, but to Ma Bell. I remember that the first calculator we had in a class had about six functions and was bigger than the notebook computer i used ten years ago. Oh! And the least i've ever paid for a tank of gas was 35 cents.

Well, like all games, people RP with you as long as they have fun. If you make the game, the session, the scene or the story line 'All About Me' then no one else has fun. Same thing if you make the game all about attacking, belittling or otherwise punishing one single player or all others. I guess, keep in mind that all of this is to be a group effort, for the benefit of the entire group. Or if you ARE going to be a Mary Sue, be an incredibly entertaining one.

Probably. But a lot of the critique there against my story...i didn't really think the criticism justified calling 'Gawdawful' on me. Room for improvement, sure. But i didn't think the writing was as bad as the reaction.
-
Yeah. The next chapter (4 is up, now) is the sex chapter. I want my Klondike bar. Half now, half after the story reaches...climax.
-
Chapter two is up now. Edit to ad: Oh, and three, too.

Have You Ever Written A Walkthrough / Guide?
Keith Inc. replied to a topic in Walkthroughs, Hints and Spoilers
I wrote a mini-walkthrough of a way to cheat in an early version of Might and Magic. A way to use two save disks to turn 1 coin per character to a total net party worth of a million in about an hour. Posted it on an early GTE bulletin board. Wow. Now i'm flashing back to a dark screen with green text.... -
Now there's a name generator that'd be easy to write. What's your smurf mafia name? First, go to the 'what's your mafia name?' generator. Cut and paste the name you get there to the inbox here: __________ and press enter. You are ________ Smurf! Wow! I am Fuckin' Comedian Smurf! ------- Anyway, violently resisting the urge to call it: Fuck Smurfette Until She's Blue, i have started: Smurfette and the Potion. http://cartoon.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600091101 I wonder if this one'll get Gawdawfulled...
-
Are you sure they read it? It seems to me that they just look for an excuse to flame.I expect that if i marked my stories with m/m warnings, I would get plenty of 'god i hate homos' reviews, but mighty few 'Hey! Where's the m/m?' replies.

You mean, something along the lines of: http://enigmawing.deviantart.com/art/The-Smurfette-54599999 http://lonelysatyr.deviantart.com/art/Smur...rgamel-48670826 http://the-trio.deviantart.com/art/Smurfette-1766565 http://crazinessisay.deviantart.com/art/Sm...t-Fuck-42986374 http://polo-jasso.deviantart.com/art/Crean...tufina-53544320

Let me think about that for a day or so... I never watched much of the smurfs.
